    Delightful!

    by Mrse04

We loved the movie and the fact that it required some background research was an added bonus. The fight scenes were (naturally) epic and the dwarves were fantastic. Our only complaints (if they even qualify as complaints) were that Thorin was unreasonably attractive for a dwarf and we're not excited about having to wait for the next two films.

We were back in the Shire!

Picked up in a perfect place, made sense (except one item that know the films from before will see...hint, Gandalph caries it and so did Stryder in movies past) enjoyed every second, Middle Earth is real and we're going to visit again next year!!

    Expectation exceeded

I am an avid fan of Tolkien and this movie has something for everyone. I saw the 3D version and was not disappointed. Peter Jackson has done an end to end great job while staying true to the story.

    Just...bad

    by kerry7

I struggled to stay awake. Some people left halfway through the film.

Boring, almost three hours long, and a desperate attempt to imitate the magic of the LOTR trilogy. Wait until it is on cable.

    Great Movie

Great special effects and the 3D was worth the extra money. Started a little slow but ended wanting more and it did not feel like 2 hours 49 minutes. Not as good as The Lord of the Rings trilogy, but I cannot wait until next December to see the next installment.

    Hobbit

Great movie, if you a fan of the Rings films this one fits nicely. Most reviews I read complained of it being slow to develop. I thought it was great.

    The Hobbit

We felt the movie was anti-climactic, too much time spent on various sequences but overall a good movie, the special effects & animation were awesome, the performances by the elven were kind of wooden. There just didn't seem to be to cohesiveness of the trilogy.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey 3D

This was a must see move for me. The build-up to the release really got my attention. I saw the 3-D version and it was excellent. The quality of the 3-D as well as the movie was greater than I expected. The graphic of the scenes and the movie content was well done. Everyone should see this movie this season. Can't wait for the next one.

Absolutely go see it on the big screen in 3D

It was a wonderful adventure (to the point it stops JUST when it is about to get even MORE exciting), and the 3D did enhance it. I can hardly wait for the next installment.

    A wonderful journey

Though this could easily be cut into one long movie (with a lot cut out), it's done well. A bit detailed, but I actually liked it. Loved the book and cartoon version years ago, very pleased with the movie version finally coming to life.

    Very good

I thought that splitting the book into three movies would be a mistake. I stand corrected. this movie was very well done. Can't wait for the next one.

    AN ADVENTURE FOR ONCE!

Although this movie was three hours long I enjoyed it very much. The quality, and movie graphics are amazing. I fell asleep watching Twilight because it lacked the stimulation that I need. This movie makes me want a Hobbit very badly.

    The Hobbit in 3D

For die-hard fans of Lord of the Ring I would probably rate it "Go", as for me, I was disappointed, especially with the 3D version. It is not worth an additional $4 per ticket since there was not much of a 3D effect. There were plenty of scenes where it could have been spectacular, but for some reason it did not come out that way. Also, the movie is telling only half of the story (presumably, the other half is in the making?...) and is really unnecessary long with lots of boring moments that could have been easily cut off.

    Hobbit, Remastered

    by TomHoag

Both my girlfriend and I enjoyed the movie. Great visuals, good flow. I read The Hobbit several times and I went to the film without any particular expectations. I can see where a book purist would have been disappointed but we're already looking forward to the next part of the story.

    In 3D Must Go

With an intermission I could have watched another 3 hours for the second part. That's my only real complaint. I wish Peter Jackson had just made it one big epic movie. Loved the characters, the scenery and cinematography. In 3D, it was riveting. A must see for Lord of the Rings fans.

Theatre Complaint: Mobile Ticket did not work even with new Fandango scanning device. Theatre staff handled quickly and pleasantly with confirmation number.
