    Great Culmination of Several Storylines

    by damonr

They did an amazing job on this movie, Joss Whedon delivered with his brand of classy and intelligent humor. The acting was above average, and I was sincerely impressed with the culmination of all the characters storylines form other films. The biggest reason it doesn't get a 'Must Go!' is that the plot was a little predictable. But, it's not like anyone goes to see a superhero movie because they want thier lives changed in some way. It is truly just for entertainment, and in that arena this movie delivered in spades.

    Best Super Hero Movie Ever!

This is now my favorite super hero movie!! Every character had a part and every part was important. Plot was excellent! Nothing like a good villain to threaten Earth and watch him get his butt whooped!

Honest review from a Non Comicbook fan just movie lover

Just saw The Avengers which was a pretty well done movie. A lot of action but a good balance between action and humor so it wasn't overwhelming like many other high action movies. Unlike the Tranformers sequels that just try to be as big as possible, The Avengers is the biggest action movie I think up to date that doesn't make you feel like you have to take a nap afterwards. Suggestion: If you don't see it in the theaters I don't think you would appreciate the scope however you could wait for the crowds to die down. I don't see many movies twice in theaters but I am seriously considering this a second watch.

The 3D doesn't make the movie any more or less amazing. It just helps with the experience. At no point does anything pop out of the screen. However the depth that it provides in the action sequences is pretty amazing at points. Although if you are worried about shelling out the extra couple bucks per ticket you don't have to worry about losing anything with the non 3D version

    Awesome!!!!!

Movie was a little slow to start, boggy during the back story, but more than made up for it in the final battle. Stay through the credits, you won't want to miss the sequel tie in (can anyone say "Infinity Wars"). The only real con I have here, which also relates to the Thor movie, is why can they not call the Tesseract, what it is, which is a cosmic cube from the comic books.

Other than that, the movie rocks!!!

    Marvel's The Avengers 3D

Awsome! A fun time to be had. The 3D and CGI appeared to be seamless. Witty dialogue for the adult kids in the audience. Can't wait to see it again on Blueray ! It must be fun to dress up in cool costumes and play superhero!

    What Superhero movies should be

    by

This movie was about as good as superhero flicks could be with a task large enough to warrant all the heros combined and plenty of character for the audience to invest in. Joss Whedon did a magnificent job at blending comic one liners and events for every character to make this not only a memorable movie, but the most entertaining films in Marvel's history.

    Action packed!

    by

This movie was awesome. Well written, great story line. Lots of action with the various characters, though it was not over-the-top, or hard to keep up.

Lots of comical moments that I like to associate with these heroes.

My only beef is that I just don't like 3D; it gives me a headache. Other than that, it was definitely a must see for action/comic fans.

    This was Joss Whedon???

I was SHOCKED to find out this was directed by Joss Whedon. Movie was very disappointing. There was no storyline, no character development. The actors all did a great job (Downey Jr. was a bit too annoying, though). But the actors couldn't save this film. Way too much special effects. Should have spent most of that time on characters/storyline so that we actually cared what happened to these characters. Could have been so amazing. Was looking forward to this for a loooong time. Bummer.

    Avengers Assemble!

This is a MUST SEE (pre)summer blockbuster! Great action, good story and the clip at the end... can't wait for Avengers 2! Robert Downey Jr. makes this film; a lot of actors could play Iron Man but very few could play Tony Starks and he nails it so perfectly it just rings true throughout the whole file. Stay to the VERY end after the credits.

    AVENGERS 3D

Overall I thought the movie was good. It was great to see one of my favorite comic books come to life in 3D. Even though I liked the fight scene at the end, I thought it wen a little long. I would give the movie a B+

    Avengers

    by wkoepke

A must see for Marvel Fans - great story line and a hidden teaser at the end. The movie is phenominal especially in 3-D and I have to say that the only problem is in a few super fast action scenes you can get a little sea sick.

    The Avengers 3D

Real D 3D was excellent. No complaints.

The movie was good. I will have to see it again so I can ask for the hearing disabled device for better listening as the volume level where I wenr to see it was not loud enough for my preferences.

When I see it again I will come back and give a better review.

But see this movie in 3D. The visuals were excellent.

    Must see!!!

    by

This was a movie I have been anticipating since the announcement. It did not disappoint!!!From start to finish,I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it.The bits of comedy in it kept me laughing, while the action kept me on my seat. You don't have to be a comic book fan to enjoy this movie.I would highly recommend seeing it in 3-D,as some of the scenes jumped out at ya!!!All in all, great movie, one to take the family to go see!!!

Special effects were unreal, just wonderful.

I have to be honest and say the beginning was a little slow. It was like someone trying to tell a joke with 10 minutes of usless information just to set it up. After they all got to know each other it was wonderful. The effects were out of this world and I can't wait for the next Avengers movie to come out.

    The Avengers

Five out of five stars! It was brilliant. I came in slightly skeptical, but it ended up being wonderful.
I don't know how Joss Whedon and company did it, but I completely fell in love with every single character. The bits of humor during the fighting were great, and the CGI was wonderfully done.
I recommend it for anyone, though the fighting scenes might be a bit much for kids under seven. Use your judgment as you will.
