Good family fun

It's not edgy. Stuff doesn't blow up. There are no animated characters or talking animals. That
said, "PG" is some good-hearted fun for the family set. And the kids are all great!

Hilarious!!

Hubby and I both went and we have completely different tastes and we both laughed our butts off. Minimal profanity, nothing strong. No nudity...family movie. Will purchase Bluray when available!!!

In this case PG means, Pretty Good, but not Great.

Parental Guidance gets off to a slow start, but picks up throughout the movie... a little. Major overacting from Crystal, Midler and Tomei subsides somewhat. But story's decent if a bit expected. Empty-nesters will identify and likely be moved by reality of separation, loss of connection as children become adults. See the matinee... then go to nice 5 pm dinner!

The movie

This was a fantastic Movie! It was great for the kids and i loved it my self! It was the kids Birthday yesterday and they were turning 11 and so they are triplets 1 boy 2 girls. They had 3 Friends over and they stayed the night and we went to go see this movie and im still laughing and so are the kids we loved the movie!

Great Movie

We thoroughly enjoyed it. It was great to see a movie that didn't need to resort to sex and violence to keep your attention. We laughed throughout.

Best movie

This movie is a must see for people who like a good clean funny movie. Don't know when I have laughed so much and been so amused at antics like portrayed in this movie. Will go again and buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Great family movie! Witty, funny and entertaining! Acting was good and we left the theater feeling wonderful! We brought our guests and they loved it too! We highly recommend this movie as a future Christmas classic!

An absolute MUST SEE for the family

One of the best family movies of the year. I am a huge Billy Crystal fan and thought he was awesome. The movie will make you laugh, bring you to tears and make you wonder and reflect. The entire cast is fabulous as is the story line. Definite MUST SEE.

A truly endtertaining movie. Lets your emotions out. Tears, Laughter and not having to dredge that language would be an issue. It goes to show that movies can be entertaining without having to have sexual content and discusting language. A Good writer can get the message across to the viewer without being vulgar. Thank goodness the writers and producers of Parental Guidance did such a good job.

Very Funny & Excellent Movie ... A Good Time

Wonderful fun for all of the family. Having raised four kids, and 'supervised' another nine grandchildren, we've 'experienced' many of the same daily character leasons. Great evening together. J&S

This is a great movie. A must see for the family, they just dont make movies like this much any more and Hats off to Billy Crystal and Bette Midler for such a great movie. It would pay some of the other writers to be more like this. Its shows you can have a great time a make a wonderful movie with out the potty mouth that nearly all movies have now a days. Thank You Billy Crystal for doing such a funny movie that the whole family can enjoy together. My husband and I laughed the whole time and so did everyone in the
theater. I love the Japanese chef, I have not seen him since he played Long Duck Dong in 16 candles. He was funny then and funny now. Great Movie!!!

A feel good family movie

This is a movie for the whole family. It has funny moments, sad moments, and serious moments and it has a lot of real life situations. If you want to take your children to see a movie, I would take them to this one!

Very Funny

I went to see this movie with a friend and we enjoyed it immensely. t is about relationships between the generations. It has a great cast including Bette Middler and Billy Crystal as the grandparents. Great for all audiences. Take your kids.

Go, but only if you need to see a rated PG movie

The only reason I went to this movie was because my daughter is too young to see "Lincoln". The rest of the family headed off to the other theater, while the two of us saw "Parental Guidance" (she's 8, by the way). It's a sweet movie, and I'm glad we saw it. Do I remember anything about it? No. But it was safe to see--no violence, language or sex. Just kids and their developing relationship with their grandparents. There are much, much better movies out there--this is a "filler" type of movie. I appreciate though that the producers took the the time to make a family movie. The actual content of the film is average, but there are a couple of funny moments.

Very Enjoyable movie

This movie was funny and touching at the same time. The 1hour 45 minute running time seemed to fly bye because you were so entertained by the actors and script.
