    I left annoyed!!!!!!!!!

To start i want to say I love these movies, there always fun to watch with a group. I went in knowing these movies are always half as scary as the commerical promises but still had expectations that i would be scared. This movie isnt scary until the last few minutes, im serious. Movies like these tease you out of your ten dollars cause they auidences want to be scared and we'll go see just about anything to find that feeling, so they just shell out another sequal. I was pissed but theres like 10 scares before the one real one that are seriously nothing. No sequal can ever recreate the terror that the original instilled in me. When i saw the first one i had to sleep with the lights on, honestly and this one i forgot about when i got home. Waste of time and ten dollars.

    Not Scary at all!

    by

I was extremely disappointed in this film! It was just about some creepy kid who lived next door. There were very few ghost scares. Just stupid pop ups. The ending was by far the worst! Save your money.

    Paranormal is getting tired...

    by

The first two were scarier. This one didn't even really advance the story line, and left us with more questions than we had before. The camera angle didn't offer anything new except the X-Box infrared stuff, and they didn't even really play that to full effect. It could have been much better. If Paranormal 5 comes out, I won't be going to see it.

Go but don't make it urgent

    by jsmcks

I had just seen my first Paranormal Activity the night before. It was #2. #4 started with the ending of #2 so I wasn't out of the loop like I thought I would be. I don't really care for the way these movies are recorded/made but I did enjoy it and I enjoyed the mind twists that it takes. The ending was a complete surprise to even the people I went with who have seen all of them.

    paranormal activity 4

All good things must come to an end. This is the first time I was at a movie, and the audience booed and groaned at the end. It slow paced, way too similar to previous Paranormal movies. In fact, it was so similar that the movie itself and everything about it was "normal" and lacking the same "this is too real" shockers. The end, was at best, cheap, predictable, and disappointing.

    Paranormal Activity 4

    by

PNA4 runs the gamut from being oh so predictable to throwing nasty little surprises out there at you. It was mildly entertaining, even if it mirrored the three before it almost exactly. It was just slightly more cutting edge this go around, with knives falling out of nowhere, and smart alek kids living across the street. What was most amusing was the reaction of the crowd in the theater, screams abounded. OH boy, can't decide whether I will go see Part 5 or not, guess I will have to wait and see what the trailer brings...

    Terrible....

Don't waste your money on this movie. If you thought the ending to PA3 was bad, your definitely not going to like this one either! There were a few laughs, nothing that scary at all, and the majority of the action happens in the last 15-20 minutes of the movie. I even found myself rooting for the demon to take out the Mom the first, how annoying she was... I know I will definitely not see another one of these installments. Very disappointed...

    Really!?!

    by

I really hope they don't make a PA 5. It was so bad we fell asleep about half way through. The theater was also extremely hot. I wish there was a to get compensated for seeing a bad movie. I recommend waiting to see this movie until comes out on Blue Ray/DVD.

    Previews Give it Away

    by

We've seen it all before, and anything we HAVEN'T seen in the previous 3 movies, we got to see in the previews for this film.

There are some great jump-out moments and a creepy kid always increases the terror factor in any horror film. However, the story line is a little tired. The way the video recording was incorporated was fresh, which did keep this film from being a total loss. Kathryn Newton as Alex was believable and her rapid breathing during intense scenes incited anxiety. Matt Shively was an excellent source of comic relief, and the timing was perfect.

Some of the supposed scary stuff - i.e. levitating - seemed ill-placed and frankly it was obvious Alex was wearing a harness. I will say the X Box Kinect stuff was cool and it definitely kept me focused on the screen. I think there were some missed opportunities during those scenes in terms of jump-out moments.

Overall, we've seen it before but it's still worth the trip to the theater.

    Don't waste your money!

    by drav32

This was a bad movie. It's not worth the $27 I paid for me and my boyfriend to go see it. It's not nearly as scary and creepy as the first two. This is corny and predictable at times, so just don't go. I wish I hadn't. Instead, go see End of Watch. Awesome movie! And I heard Argo is great, too. I wish that we would have gone to see that one instead.

    Where can they go now?

All the activity has led to what?! This movie was what you're expecting nothing new there! While I loved the movie, I must say that I would rate it below the other three. It is slow compared to the other three. Not alot going on really. It focuses more on the f***ed lil kid from across the street. I would go watch it again and will buy the Blu-ray when it comes out but I would have to give it an 8 out of 10. They focused a lil bit on the circle in the triangle design but never explained it?! Why put it in the movie if you're not going to elaborate on the significance of it? The ending is the best part of the movie. Brace yourself for the last 15 minutes, as it is easily the most f***ed part of the movie!! Still, if you're a fan of the series you will want to see this movie just don't expect anything new. Don't really know how much more they can do with this series. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Still just want to see how much more they can do with this.
