Waited a long time for this one...and it was worth the wait! Best superhero movie ever! The 3d effects were not over stated and I really enjoyed the storyline. Can't wait for the next one!

A Movie You Will Want To See More Than Once!

This was an action packed fast paced movie that you will definitely want to see more than once. All four of us loved it and reccommend it to others.

Amazing movie, great action and lots of humor. One issue, release weekend needs to have atleast 1 theater that does not allow little kids, so true fans can enjoy without wiggling, talking and crying.

The Avengers

In 3D was fabulous ... my 8 year old twins were not stunned by the violene which was tame compared to some video games. All in all we had a wonderful time and largely due to a splendid movie. The characters were familiar but had little things to learn about each one. The story was a good one. The effects were superb. Great movie to see again and again.

Fun!

Lot's of fun to see, especially in 3D. Sometimes the action was too fast for the plot for this Senior, but in general, just a great, fun time in the movies!

Rare to have so many great characters in one movie. Action all the time. Even several funny moments. If you love sci fi and/or comics, this is a MUST SEE!

Highly entertaining and full of action. Joss Whedon does a great job of pulling characters together. He also finally does the Hulk some justice. There are quite a few surprises in this movie. All in all, this is how comic book movies should be made.

Whedon's Masterpiece

Highly recommend The Avengers. The action was nearly non-stop and the interaction between all the heroes and supporting cast was done perfectly in the way only Joss Whedon can get it done. Witty, thoughtful, and immersive. The only weakness perhaps was the villain, Loki, since I didn't really understand/accept his motivation. Highly recommend watching Thor prior to The Avengers in order to understand the whole "other worlds" stuff and magic/science -- aspects of the movie that the other technology-based movies done before (Iron Man, Capt America, Inc. Hulk). Can't wait for the sequels!

Best Action Film!

THE best action adventure film I have ever seen! My kids (ages 7&9) loved it as well. The small comedic quips kept the audience interested outside the action scenes, and most of which my children understood and laughed at. The plot was consistent and the action was exciting (the 3D version). This movie really brought all the Avenger's characters together.
Can't wait for the next one!

Fantastic Movie

The best thing about The Avengers is that no matter which way you look at it, it is a fantastic movie. If you're looking to laugh, you will. It has suspense, plenty of action, a love story, etc. I read about the fact that the makers of the movie flawlessly merged all the characters equally into the movie, but honestly I was a little bit skeptical. When I saw it, I found that it really was true that no one character had the most attention. Overall, I would recommend the movie to anyone and can't wait to see it again.

Absolutely Incredible!!!

Best movie I have seen in a long time!!! Not only, is there a TON of Action, but it is hilarious too!!! There are so many snide comments and jokes handed out by all the characters and just enough emotional distress that it does not become too sappy. The whole package is intense and never slows down. Every actor did such a great job with his or her parts and for me, stayed in character throughout the show. Definitely a must see!!!

Awesome action, some funny comedic lines had the crowd roaring at times too.
A definite Go To action movie. Maybe even a second time once the weekend crowd dies down.

Very well done..start to finish

The addition of Thor & Capt America really took this flick to another level. Iron Man/Stark didn't overplay his part--& the characters are not (yet) a parody of themselves, which I could see Iron Man easily becoming. They did a very decent job incorporating all these characters without convolution of story line.

The 3D treatment seemed subtle compared to other recent releases like John Carter etc. You don't notice a bunch of hit-you-over-the-head 3D in the movie, but the effects stand on their own & I was impressed w/ the CGI which did a good job mixing live sets & generated character blending--particularly w/ the monster army creatures..

Unless the new Spiderman really crushes it, Avengers will probably become the blockbuster of the summer.

Marvel The Avengers

Amazing. Joss Whedon outdid himself! There were ten of us and we all laughed and were amazed. Have been telling everyone else they need to go. Thor and the Hulk together are a riot. Iron Man's humor is priceless. Black Widow "does her own thing." 3D is really well done. Interation between everyone is fun. VERY well written.
