    Turd

    This movie was not that good. It started out strong, I was really in to it for the first 30 to 40 minutes, but then it just went downhill. You would think with this being a Jason Statham movie it would have really good fight scenes, but it didn't. Don't get me wrong it had fight scenes, but they were border line stupid. Also, I'm not a hater but Jennifer Lopez was awful in this movie. I give it a 6 out of 10.

    A Real Man

    Taylor Hackford has succeeded in directing a movie where the lead acts on principle, undeterred by financial or sexual temptations. Parker is as tough as nails and relentless in his pursuit of justice. At one point the Patti Lupone character declares, "Now that's a real man." So true. Good performances turned in by Stratham, Lopez and Lupone. This is a movie well worth seeing.

    Excellent Action Movie

    January-February 2013 shows promise of being Nirvana for fans of action movies. We have new movies by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Mark Wahlberg and a new "Die Hard" picture to look forward to. "Parker" sets the bar pretty high in terms of plot, dialogue and casting. I love a good revenge movie and this movie evokes memories of Lee Marvin's "Point Blank" and Mel Gibson's "Payback". Jason Statham plays it straight and brutal as the "good" criminal (he only steals from those who can afford it and doesn't hurt anyone who doesn't try to hurt him) who seeks to avenge himself against his former partners who double crossed him. Mr. Statham has become a reliable action star who consistently satisfies his audience. And like Bruce Willis, his characters get tired, hurt and bloody when shot, stabbed or otherwise attacked by his opponents. Jennifer Lopez does a good job in a supporting role that complements Statham's character. Her scenes with her mother are priceless.

    Frustrated to say the least..

    I understand this is just another routine Statham shoot-em-up film, but cmon! The first 30 minutes were awesome! Then it turns into the cliche story of revenge... I mean, if you're fine with Statham messing some people up, watch this.. but goodnight! Can an audience get some creativity!?!

    Weak characters and waaaay too long.

    Weakest story line and characters I've ever seen in a Jason Stathan action film. The concept of a cross over between a British hunk/martial arts fighter and American trailer trash con just did not work. All the characters lack any spark and fall flat--by the end it didn't matter, to me, if they lived or died. I wasn't really sure when the movie ended but I followed the rest of the auidience leaving the auditorium. This film would truly justify "stealing" a second movie at a multiplex. I have been more invovled, excited and turned on by a electronic store ad I got in the mail than this movie. I've never seen Jenifer L so dull. I don't know if they were trying to make her look unattracive but they did a great job of it. This is one of Jason's bad movies--and I say that with great regret and disapointment. I wanted to like this movie but it was just too boring---cast of dozens shot in dowtown Bush Parie (population 526)..

    Cover Your eye

    I went with my Husband he loved it! Jennifer was very good! The movie was very bloody,and I covered my eyes and ears for most of the movie! It was violent but charming. Glad I went I am glad that Jennifer is acting again! There was a bit to much blood but enjoyed the ending!

    Not Stratham's best effort

    If you want to see Stratham in a first rate movie, See "SAFE", which has twice the action, more of a story and a much bigger budget. This movie gave me the feeling of a low budget action movie, even though Stratham is one of my favorite action stars.
    I agree with the other reviews that said that Lopez was thrown in to try to help the box office draw, but even though I love her, she did little to help the movie.
    It is rated R due to some unnecessary nudity but in general it was a violent PG. I doubt that I would see this movie again even on Redbox.

    Great movie

    I loved the movie Parker. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The characters were very interesting to watch. Jason was, as usual, very good. The action scenes were incredible to watch. He gets the tar knocked out of him. I will buy this when it comes out on CD. I have all of his movies, although I haven't as yet seen them all. He keeps on getting better & better and I hope one day he gets the credit he deserves. JLo is also excellent in the film, as is the rest of the cast. I also liked Patti Lupone as JLo's mother. One of the reviews said she was too over the top. I think Ms. Lupone played it perfectly. This is a must see movie for Jason & Jennier's fans.

    Parker

    I've read all the Parker novels by Richard Stark aka Donald Westlake.
    Lee Marvin played him in Point Blank (1967), Mel Gibson in Payback (1999),
    and now Statham in 2013. All 3 are good screen versions of the books.
    Thumbs way up from The Film Buff!

    Jason Statham never disappoints

    I went to see Jason do his thing and I was not at all disappointed. It's an escapist movie with a generally predictable plot, but that's what I was expecting. In fact, it exceed expectations in the sense that it had a couple of different story lines that I thought broke up the typical formulaic approach that movies such as this often have. I had read some reviews that said "Lopez was an unnecessary distraction." I disagree--I think she added to the variety. I think the bad guys were really bad and I think that parker was a "noble" bad guy. The action scenes were excellent--a bit fewer than some of his other movies in some respects. But satisfying. I'd give it 3.25/5 stars---but I think that's a strong rating for this genre. I liked it and I say go. You're not going to leave thinking it's the best thing you've seen, but I don't think you'll leave saying "wish I'd seen something else".

    Great movie

    This movie is the classic revenge story. Fast paced, and filled with action from top to bottom. I will never let rotten tomatoes dictate wether I watch a movie again because it's just someone's opinion.

    Great Movie!

    I was so very pleased with this movie. Kept me entertained throughout. Jason of course never fails with his fight scenes and action. Had a good story also. I definitely didn't waste my money this time.

    Jenny out!!!

    I relly liked this movie it had a lot of action and it didnt make me fall asleep, the only thing that I didnt like was why they put Jennifer Lopez in it if she didnt do anything, I thought she was going to be his lover but not even that, she didnt help kill anyone she didnt do anything, I think that thet should have made her at least stathams lover

    Surprising Entertaining

    Really like jason in this movie. I love his accent and he's not so bad to look at either. Non stop action throughout the entire movie. I don't know why Jennifer Lopez was in it, nor a few other scenes that the movie could have done without, but overall great flick and worth seeing it in the theater. If you are a J-Lo fan, she's barely a character in this flick, but in long enough to show us her stellar curves-Dang, she looks good for her age! Go see this!

    Welp love me some Jason Statham! But I found myself sorta bored with the story. But It was worth seeing! In short there are rules to everything that you must follow. If you dont follow them then you invite Chaos into your life. Nobody like Chaos. So moral of the story is Always burn the correct Hay bail!
    P.S.Oh and if you want to see J-lo's ****... welp there is a GENEROUS booty shot. So there ya go fellas a PRIME reason to fork over the 10 bucks!
