    Sinister - Save your Money!!

    by FB34

This has to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Although the plot had some potential - there really was no point to this movie. Apart from the one scene - it wasn't at all scary and the whole section with the children towards the end was just plain stupid. If you are looking for a scary movie - save your money.

    Awful !

This movie was a waste of time. While the premise of the movie was interesting...it fell so short or being anything! Perhaps there were lots of good scenes on the cutting room floor, because there was a lot missing. Too much Ethan Hawke, and really....why was he wearing that cliché "writer's sweater" the entire movie? Was looking forward to a good scary movie - and it just ended up being stupid. And the more I think about it - the more things I found wrong with it.

    Taylor was scared

    by tbarth6

Not a average scary movie is the best way to describe Sinister. The movie had great sound choices that always kept you on the edge. Even though the movie is very revealing when it is time to shut your eyes it still had everyone shuttering. Throughout the movie secrecy of the ominous demon was mind blowing. The story line was very easy to follow and made sense. I think that Sinister was one of my favorite scary movies of all time because it not only kept me cringing every time Ethan Hawke stepped in his office but almost throughout the entire film. Showing how each person is their own demon creates a horrid image in everyones mind that tied the movie together as a whole.

An actually scary horror movie .... for once

Ok, it was super predictable at the end, but overall, it is a really scary movie. I LOVE horror movies but they are usually a waste of money to see in the theater, but this one is good. I actually screamed. LOL. Loudly. Only once, but it was worth the 12 bucks. I am not into slasher flicks and lean more toward the supernatural original Exorcist films all all things scary-kid. If that's what you're into also ... go see this one. It is a little bloody in parts, but does a good job of leaving some things up to your imagination and allows for suspense. Good job, Ethan. I told my ten year old he was not allowed to watch this movie, even when he is 100.

I thought it was extremely boring!!!!! They definately showed the best parts of the movie in the previews. It moved very slow and drug on and on. I almost fell asleep during this film Dlon't waste your time on it. When are they ever going to make a really good and scary horror film again??????????????

    Creeepy

I was holding my moms arm so tight throughout the entire thing. It was scary, and had a lot of moments that make you jump. Some graphics could have been better, and I feel like they could have shown the scary guy more. But it did scare me! I say go see it, the best scary movie out at the moment

Singularly Evil (Don't Listen To The Naysayers!)

If you liked the Paranormal Activities and Insidious (scariest movie I have ever seen, hands

down), you will love Sinister. Mixing myth with what-could-really-happen, Sinister puts you on

the edge of your seat from the opening seen till the roll of the credits. I don't want to spoil any

of the twists! Just go see it!

[Oh, and one more thing! If you do "terrifying" but you don't take "blood & guts" so well, no

worries, mate. Although some scenes will make you want to avert your eyes,

    there's never a need to. ;) )

    This was scary!

    by pedsarq

I enjoy a good horror flick as much as the next guy, but I also appreciate the occasional breaks throughout the film to recover from all the loud noises and sudden scares. This movie doesn't let up! It preys on your fear for the safety of children from start to finish. There's even good dialogue, or at least well suited for the scenes, and it moves quickly between each one. If you're a horror fan, see this film. It's a cut-above the early January type horror garbage and it'll scare you.

Scariest movie I have seen in a long time if not ever.

I love horror movies and see them all the time and Sinister is AMAZING as far as horror films go. It made me jump so many times and it never got stupid like so many other scary movies do. Even the ending was great. If you love scary movies like me, I highly suggest going to see this one.

Made more than one person jump

    by narana

This is the type of movie that is quiet and creepy all at the same time. I enjoyed the plot and the end.

    what a waste

    by

well what can i say without spoiling, might better wait until this movie hits the dollar theater. although there was some good laughs, nothing really happened, just a guy watching home movies, but if that scares you, then by all means, go see it

get in the spirit of halloween. a good creepy movie!

there was a really long plot buildup, but it was extrememly suspenseful. after about an hour, you knew the last thirty minutes were going to be creepy as hell, which they were. i would agree that thsi is not the average horror movie.there were parts where i had to cover my eyes, and there were lots of surprises, and one CHEAP,CHEAP scare, but it was a perfect ending. nothing crazy intricate, but it served its purpose. a good halloween movie. also- the deputy even made it funny at times. good movie, good ideas, and great suspense. go!!!

    Comes up short

    by Jemckn

Save your money! Part of the problem with movies today is that the trailers have most of scares or excites you in them and the rest of the movie leaves you wanting. They build you up, then let you crash and burn and you feel that the movie people stole your money. I'd wait for this to come out on video, its not worth the $10 theatre seat rental.

    Sinister

Go if your 11 years old and want the bagubee's scared out of you, for adults, it was kinda on the PG-13 side. I agree with the person who said it was too dark to see anything; there should have been more showing of the actuall killings. You want to scare me then make Bagool a little more scary!! The writer should be coated in honey and thrown in with 20 hungry baby bears to be licked-tickled into a coma!! (Don't ask what that means-I don't know) Other than that, I was a little scared but not to the point where I couldn't turn out the light. I slept very soundly!!
