    Such a good movie!

Okay, so, here it is... Valentine's day. And how do you please both parties? Zombie Romance! This movie was very surprising, not too long, and chocked full of romance and zombie infested violence. I highly recommend this to anyone with a pulse... and maybe to some without :)

Wild Take On A Wild Topic...But It Works!!

This is the first positive take on the zombie apocalypse that i've seen, minus Zombieland. But if you're going for thrills and action, don't see this one. This is more for a date night. But, regardless, great movie. Just know what you're getting yourself into.

    Cute

    by

It was a cute teenage romantic comedy.
Not a great story line, but the characters in the movie pulled it through without much of a mess!

    Surprisingly Funny

It has a better story line than I thought it would and was funnier than I thought it would be. I don't think it's the best movie ever, but I don't regret going to see it.

    Another movie better than Twilight

    by

I heard a lot of people saying that it was just another Twilight... Not in the least! Waaaay better, and waaaay funnier! Having R narrate the movie was just great and I think that's what made it.

The only thing I wish was that they changed up the trailer more. I sort of felt I knew what was going on from the trailer, but with an hour and half movie you didn't have a lot of choices!

Go see this movie! It's great! You'll laugh the whole time!

    Go only if you "must"

Go only if you "must." That is, you are like me and you see pretty much everything (unless you know or sense beforehand that it's going to be really, really bad). I've seen everything and there was nothing left to see. There are so may other movies out there that are much, much better. But this wasn't so bad (or so good). There were some fun moments but it was agonizing slow paced and long. However I enjoyed the fun inversion of your typical walking dead kind of movie, which made it somewhat amusing (admittedly minimally so). Lots of pretty young people and Rob Corddry was a stand out. I love that guy!

Warm Bodies... is a Cool Movie

    by csamson

Like the Romeo and Juliet referrence of the story... 2 from opposite sides of town fall in love. The story is an original and is funny and cute though with suspenseful parts too. Enjoyed this movie!

    Romeo nd Julet in Zombie-time

    by

I read the book before I saw the movie last Sunday.. It wasn't an exact replica, but what is. The movie was very cool and cute in a way. It was Zombie boy meets human girl, likes human girl, keeps human girl, and human girl likes zombie boy somewhat, and changes him, and so changes everything. Some really funny moments. I really liked it!

    Zombance

    by

This movie was really a huge hit. The whole theater was laughing and really getting into the film. I was surprised that this movie was as good as it was because I thought it was going to be a snoozer but Nicholas Hoult has really gotten this character down. To see this kid go from the movie "About a Boy" then to a tv show like "Skins" to this film is so bizzarre but amazingly refreshing. I definitely give this zombie/romance which I've come to describe as a "Zombance" two thumbs up. This film is good for a friend to join, the girlfriend, mom, whoever ! Bring everyone and anyone.

Great movie that knocks all genres out of the park

    by

At first I was skeptical on how they were going to pull off a zombie love movie, but it turns out very well. The first 20 min is a bit of a bore, but after that you will find a movie that is romantic, scary, funny, and dramatic all in an hour and a half. I am jealous I didn't think of this plot before it is a great idea and I hope it pays off for them in the box office.

    Wasn't what I expected

    by

I went into this thinking it would be a little more dark and a little heavier on the killing of zombies. I was pleasantly surprised however. The movie is more about feelings and what makes us human. My wife and I both liked it. It turned out to be a good date night movie.

    Zombies with Heart

For book purists, this cinematic version is super close. Things that either were changed/omitted won't be missed by the moviegoer, though I wonder (since I just read the book prior to seeing the movie) if some of the message in the story might be lost.

The grey scenes, with the pop of color from R's red sweatshirt, appear to be a metaphor for his reappearing humanity. There's definitely a Montague/Capulet vibe here, too.

The eating scenes are not super gory (esp compared to The Walking Dead!) but you will hear chomping noises, see smears of blood. The close ups of the Boneys (skeletal zombies) are scarier than the "plumper" zombies by far.

There's a lot of humor, a couple of bad words (though they did make the scenes funnier, if you don't mind that sort of thing), lots of shooting, chasing, biting, dying. In other words, A ZOMBIE MOVIE.

I very much enjoyed the film, as did my 13-1/2-year-old daughter & my [AGE DELETED] husband. It was a very fun re-imagining of the genre.

    Amazing, magical.

    by

Best movie I've seen since ROTG. Filled with action and thrill, and plenty of comedy and romance, making it a wonderful movie for all audiences. And while we're being honest, c'mon, R is globbing hot.

    Loved this movie!

    by sylmjk

I took my (reluctant) 73 year old mother with me to see this film and get her out of the house. She was laughing along with everyone else, and of course it was a light attendance-since it was the matinee at our local mall. I knew Nicholas Hoult from About a Boy, of course, but have also seen him in A Single Man and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. The action movies he is credited with, I have not seen.

I have been impressed with him, and let me say-this young British actor is an up and comer. Already, everything he touches turns to gold. He was delightful, sympathetic and funny in this touching zombie movie that is anything but traditional. There is a genuine story line, superb acting by all, but again he is one to watch.

I recommend it most highly and if I can convince my middle aged boyfriend to see it I will be happy to go again!
