A Nice Night Out

An enjoyable night out. First, I was kind of surprised. We went on a Thursday evening and there were people there with kids around 8-10. Now, there wasn't necessarily anything in the movie that they shouldn't see, my wife and I also thought that those kids were probably bored for a lot of the movie during the more grown up, relationship dialogue. There was a good bit of comedy, physical comedy that I'm sure they did enjoy. As for the adults, everyone seemed to be having a good time. I really enjoyed the way they showed the contrasting styles of old school vs. modern parenting. I really enjoyed much of Billy Crystals parts in the movie. The child actors were good, not too over the top except where it was required. A nice, fun date night movie for parents.

Great movie!!

OK, I'm a "Mimi" and I have grand children ;-) so of course i "liked" this movie BUT the big reason also is that IT HAD A STORY LINE AND CHARACTERS AND HAD HEART!! I laughed, I cried!!! A+ movie for moi!

Wow!

This movie is a must see! So enjoyable and heartwarming! The cast was wonderful!! We need more of these. So happy to see so many in the theatre!!

So glad that I ignored the critics

I almost skipped this great film because of the earlier reviews. I am so glad I decided to give it a chance and went with my 9 year old. The movie was delightful and very entertaining. I wish Hollywood would make more flicks like this one!!

It's a real funny movie

This movie made me laugh until my throat hurt it is one hillarious movie. It's is rare that Hollywood could make a movie that's good for the entire family but this is the one no profanity or sexual content. It should be rated G.

It took a while to understand the personalities of the characters. The last 30 minutes were the most developed and moving, especially for grandparents who've experienced the parenting styles of their children.

Great Movie

We thoroughly enjoyed it. It was great to see a movie that didn't need to resort to sex and violence to keep your attention. We laughed throughout.

Parental Guidance is the best family movie for the year

Very cute for the entire family to see. Everyone plays their roles to the fullest and keeps you smilng. The Farty, peeing and poop needs to be eliminated. It is gross but the children seem to like it. Please don't give them ideas that this is acceptable. Other than that, Thumbs up!

great family movie

It was a refreshing experience to sit in a theatre without hearing curse words or seeing racy scenes in what was called a family movie. This trully is a family movie. It is funny, entertaining, enjoyable movie. We sooo enjoyed it!

Loved it

Belly laughed 'til I cried. Bette and Billy are a great comedy team and must do more projects together. Marisa was perfectly cast and the kids, especially the little one, were great.
Well written and and well executed. Great fun!

Movie was very comical and enjoyed it very much. Billy Crystal and Bette Midler were perfect together and enjoy their on screen chemistry. The kids in the movie were quite good little actors and see a long future for them in this field.
Always enjoy Marisa Tomei.

This movie is incredible....the reviews make noooooooo sense....everyone who sees it loves it..it is a good family movie...kids, parents, grandparents... all find laughs and thought-provoking scenes.....this is a low budget movie that took great risks....banking on the hope that people were ready for a wholesome, witty, fun, belly-laughable , loving, movie.....people are proving this to be correct...do be one of those..you will be soooo happy you went..take a tribe with you!

Genuinely Fun, Funny, Warm and Entertaining.

A solid film here, populated with A-list talent that doesn't disappoint. You simply can't go wrong with this one, especially if you like to laugh. See it and take the kids along. You'll neither need to cover their eyes or their ears. You'll enjoy it too. This film's a refreshing change from all the horror and ghoulishness that's been infecting theater screens these past months. A little love and kindness goes a long way and this is one of those movies that reminds us of what's really important in our lives.....children and family.

Good family flick!

Seeing that there were no family movies out there for President's Day weekend, my sons chose to see Parental Guidance and I'm glad they did. It was not a plot-heavy movie but contained enough to move the movie and enjoy the cute moments. We all enjoyed it and I think most would if they were not looking for an Oscar winner!
