    Very entertaining

This movie was very enjoyable and even heart-warming at times. Zombie movies are very popular these days, but it isn't fair to call this another zombie film. The new twist on the genre appealed to both my husband and I. The story line is clever and hearing the main character's inner dialogue is down right hilarious at times. The first scene of the film will start you off smiling and keep you going nearly the whole way through. This is definitely a romance driven plot but while the schmaltz is poured on at times it never takes itself too seriously. With that being said, most guys can also appreciate that a few moments will make you jump and remind you that while this may be a romantic comedy it's still based around zombies. I thought Nicholas Hoult was fantastic and that this is definitely one to go see in the theater!

Different take on the zombie culture

I enjoyed this movie because it was a different view of the zombie culture. I hate everything zombie because it disinterests me, but this movie was great because it wasn't typical. It was funny, heart felt, and even suspenseful at moments. It's a good adult movie.

    Awesome!

I saw this movie at a pre-screening 2 weeks ago, and we went to see it again last night. There is never a dull moment...just the right amount of laughs, comic "awkwardness" and heartfelt scenes. The acting was good...some of the lines had the theater bursting with laughter.

    Definitely worth seeing!!

    A Go for Undead fans

    by

I recommend this flick to anyone with an undying love for the Undead. Humorously grotesque and romantically quircky, it'll make you feel compassion for the Dead unlike any other. While some may compare the main lead to that of the Twilight Saga, I have to disagree as the original concept was far from "Oh I'm a self-pittying dead person, but I'm gonna love you anyway". Incredibly witty. Definitely a go!

P.S. The book was just as good!

    Strange

    by

This movie was somewhat strange but it at least kept me watching it. I did notice some Romeo & Juliet themes in the movie. The movie didn't give an explanation of how the people became zombies nor how they began to be human again. Just images of connecting physically with others. I guess this was the drive that caused their hearts to beat again. There really wasn't any romance either...

    Funny date night movie

The movie premise was different and funny to begin with which made me want to go see it. It was funny, not quite as funny as I thought it would be but, I definitely enjoyed it. The inner monologue from Nicholas Hoult is the best part and of course the one liners by Rob Corddry who is always hilarious. Definitely worth seeing!

    An interesting movie

This is a light movie for you to kill time. It's fun and you'll laugh several times. If you do not care too much for the logic or the reasonableness of the story, you'll like this one. It's just a romantic story.

    Amazing!!

This movie was awesome! I read the book and some things are dead on while others only a little off course. I highly recommend it, it was funny, exciting and cute. Some parts were a little slow, but the other parts made up for it. I'm definitely going again soon!

    New Idea

    by noperic

The best thing about this movie is that this particular zombie story hasn't been done a million times. Don't get me wrong, I love zombie movies, but this is probably the only one I've seen that actually not only has the interesting inside view of the zombie but comes up with a solution for the zombie problem. This truly is a love conquers all type movie.

I was surprised, though it was a chick flick it was not a typical one. The story I thought was well put together. I love zombies!!!!!

Fresher and Smarter and More Fun Than You'd Expect

    by

I went to this for a friend's birthday, expecting it to be silly and ridiculous -- and while, there are parts of it that you just have to accept, it was much better written and executed than I expected.

The actors are great -- both the leads are charming and throw themselves into their parts in their own way (and, important for a romance, very cute), and the film as a whole manages to have a lot of fun while managing to take both the world it greats and the overall execution seriously enough to make you care...which is actually quite an accomplishment given that it's a zombie-meets-girl love story.

Afterward, I discovered that the movie is based on a book and wasn't surprised, given that this is possibly the most interesting take on the zombie apocalypse genre I've yet seen. (I hope that I don't give too much away by saying that the theme of "change" is a wonderfully different one -- YMMV, given that it aligns better with my politics than the tenor of conventional zombie movies.)
