laugh & cry with your family!

went to see this movie last night with my 6, 10 & 12 year old boys...we LOVED it! kids laughed and laughed...and my husband and I did lots of head nodding and laughing as we related to so many of the "new parenting" ways that frustrate us as well! a very "true to life" movie with a great script...parts played SO well by all. and i have to admit, i totally teared up at the end...it's got some really sweet and heart-wrenching moments as well. completely family-friendly...there was nothing inappropriate for my 6-year old...although he is a 3rd kid, so we are probably a little relaxed about some language. :/ a must-see for families...the wonderful "cross-generational" message that other reviewers mentioned is right!!!

Great Family Movie

We went to see this Christmas day and what a fantastic movie. We laughed out load and cried and it was just the best family movie. No violence, sex, fowl language...just a great story about family and love! Great movie. MUST SEE!

great time

this is a great funny family movie I saw with my kids; we all anjoyed and laughed through the entire movie and it had nice heartwarming moments. Go see it; there are no robots, explosions, digital Hobbit effects or quests for a ring, just old fashioned movie and acting.

good flick

the movie was good... don't know about great.. but definately a good family movie...I was excited to see bette midler again....she has been hiding for a quite a while...and billy crystal also.. hadn't seen him since "forget paris"...anyway...good movie...barker was hilarious.. I think we will be seeing more of him in the future...I know I have seen harper before, but, I can't remember where..turner was a cutie...great cast..o and the parents were fabulous...lol.. damn, and the take out guy...he was sooooo funny....and carl stole the show....

Very enjoyable. Great family movie!

I thought it was cute, my daughter's (11 & 15) LOVED it! Dad didn't go but he would of enjoyed it too. Sweet, funny, good story line, GREAT family movie for all ages. I think kids 5- 90 would enjoy. My kids laughed the whole time.

So glad that I ignored the critics

I almost skipped this great film because of the earlier reviews. I am so glad I decided to give it a chance and went with my 9 year old. The movie was delightful and very entertaining. I wish Hollywood would make more flicks like this one!!

Very Enjoyable movie

This movie was funny and touching at the same time. The 1hour 45 minute running time seemed to fly bye because you were so entertained by the actors and script.

Great family time!

Our family of 4 saw Parental Guidance this past weekend. What fun! It is a hilarious movie, and did not contain unnecessary inappropriate language or attire. We had a blast, and laughed through the whole thing from start to finish! Movies do n ot have to be inappropriate to be funny! Do you and your family a favor and spend time to see this movie. You won't be sorry!

Mother of 1 daughter and I am 45

An awesome movie for families! Did cry and laugh a lot. Enjoyed every story line in the show. The grandparents looked great too for their ages. This is a must see! :)

It's a real funny movie

This movie made me laugh until my throat hurt it is one hillarious movie. It's is rare that Hollywood could make a movie that's good for the entire family but this is the one no profanity or sexual content. It should be rated G.

Billy Crystal back, at last.

Billy Crystal and Bette Midler play grandparents of kids whose parents just can't let go of control. The grandparents find the kids living in the sterile environment that faces many kids these days: Not keeping score, not eating sweets, etc. They bring a refreshing attitude to the house and win the hearts of everybody in the process...almost everybody. Funny throughout, and not the lazy slapstick comedy of the day/ Good for all ages, great for the whole family.

Very funny and great movie for a family! I brought my two teen daughters and they found many scenes hilarious! So happy to find a movie that really doesn't require, well, parental guidance!!!

Artie to Fartie

When i first saw this movie this morning, at first it was a little bit slow. It was so slow i thought for a second i was going to start falling asleep and thinking this movie might really stupid. Then it started to pick up and it became really enjoyable. The casting was pretty good. Billy Crystal does his best to be funny when he plays as Artie that is a baseball announcer who soon finds out he gets fired from his job. He and his wife Diane who was played by Bette Midler had no clue on how to become grandparents. It was funny when one of the boys started calling his grandfather Fartie and throughout the movie, the name gets stuck and instead of Artie, he is called Fartie.Even the computer security system or whatever they had at the house called him that.

A pretty good family comedy movie for everyone. To learn how to be a happy family even when there are grandparents involved.

Very Funny & Excellent Movie ... A Good Time

Wonderful fun for all of the family. Having raised four kids, and 'supervised' another nine grandchildren, we've 'experienced' many of the same daily character leasons. Great evening together. J&S

Critics are idiots!!!

Ok so it's no Oscar winner but it is a GREAT clean, family funny movie. Thank goodness "normal" people are allowed to write recommendations. I'm not going to go into what it's about just know I'm in my 40's went with my husband and teen kids on Christmas, met a family with grade school age kids, EVERYONE loved it. Ok so my 16 yr old son was just ok with it but we all were entertained.
