Great Family Movie

We went to see this Christmas day and what a fantastic movie. We laughed out load and cried and it was just the best family movie. No violence, sex, fowl language...just a great story about family and love! Great movie. MUST SEE!

True comedy

I wasn't real high on this movie when I saw the previews at first, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I had forgotten how good of an actor Billy crystal was. I think I would have chosen a different actress for the grandmother though. The child actors were good and funny in there own way. If you are looking for something to do like I was grab a few tickets to this movie. It is well worth the money.

Loved it.. As grandparents we definitely related to it. Billy Crystal and Bette Midler were great together. The 3 children were wonderful. Thought it was going to be a silly movie but it turned out to be vey heartwarming. We realy enjoyed it.

It took a while to understand the personalities of the characters. The last 30 minutes were the most developed and moving, especially for grandparents who've experienced the parenting styles of their children.

Parental Guidance was an awesome movie it was funny I was laughing for almost the WHOLE movie and I think it's appropriate for kids,it is a great+cute movie too.

Spans the Generations

I saw Parental Guidance the day after Christmas with my dad and my four kids. It's hard to find a movie we all agree on, but we all loved it! Even the 5 year old was glued to the screen, but my two teens and dad literally LOL'd! Totally family friendly, the film was devoid of sex, violence and foul language, although I do wonder if we needed to see Grandma in pole dance exercise class to realize how hip she tries to be. All other grown up inuendos were safely above the little ones' heads, yet present enough to make the move appealing to all ages. The laughter was almost non-stop, and still there were plenty of feel-goods and truths nestled in as we watched what seemed to be ourselves on the screen. A must see.

This was a great Holiday time movie for the whole family. Lots of laughs, some tears-but overall a wonderful movie to take grandma/grandpa and all the kids to see. No fighting, no cursing- Biilly Crystal has outdone himself! You will love the youngest member of the family played by Kyle Breitkopf- watch this little boy- he is going places.

Decent family movie but quite predictable

Like: Family fare, no language/sex/violence, some funny spots, heartwarming, good stab at over-achieving families with psycho-babble child rearing practices! Nice message about marriage more important than kids. Good acting in general.

Dislike: Somewhat predictable story and ending. Unrealistic (just a movie, I know) to show grandparents can fix a host of their grandchildren's life problems in just about 3 days-feel good but not likely in real life.

This movie definitely fulfills its genre expectation, so if this is the type of move you enjoy, you'll likely love it...it's well done.

It was much better than I anticipated. I love Billy Crystal and Bet Midler and was looking for something funny and light. It was so much more. Would encourage any age to see it.

So often it's difficult to find a Comedy/Family movie! THIS was a GREAT movie, we took our 16 & 12 yr. old kids with us and they loved it too. Bette Midler & Billy Crystal were hilarious!!

It's a real funny movie

This movie made me laugh until my throat hurt it is one hillarious movie. It's is rare that Hollywood could make a movie that's good for the entire family but this is the one no profanity or sexual content. It should be rated G.

This was a great family movie with strong family values throughout the dialog that was inspiring and really a good thing for children. Our entire family went and enjoyed it immensely. We all commented that there should always be these type of movies as an option for parents. Better than cartoons or animated shows that sometimes bore the parents to death. These are real people with real life stories. No violence. All around Great.

It's a warm, inspirational story told by great actors. It is perfect for all ages from children to grandparents; there were no trashy words nor bizarre scenes. I hope this movie has a long life!

An awesome movie for families! Did cry and laugh a lot. Enjoyed every story line in the show. The grandparents looked great too for their ages. This is a must see! :)

A truly endtertaining movie. Lets your emotions out. Tears, Laughter and not having to dredge that language would be an issue. It goes to show that movies can be entertaining without having to have sexual content and discusting language. A Good writer can get the message across to the viewer without being vulgar. Thank goodness the writers and producers of Parental Guidance did such a good job.
