It's a must go !!! So funny and emotional at the same time .
Billy Crystal is funny as usual ,Beth Midler is just the perfect partner and Grand ma with Billy in that movie..I love the little song and dance together .. The kids are hilarious, I will watch again and again ...

As a comedy I will give this an "average" rating, but as a mild heartwarming story of a mother and a son reconnecting with one another on an authentic level, I would give it a "go" rating.

one of those real intertaining movie... you laugh , cry,

Billy Cristal and Bette Middler are just great togather remind me of (Cary Grant and Doris Day) old time.

I had a great time ,hade for my money worth , life is all about laugh , go bring the kids...

Non stop laughs!

From start to finish this movie will have you laughing at 90 miles an hour, while slowing down just enough to add an emotional, touching element throughout. The cast is perfect, go see it you deserve it!

Quite possibly the worst movie I've ever seen.

This movie is predictable, badly acted, and has characters that you struggle to like. The little boy is a huge brat that you wish would just go away. I saw some people leave the theatre in the middle of this movie. I wanted to join them, but the family was there with me. I stuck it out to the end. Ugh.

Great Multi-generational Movie! Perfect for co-viewing with Kids, Parents, Grandparents

?Parental Guidance? is extremely funny and enjoyable. This film kept me laughing a lot and I must admit I shed a few tears. My favorite character is Barker Simmons. He has the cutest little face with red curly hair, and cracks me up with some of the things he does. The acting is really good and believable. I can actually see this plot happening in real life - that?s how believable it is. I also like Harper Simmons as she acts very well. She is so intense with her acting and so believable with her crying scenes. I have two favorite scenes. One is when Harper has a mouthful of cake and then says to her mother, ?yogurt is not like ice cream, you lied.? The other is when Artie is at the little league baseball game with his daughter and causes trouble because there is no 3 strike game rule. A lesson in this film is to live your life, love yourself and laugh a lot. I recommend ?Parental Guidance? for ages 6 and up.

a great family movie

I don't know what the critics are talking about they need to get different jobs cause this movie was funny from start to finish and it had a lot of heart and understanding to how things are different from the way most of us grew up and how it used to be to the way a lot of families and teaching methods are changing and starting to become. In general even just to watch it i think it was a really good movie and i would recommend it to anyone.

True comedy

I wasn't real high on this movie when I saw the previews at first, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I had forgotten how good of an actor Billy crystal was. I think I would have chosen a different actress for the grandmother though. The child actors were good and funny in there own way. If you are looking for something to do like I was grab a few tickets to this movie. It is well worth the money.

It was hilarious. Some of the stunts were pretty outrageous but it made you laugh and some of the content was soul searching and make you laugh! Glad we went to see it.

The best part was the last 15 minutes

The best part of the movie was the last 10 - 15 minutes of the movie, as everything finally came together.
The best part of the night was the previews of upcoming movies.
I had high hopes knowing that Billy and Bette were in the movie, but was disappointed by the rambling, very slow story line.
I actually had to leave the theater at one point because I needed a commercial a break from the boredom.

Very enjoyable, and appropriate for the entire family

Very entertaining movie appropriate for the entire family. Captures the generational divide in obvious as well as more subtle ways. Don't let the first third of the movie discourage you, it gets better, especially after the parents finally leave town and the focus turns to the relationships between Grandparents and their Grandchildren. The young actors give excellent performances. Middler and Crystal are very good together and fun to watch. Their imrprov acapella duet in the ktitchen is adorable. The messages in the movie are touching and uplifting and at times hilarious.

Good family movie

We went as a family to watch this movie. It was appropriate for kids and adults. There were some adult references, but it left it to the imagination and nothing kids would get. There were funny moments, cute and some touching moments. Billy Crystal is really funny in this movie, and the kid who,plays Barker is also funny. The kids were laughing out loud during the movie. Recommend taking your kids to see it.

Awesome family movie

I saw this movie with my 11 year old son and his two friends and we all loved it!! Humor was appropriate for all ages. Very touching family movie. I would highly recommend it.

Good, clean fun

Took the wife to the movies for a Sunday afternoon date and while I might have had other movies I would have preferred to see, this is the one she wantyed to see. Turns out, it was very entertaining, laughed out loud at a couple of scenes and really enjoyed the picture.

This was so good! Well worth the cost of the theater ticket. I could watch this over and over. I started laughing from the start. My husband even loved it. Well written, directed, and most of all the acting was superb. As a parent and grandparent, I could totally relate. WELL DONE!!!!!!!
