    Great ending, not-so-great overall

    I loved the ending (scariest part of any of the Paranormal Activity movies, but the rest of the movie felt as though it was missing a couple more large scares. I'd recommend seeing this movie, but wait for it to come to DVD and pay $1 from Redbox.

    If you have the money why not!?

    It was a pretty good movie, but it was definitely not worth going all the way the the theater and paying 11.50 for it. Like all the previous paranormal activity movies, they always wait right up until the very last 10 minutes or so to get super scary! This film attempts to do the same thing, but the last couple of seconds left me more with questions rather than scared. Then again I'm not sure if maybe that's what the director intended so that we could go see the next film. But Since I've seen all 4 in theater, I have to go see the 5th one (if there is one). I had way to many questions at the end of paranormal activity 4 to not go. The scary scenes throughout the movie are almost predictable but still have their own little twist so their still kind of good, but if you like having questions at the end of a movie then this is a must go!

    I want my money back

    In 2012 ? A boring, predictable, snooze-fest haunted our theaters. This latest installment of the Paranormal Activity Franchise, is surely, the sequel that should never have happened. I found no scares, no thrills, just a sum of money missing from my wallet. I usually pick up movies to complete sequels, but.. this one would be a total waste of my time.

    Previews Give it Away

    We've seen it all before, and anything we HAVEN'T seen in the previous 3 movies, we got to see in the previews for this film.

    There are some great jump-out moments and a creepy kid always increases the terror factor in any horror film. However, the story line is a little tired. The way the video recording was incorporated was fresh, which did keep this film from being a total loss. Kathryn Newton as Alex was believable and her rapid breathing during intense scenes incited anxiety. Matt Shively was an excellent source of comic relief, and the timing was perfect.

    Some of the supposed scary stuff - i.e. levitating - seemed ill-placed and frankly it was obvious Alex was wearing a harness. I will say the X Box Kinect stuff was cool and it definitely kept me focused on the screen. I think there were some missed opportunities during those scenes in terms of jump-out moments.

    Overall, we've seen it before but it's still worth the trip to the theater.

    AS THE TILE SAYS THIS IS MY OPINION OF PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4.
    I THINK THAT THIS MOVIE IS ONE OF THE BEST THE HAVE EVER MADE !!!!!!!
    WHAT I SAW IN THE MOVIE AND WHAT I HEAR ABOUT THE MOVIE IS THAT IT HAS ALOT OF SUSPENSE. OTHER PEOPLE THINK THE OPPISITE BUT THATS THERE OPINION.

    Movie for PA die-hards!

    The movie was great, and was fun to follow. But I think it lacks in getting you scared! Overall its a good movie you won't regret seeing it!

    It's worth the price

    Like all other paranormal activity movies this one is slow for first half and then then rest scares the heck out of you. You might want to bring a change of underwear!

    The ending was absolutely horrible and nothing about the movie was scary. At most I laughed at the people at made this. I guess there was a reason why we were the only people there.

    PA4

    This movie...

    After seeing the movies get better and better, I had very high hopes for this movie. I did not expect any of the scenes in the trailer to be in the movie, and unlike PA3, all but one were in the actual movie. Additionally, the camera work in this movie felt very forced. Unfortunately, I felt as though they took zero risks while filming. The movie did not reveal any new information and left me with a lot of questions.

    Better than I expected

    Before seeing this film, I constantly was thinking that it would be horrible. I loved the others but how many times can you have a movie that is pretty much the exact same? But I was wrong, the movie was very good and creepy as heck. Not once did I think "oh here we go, just like 1-3" Paranormal activity 4 was different in the creepy factor this time than all the other ones, of course there was a few of the same things, but they also added some new elements into it. I would see this again. It is scary, and even funny at times, and the characters are very likable.

    Still terrifying!

    It's the same premise as the other movies but how the plot ties into the third movie, coupled with the modernization of the characters and settings, really makes it an intense experience from start to finish. If you're a fan of the franchise, this is a must see!

    nothing can top the original

    Actually I didn't expect much of this movie since to me the title I used for description says in all. I think because the first one didn't have much advertising, as an audience you didn't know what to expect. But at this point with so many wannabe's behind the whole premise you can only see where the storyline takes you. It does have a few jump and whoa did you see that moments. The dialogue between the teens in this movie was really irritating and the video chat between the teens reminded me of Blair Witch in some scenes. My only question is how did two boys come to be in this story when originally there was only one Hunter?

    Not as good as the last one

    I understand that the third one was found to be the past of the past three movies, so it might not be fair to compare it to the past movies.

    Paranormal Activity 4 has its cool factor from the KINECT dots being projected and stuff along those lines. The MacBook does a great job at immersing you in a scene where seeing the character whirling around and trying to figure out what's going on, while capturing decent emotion.

    However, half of this movie is composed of two horny teens, two indolent, dimwitted parents, and two boys... with your demon-mama showing up from time to time. The incidents seemed far more predictable/drawn-out. And the scene with the boy on the big-wheel seemed more like a nod to The Shining than its predecessors.

    Don't get me wrong, tensions rise halfway through. I had a tingly arm and a petrified girlfriend at the end of the flick. I guess I can just think of far worse things to happen.

    I don't know why there we're so many negitive reviews on this flim from fans of Paranormal Movies...What did you all expect.
    It's Paranormal. It you remembered # 3 at all, where the hell do ya think they we"re gonna go ?

    You Never really know what to expect "Do You "
    I was not disappointed ,or did I feel ripped off. I liked the family dynamic of this one , not just focused on sisters you hardly saw.
    The camers angles we're good.
    1 to 10 . I give it 8

    As usual there are questions not answered and I always want more shock & chill's from my scary movies,,but over all I would have regetted not seeing # 4 on the big screen.
