    4/5 Stars

    by JoannXD

You can't compare a movie rendition to a book for several different reasons, but I'm about to. As this is classified under Romantic / Comedy / Horror, I was hoping for a good balance of all three. I didn't expect to get my pants scared off since it was PG-13 (the zombie-esque more than makes up for it), and the romance was certainly there, but the final component - humor - was lacking. In the book, where it's much harder to convey comedy, there was surprisingly more of it. It's a prevalent, defining quality in one of the characters in the novel and I admit I was really looking forward to it. On the upside, there were a number of scenes that the movie decidedly changed - and for the better, in my opinion. It was still a good movie, one most audiences will certainly enjoy.

    Adorable

    by

This movie keeps you rooting for what once was the stereotypical bad guy, the zombie. It's a cute movie that doesn't focus on the science, one that you can just enjoy the characterization and the interactions between different characters; this is a movie where you can appreciate friendship and the different types of love. I'm so glad I went to see this movie in theaters. :)

This is one of the best movies I have seen recently next to Django Unchained. Warm Bodies was an excellent movie. I am recommending it to all my friends. A very moving and emotional and well written movie. Very well done! AA++

    A zombies point of view!

    by

The zombie culture is so misunderstood. I mean wh knows what they are thinking? huh?
This movie gives a GREAT heart felt and brain eating account of one undeads journey
toward love and the pursuit of brains! Awesome movie!

    Long version of the trailer...

    by

If you like the trailer you will like the movie. The movie is just basically a longer version of the trailer. There aren't a lot of surprises left which is sad, but we still enjoyed the movie. It is sweet, romantic, funny and at times a little scary. Not everyone will like this movie, but if this is your type of movie you should definitely go see it.

Warm Bodies = Good laugh and fun

To start as a baseline - my wife HATES zombie movies. However, since it was my birthday and I told her this was a zombie love story, she decided to go... The movie was good. She actually liked the movie and even had a hard time telling me I was right at picking this movie. There are a lot of funny parts in the movie. It kept our attention throughout. Others in the theater were actually talking about how it was better than they thought as we walked out.

Short story = incredible. Movie version = awesome

This movie is based on a short story called "I Am a Zombie Filled With Love," which is one of my favorites. The story has a humor and tenderness that the movie stays true to. It's a funny movie. It's romantic. It's sweet. And it's gross. It's the zombie movie I've seen in a long time.

    Good Movie!

I took my 12 13 year old grandkids and we loved it. Nicholas Hoult makes this movie. I have seen him in "About a Boy" The BBc show "Skins", And of course the last "XMEN". He is just great in this movie. I will be buying this movie when it comes out.

Perfect Date Movie for Those of You Who Are NOT in to Nicholas Sparks!

I knew this was a movie adapted from a YA book and was being distributed by the company that distributed the Twilight series, so my expectations were quite low.

But, to my surprise, it was a fun and funny movie with a lot of action and a couple of jump in your seat moments that will satisfy your guy.

So, if you like the Walking Dead and Shaun of the Dead, but have a romantic streak than this is the movie for you and your love.

    Warm, but not alive

    by pedsarq

This movie caught me off guard. It wants us to buy into the possibility that all those flesh-eating zombies we've seen in other movies may have been reachable with a little love and affection. For example, bringing them back to life may be as easy as picking one to play catch with. Or, if one has problems opening an umbrella when it's raining (what?!), help them out and they may come back to life and lose interest in chasing you and eating you. First and foremost, this is a movie about young love between the daughter of the human resistance and a young zombie. She sees him during a battle and can't bring herself to shoot him in the head. He then saves her by covering her with his blood so that the other ravenous zombies won't eat her. They fall in love. It's cute and gets progressively better throughout the movie. This movie is best for really young audiences who are very forgiving of weak plots and are easily impressed by good-looking young actors who fall in love.

I highly recommend this movie. It has the best off all worlds. Funny, romantic, action and of course, Zombies! The characters are well played and it truly was a joy to watch, I may even go to see it again.

    Love it!

    by

I was drawn to this as a lover of the zombie genre, and was very pleasantly surprised with something fresh and new. It's not just about blood and guts and shooting dead people in the head with a twelve gauge - though there's an ample amount of all three.

Nick Hoult rocks his role as a zombie like a second skin. R cracks me up, he's a zombie with a soul, and is terribly conflicted because of it. But don't get it wrong, he'll still kill you and eat you, if only just to feel more alive - until Julie comes along.

Julie is a breath of life in his grayscape. She's a ray of sunshine, but not irritably so, and her acting is also very believable. She's the first female protagonist I've cared about in a long time. She brings out R's human side, but not too quickly, and in a way that still treads carefully around and pays respect to his zombie nature.

See it, and definitely read the book. If you're a supernatural horror lover with an open mind, you won't be disappointed.
