    dark comedy and action

    by tom1215

Much like the novel, the movie is a great combination of dark comedy and action; it is different from others in this genre because iit offers a different view of the ultimate end of the infected. Horror fans will also find plenty to like. Leading chraracters do a great job and Analeigh Tipton gives a good performance in a supporting role. Teens and adults will enjoy the movie. . I will definitely own the CD for the private collection, but don't miss it while it is on the big screen..

    Surprisingly Funny

Really liked this movie...the inner monologue of R is hilarious....but you have to enjoy awkward slapstick to like this movie, which i do :)

Short story = incredible. Movie version = awesome

This movie is based on a short story called "I Am a Zombie Filled With Love," which is one of my favorites. The story has a humor and tenderness that the movie stays true to. It's a funny movie. It's romantic. It's sweet. And it's gross. It's the zombie movie I've seen in a long time.

Different twist on the zombie theme

    by Eric714

If you love the zombie genre, you're going to see it. Moderately predictable. But enjoyable, nonetheless.

If you've seen the previews, you pretty much have the gist of the movie. There're a couple of surprises. But, it's the same old girl meets zombie, zombie eats boyfriends brains, girl falls in love with zombie, Dad doesn't approve and tries to kill the boyfriend... you get the picture.

They could have added a little more depth to the movie. It was only 1:38. I would have enjoyed an extended version - maybe on the Blu-Ray.

It's worth seeing. Check it out!

    Gotta love zombies

Nice flick. This was a very different take on the classical post-apocalyptic zombie film. Who would've know the power of love was so strong it could bring the un-dead back to life? I give it a 8 out of 10.

    4/5 Stars

    by JoannXD

You can't compare a movie rendition to a book for several different reasons, but I'm about to. As this is classified under Romantic / Comedy / Horror, I was hoping for a good balance of all three. I didn't expect to get my pants scared off since it was PG-13 (the zombie-esque more than makes up for it), and the romance was certainly there, but the final component - humor - was lacking. In the book, where it's much harder to convey comedy, there was surprisingly more of it. It's a prevalent, defining quality in one of the characters in the novel and I admit I was really looking forward to it. On the upside, there were a number of scenes that the movie decidedly changed - and for the better, in my opinion. It was still a good movie, one most audiences will certainly enjoy.

    GO!

    by merster

It is a fantastic movie the way they showed the transitions of the zombies and the love story. Its played out very well making you feel for the characters along with the comedy is mixed in well to either to lighten the mood or just for a laugh!

As a 21yr Male, Really Excellent Movie

This movie hits all the right buttons, and in a way that doesn't go over the top. Rarely will you find yourself saying, "Oh, please" while watching Warm Bodies. It's funny, it's sweet, and there are moments of tension peppered throughout, and it achieves all of this mostly through context and gesture.

I mean, he's a freakin' zombie; it's not like he can talk coherently enough for you to be subjected to a soliloquy of his undying love. All the romance comes out of the tension and the comedy, it's shown through gestures rather than proclaimed. This keeps it very believable, and never dragged out.

Something about this movie struck a chord for me. This movie is going to be bigger than a V-Day flick.

I love orignal stories! Zombie films rock!!

OK...so this isn't "my boyfriends back" part 2, this is a totally new take on humanity and life in the zombie world. I know the subject seems fictional and ridiculous to some but if your looking for something other than a comedy or romantic comedy youre looking in the wrong place. This film is sweet. The characters nail the whole gore and blood of previous zombie films but also gives the viewer something to think about. Not only about the characters, but humanity and what it is to be human itself. The ideas are fresh and new in this film. The actors are a great addition to the pool (kinda tired of the same old same old). Its a great film for couples. You have my thumbs up for Warm bodies.

    Classic Retelling

Warm bodies is a chick flick that guys won't hate watching. It is a remake of a classic love story, if you can't figure it out look at the IMDB trivia, so it works really. Male protagonist does really strong job. Plenty of good laughs without over drowning the love story. Definitely worth spending the money for a movie but might not be priority movie of the week. I avidly enjoyed it but am partial to zombie movies, just hope this doesn't have the affect that Twilight movie had on making vampires sissified

Really fun rom com zombie flick!

    by

I really loved this movie. The main charrie has great internal dialogue, narrative going on for the whole film. We hear his inner thoughts. That makes it very interesting as typically zombies don't think. I loved this movie and it is absolutely the right length. Not too long. Very entertaining and romantic. A fun film with comedic overtones. Must see it for sure!

How to be a little less zombie

I enjoyed this movie. OK, it wasn't the greatest screenwriting ever, there are a couple of places you go, uh...yeah, but entertaining and quite a few good laughs. Good for teens and up, not so much for younger. I saw it with my wife and we both enjoyed it.

    Very entertaining

This movie was very enjoyable and even heart-warming at times. Zombie movies are very popular these days, but it isn't fair to call this another zombie film. The new twist on the genre appealed to both my husband and I. The story line is clever and hearing the main character's inner dialogue is down right hilarious at times. The first scene of the film will start you off smiling and keep you going nearly the whole way through. This is definitely a romance driven plot but while the schmaltz is poured on at times it never takes itself too seriously. With that being said, most guys can also appreciate that a few moments will make you jump and remind you that while this may be a romantic comedy it's still based around zombies. I thought Nicholas Hoult was fantastic and that this is definitely one to go see in the theater!

    Strange

    by

This movie was somewhat strange but it at least kept me watching it. I did notice some Romeo & Juliet themes in the movie. The movie didn't give an explanation of how the people became zombies nor how they began to be human again. Just images of connecting physically with others. I guess this was the drive that caused their hearts to beat again. There really wasn't any romance either...

    Far exceeds expectations

    by

Surprisingly clever and super funny movie. Hoult is spectacular as the zombie hero. Palmer is terrific and Corrdry holds his own. Malkovich is the only weak link but his part is so minor that his lackluster performance just doesn't matter overall.

As for the critics who blasted the move for plot holes: Yeah, it's not entirely logical, but then again, it's a ZOMBIE MOVIE. Some advice: Relax, try to develop a sense of humor, and up your ocd meds.

Bottom line: If you are want to see a witty, creative, and very funny comedy with a cute if dubious love story, then you'll have a great time. Highly recommended.
