    The Trouble With The Curve

Excellent movie -- we had a blast. Clint is amazing ... and his movie daughter was just dynamic. We all loved it. Baseball movie of the decade. Great, great, great!!!

Why we like Clint Eastwood movies

The move was excellent - definitely a must see. Not only does Clint Eastwood play his characters so well, he makes all the other actors better. I can only imagine how he worked with Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake, terrific in their own right, to make the story so good, the lines so real, the characters emotions so real. In addition to the acting, I thought the directing and writing were terrific. The plot was good and while you may see where it was going, there was plenty of plot to make it interesting. Pretty much for any age but definitely some language and content not for everyone. Whether you are an Eastwood fan or not, it's an enjoyable story with good actors and a good story - go see it for yourself.

    Uplifting

A feel good movie that you walk away from with a smile. Eastwood as an irrascible old man as only he can be. Story is predictable but plenty of laughs and issues. A good escape and fun.

    Great feel good movie

    by Jthewn

Entertaining light feel good movie. Great chemistry between Amy Adams, Clint Eastwood and Justin Timberlake. And its over the backdrop of baseball but it doesn't consume the plot. Predictable but in a good way. Leaves a good feeling as you leave.

    The Curve

    by tfscott

I really liked this movie. It was somewhat predictable, but I liked it. Clint did a great job as the crotchety aging father. The tension between the father and daughter was believable. Justin did a good job and he is so cute : )

    Trouble With The Curve

Very good movie...Clint Eastwood is still a terrific actor and director. The story line, although the ending was somewhat predictable was so good...several twists throughout and all in all...just a feel-good movie.
    I definitely recommend it.

    Bravo

    by

Thank you for releasing an entertaining movie which did not require explosions or killing or 3 dimensional hocus pocus in order to be a crowd pleaser. They audience was attentive and reactive, the story line timely and current. Clint's like fine wine and Amy & Justin have definitely evolved in their trades.

If I had 4 hands there'd be 4 thumbs up!

No trouble with the curve to be expected

Proudly and pointlessly anti-Moneyball (2011) and only marginally evolutionary for Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, and Justin Timberlake, this is nevertheless a high-production value worthwhile effort even if you don't like baseball. Work and family dynamics are the heart of the matter and well worth five bucks and theatre candy prices. In the final analysis men may not have feelings, but they do have baseball. By the way, Justin Timberlake continues to play pretty much the same character, someone who seems to be pretty much himself, but that's not a bad thing at all. He may yet do something truly great.

    No trouble with the movie

We really enjoyed the film. Clint eastwood was his great typical self, but Justin Timberlake suprised us with a pretty good proformance. The woman (girl) who played Clint's daughter did an awesome job. The movie made us alugh and cry just the right amount. Academy awards? We will see.

Great Movie, Also Clint was fantastic as always. OK for mature children 14 & over. Maybe A. A. nomination. All actors were on the money. Kid

A chick flick, not a baseball movie!

Guys, beware! I talked my hubby into going because it was all about baseball. In the middle of the movie, he told me I'd tricked him into seeing a chick flick!

    Funny, feel good, movie

When I first saw the fan reviews for this movie--shortly after it's release-- I was shocked to see that they were the lowest of any movie I've ever considered on this site. Wow--I thought, how could a Clint Eastwood movie be THAT bad???
    We decided to go anyways.
Glad we did. My husband and I loved the movie. And the rest of the large audience seemed to feel the same. Seriously: it was a great movie.

So what was the deal on the 'OH NO!" reviews it originally received? (They have since gone up).
We could only conclude those reviews were from people who didn't appreciate Eastwood's appearance at the GOP convention. Well they have the right to their free speech same as Eastwood. I doubt their efforts will have any effect on the success of the movie. Too bad people feel the need to lash out and punish just because someone has a different opinion /political leaning.

    Lovely, light

For those of us who don't enjoy violence, horror, guts and gore, this was a fabulous movie. I adore Amy Adams, and Clint Eastwood was fabulous as a grouchy old curmudgeon!

A little trouble with the curve

I was a bit disappointed with the story line of this movie. The plot was predictable ? the bad guys got what they deserved. But that's okay because it felt good when it happened.

I thought the ending would've been better without the Justin Timberlake character returning. (Come on, everyone knew he'd come back.) Why? The Amy Adams character deserved someone better. He only came back after he found out she was right and he was wrong. If he had to come back, she should've told him to take a hike.

I also think the writers missed an opportunity when Clint explained to his daughter how he beat up a guy. He should've said he sent her to live with an uncle because he was sent to prison. And he didn't write because he didn't want her to know he was in prison. That would've been something out of his control rather than being bad judgement.

But I liked the movie and would recommend it, especially to baseball fans.

    Wait to Rent it

The movie was slow & very predictable. Not Eastwoods' best performance - same character just a different movie. Do yourself a favor, Don't Spend $10.00 to see it, wait for the rental!
