    Well crafted movie!

My husband and I both enjoyed this movie. Although advertised as a baseball movie it was really much more than that. This movie had a lot of depth in that it was also about relationships. Loved the acting with all characters showing a strong performance...a good time!

    First Rate!

Clint Eastwood has mastered the art of curmugeonry, here on high display. ANd Amy Adams handles any role thrown at her most convincingly. When you mix in baseball, of which I'm a big fan, this is an excellent movie!

    Lighthearted dramedy

I liked this cute movie. Amy Adams is adorable and Timberlake surprisingly cute and grounded. Clint is showing his age and trying to be funny sometimes he gets lost. Good acting by everybody though. This film is not about baseball and children would not be amused with the plot. It was entertaining and it's not a comedy nor a full drama. Clint Eastwood fans will get the most enjoyment out of it.

    TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE

    by joecul

My wife, our friend & I enjoyed it. One of the main reasons I enjoyed it is I love Clint Eastwood. My question is, "How long can Clint keep playing a cantankerous old man with a raspy voice?" Here in "TWTC", he again plays a grumpy old man part and does it really well. But two movies in a row (Torino), may be a bit much. It was well written, along with the expert direction, camera angles & continuity editing made it an enjoyable movie easy to follow.. Eastwood's captivating performance along with the wonderful talents of Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, & John Goodman, make you actually feel their character's up & down frustrations & emotions. This all brought the movie to LIFE, even got my emotions activated.
The only thing that caught MY eye was the ending.. I won't give it away, but in the last few minutes, everything seemingly came together with UNBELIEVABLE circumstances. It was like they needed to finalize the movie, so they dreamed up this "ah come on" climax.

    Great Chemistry, Warm and Entertaining.

Yes, the story involves baseball, but it's a great deal more than that. A warm and easily lovable cast who work perfectly together, bring just the right touch to an excellent screenplay. Even though Eastwood didn't direct this one, his presence is nonetheless valuable. They don't get much better than this. See it. You won't be disappointed.

    Been There, Done That

Maybe I'm getting too old (64) but this movie was a predictible as a shooting in Atlanta. I was predicting the next scene before it started. I'd simply seen this plot dozen's of times over the years and this one held no new twists. If it had I would have been a bit more entertained. For someone under 25 they would probably like it as it had the lastest stars doing a decent bit of acting but if you're over say 35, stay home, you been there and done that.

    I'm Positive!

It may come off as a mere Moneyball, straight-shooter type of film, but I can honestly say it is kind of amazing. Clint Eastwood actually has a humor! Amy Adams does really well in this role and compliments the love interest, Justin Timeberlake. It was definitely a movie where I came out of it feeling like I had spent my money well! I do recommend it if you are in the mood for an uplifting drama.

Great Movie -- great cast and fantastic acting

This was a great story that really appeals to those looking for more depth in a movie than just big crashes or CGI. Clint's still got it and brings home the angst and regret his character is dealing with. Justin and Amy do a great job keeping the love story going and giving the characters some depth.

Older kids can go to this -- a few swear words, a couple times there's a reference to topics that may warrant further discussion.

It's a fun movie, always want to root for Clint to bring it home! You'll enjoy it -- worth the time and money.

    trouble with the curve

Was a great movie. It's great to watch a good clean movie without all the shoot in up and violance. Clint Eastwood still has it. Justin Timberlake was pretty cute also. Love the movie!
Good for anyone over the age of 8.

    Enjoyable Movie

Three couples went last night in spite of the low rating by the critics. I had heard that Eastwood's character was similar to the one he played in GRAN TORINO. That IS always the character he plays...crusty but a softie on the inside. All of us truly enjoyed the movie. Our ages ranged from 55-72. Amy Adams was good, but Timberlake even more enjoyable.

Trouble With the Curve hits a home run for us!

Hubby and I loved it. Not a Clint Eastwood fan, but loved him in this movie. Big fan of Amy Adams and she didn't disappoint. Even enjoyed Justin Timberlake. Very good acting.

Nice storyline. Heartwarming. Really enjoyed the whole film, no parts to "get through". Other than some strong language it's a great movie for the whole family.

    Trouble with the Curve

This was a little surprise. I loved the story. I thought Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake had a ton of charisma for their individual parts and for each other. Let's see more of them. Anything with Clint Eastwood is good quality. This is a movie all persons can see.

A chick flick, not a baseball movie!

Guys, beware! I talked my hubby into going because it was all about baseball. In the middle of the movie, he told me I'd tricked him into seeing a chick flick!

    Trouble with the Curve

I think this movie was good but not great. I love Clint Eastwood, I think he's amazing. I found the story to be interesting but totally predictable. It didn't help that they had Justin Timberlake in it either. He gives a one dimensional performance at best and in my opinion lessons the movie's credibility simply by being in it. Seriously? He's going to measure up to Clint Eastwood? He doesn't even deserve to be in the same room with him let alone share the big screen with him. Amy Adams delivers a solid performance, as usual. She is believable and likable too. The way the whole movie wraps up is far fetched and a quick fix for something that should have had a more realistic ending. All in all I was glad to have seen it but I'd wait for it to find it's way on cable before spending any money on it in the theaters.

    Classic Clint!

Clint has put out so many good movies. I will miss him when he's gone. This was classic Clint! My wife and I loved the movie. Amy Adams was equally good. Can't say good enough things about this movie. Go see it!
