Great movie that knocks all genres out of the park

    by

At first I was skeptical on how they were going to pull off a zombie love movie, but it turns out very well. The first 20 min is a bit of a bore, but after that you will find a movie that is romantic, scary, funny, and dramatic all in an hour and a half. I am jealous I didn't think of this plot before it is a great idea and I hope it pays off for them in the box office.

    New Idea

    by noperic

The best thing about this movie is that this particular zombie story hasn't been done a million times. Don't get me wrong, I love zombie movies, but this is probably the only one I've seen that actually not only has the interesting inside view of the zombie but comes up with a solution for the zombie problem. This truly is a love conquers all type movie.

    Very Cute!

Took my 10 year old daughter, who LOVES zombie movies and zombies, and her friend and it was perfect! I nodded off a few times in the middle but all in all it was cute. I could have waited for it to come out on DVD but she really wanted to see it. Got some good chuckles, no cursing or nudity, maybe ONE sexual inuendo, if you even wanna call it that. Good date movie. My rating was in between "so-so" and "go"...really I toggled between the two until deciding on "go". Trying to give this movie the benefit of the doubt. Although cute, I wouldn't be surprised to find this movie in the $5 Walmart movie bin.

    Warm Bodies

    by recgrl

Even with flesh eating zombies this movie was funny. There were chase scenes, by foot mind you. Kind of like the Twilight series with more of a comedic factor to it. I would totally recommend it.

    Awesome

    by Clrhot5

Really funny. Cute. Sweet. If you read the book; it's slightly different and it definitely changes things around but I thought it did the book justice. It was a great movie. I would recommend seeing it! Perfect date movie! :)

Wonderful Twist on an Overdone Theme

Don't get me wrong on the overdone! We loved Zombieland, we are Walking "Dead Heads" and we might just run a local race where zombies chase you (now that there is motivation!). So Warm Bodies was right up our dark, dysfunctional alley.
We loved it!! Beginning was a little slow (his life at the airport) and sometimes on the plane (when he was hiding her) seemed to drag, but once the zombies attacked at the pharmacy it didn't disappoint. The eating of the brains to capture memories was unique and his airport zombie friend was hysterical!
It was a predictable ending, but a nice change.

Romeo and Juliet - WITH ZOMBIES!

    by

I always tease my husband that he's lucky to have me. I never choose rom-coms whether it's movie night in or out to the theatre. I am an action/horror/thriller/blowing-crap-up-but-please-have-a-plot-too kinda movie gal. When I decided to take him to the movies for Valentine's I told him that this was it, I was finally taking him to a romantic movie, but not to worry; there are Zombies in it.

Warm Bodies did not disappoint. Eschewing the over-the-top ridiculousness and cheap sex/toilet humor of the Carrey/Sandler/Ferrell variety, it was a sometimes hilarious, mostly chuckle-worthy film that carried the right balance for dealing with serious subject matter.

Strong performances and unexpected laughs, important questions raised and terrific resolution made this a must see. Some gore but not like you expect from a Z-flick. If you're looking for 28 Days Later-er you'll be disappointed. If you want a rom-com that avoids the syrupy cliches this is for you!

Different take on the zombie culture

I enjoyed this movie because it was a different view of the zombie culture. I hate everything zombie because it disinterests me, but this movie was great because it wasn't typical. It was funny, heart felt, and even suspenseful at moments. It's a good adult movie.

    An interesting movie

This is a light movie for you to kill time. It's fun and you'll laugh several times. If you do not care too much for the logic or the reasonableness of the story, you'll like this one. It's just a romantic story.

    Stupidly adorable!!

    by

This film is super cute and adorable. I know this because despite the countless holes in the plot and endless implausibilities (yes in a zombie movie) I still cared and was still charmed. If you can suspend your critical mind for an hour or so, you'll laugh and feel feelings and enjoy this silly movie.

As a 21yr Male, Really Excellent Movie

This movie hits all the right buttons, and in a way that doesn't go over the top. Rarely will you find yourself saying, "Oh, please" while watching Warm Bodies. It's funny, it's sweet, and there are moments of tension peppered throughout, and it achieves all of this mostly through context and gesture.

I mean, he's a freakin' zombie; it's not like he can talk coherently enough for you to be subjected to a soliloquy of his undying love. All the romance comes out of the tension and the comedy, it's shown through gestures rather than proclaimed. This keeps it very believable, and never dragged out.

Something about this movie struck a chord for me. This movie is going to be bigger than a V-Day flick.

    Not what I expected....

    by

I'm not really sure what to say about this movie, I really liked it. I didn't go in expecting much so as not to be disappointed and I'm glad to say I wasn't. Was it worth 11 bucks? I think so, but if you have any doubts just wait for it to come out on video, it's worth seeing at least once.

    Go only if you "must"

Go only if you "must." That is, you are like me and you see pretty much everything (unless you know or sense beforehand that it's going to be really, really bad). I've seen everything and there was nothing left to see. There are so may other movies out there that are much, much better. But this wasn't so bad (or so good). There were some fun moments but it was agonizing slow paced and long. However I enjoyed the fun inversion of your typical walking dead kind of movie, which made it somewhat amusing (admittedly minimally so). Lots of pretty young people and Rob Corddry was a stand out. I love that guy!

    Pretty Good

The movie was good. If you are looking for a scary movie this is not it. It was a comedy/ romance for sure. Not bad for a family movie (depending on the children ages).

Not Going to Be For Everyone

    by

But personally, I thought it was a really great, creative film. When we keep seeing the same romantic comedy made a thousand times over, it's nice to see something new on the horizon. I'm a huge fan of zombie movies, and this movie managed to set up the atmosphere in a very tongue-in-cheek manner that kept it from being too unbelievable, or too sappy. It was a great display of the talent of the writers and actors involved. I loved seeing Rob Corddry in something other than his typical role.

In summary, this movie was better then I expected it to be due to a perfect balance of humor and empathy.
