    Silver Linings

Wow! Great acting, story and talent... It was heart touching to me so much that I cried on the way home and even dreamed about how special love can be.
Not for kids; the "f" word was used a lot.

    Good but not Oscar good

Good little flck to watch but not close to one that should be Oscar worthy.
Bradley Cooper was actually very good and his acting much stronger than Jennifer Lawrence.
Worth as a Sunay afternoon flick.

I'd have been happy to see it on DVD

    by mflury

Good acting...I'm sure it's hard to act crazy! LOL! Not really what I thought it was going to be, and it was OK, funny, sentimental, and quirky. I'd say wait for the DVD.

    Just not Believable

Sure everyone in Philly cusses a blue streak 24/7 but a psycho turns on a dime and lives happily ever after. The betting was ridiculous, what was he betting with on the last bet? I thought he lost everything the previous bet. Great actors all around but the story line wasn't there.

    Silver Linings Playbook

Saw this movie the same day as The Sessions which was a hard to beat film and this film surprisingly held its own. It was great to see a film with bipolar disorder featured have a happy ending.

    It was excellent!

At the beginning of the movie I thought I wouldn't like it. I thought "This is some other variant of 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' he just got out." But I was pleasantly surprised. Robert De Niro was especially amazing, IMO. There was an aspect of it that made it seem unrealistic. I don't want to give any of the plot away but I do recommend you see it. If you've already seen Lincoln, Zero Dark Thirty, Argo, and Les Mis then definitely go see it.

    Wonderful!

This was probably the most inspiring movie I've seen all year. Loved all of the characters, loved the story. You will feel great when you walk out of the theater.

    Very well made movie

This was a well done movie, the acting was superb and the director did a great job, especially in the beginning of showing the frenetic pace and chaos that the character and family was dealing with. Jennifer Lawrence was much more impressive than I expected, and Bradley Cooper was excellent.

A movie for the whole family with older children!

    by krajci3

This was a really enjoyable movie. My husband and I went with our 22 year old. It was very enjoyable. Bradley Cooper and Jennfier Lawrence were enthrawling and who doesn't like a movie with Robert DeNiro?

I don't want to waist time explaining why I liked it...just go see it!

I Want To See It Again

I almost gave this just a 'GO' at first, as I felt that it got off to kind of a slow start but I had to upgrade it because it finished strong and this film has stuck with me. It turned out to be a terrific story with incredible acting. It's an all around wonderful movie with great directing and cinematography as well. It really spoke to me. This film isn't for kids but I highly recommend it for everyone else, especially if you or somebody you know has bipolar disorder. I love the way it humanizes the struggle but still has fun with it.

    Loved it! Great cast!

I went to see this last night in NY not really knowing what to expect. I read a few things previously, then saw Bradley Cooper doing a tv promo and decided to definitely check it out. I loved it and thought it was funny and quirky and heartfelt and different. It made me feel like I was seeing something more unique than the usual movie fare, and I go to the movies often. The cast was great - I kind of fell in love with Bradley Cooper (he was really good in this role) and it was nice to see Jennifer Lawrence in something completely different after seeing her in "Hunger Games." Robert DeNiro was also very good, I liked seeing a more vulnerable side of him in the "dad" role. I really wish Chris Tucker was used more, he is funny and his role was too limited to me. The entire supporting cast shined in the group scenes especially. I actually may go see this again next week. It really stayed with me for some reason, I think because it showed flawed people in all their beautiful glory.

    Oscar worthy? I'd say so!

This movie is definitely on my top 3 movies of 2012!. The chemistry between Bradley cooper and Jennifer lawrence is incredible and the acting is also oscar worthy. Their characters in this movie are so crazy and odd that it's interesting to see what they'll do next. The whole cast is great and all but what really kelt me interested was that the story was a love story but at the same time it was a realizing who you are type of story and that sounds cloche but the way this movie does it it so funny and different. i loved silver linings playbook i'd give it a 9/10!

RUN TO SEE THIS 5 STAR FILM ABOUT LOSS, LIFE AND REDEMPTION.

It is a rarity, but it is nothing short of stupendous when a film exponentially gets better and better; David O. Russell's ("The Fighter") rocks the charts with this winner. Anticipation eliminated: "Silver Lining Playbook" garnishes five sterling STARS!!!!! I loved it...

"Silver Lining Playbook" is profound in addressing life's cruel interruptions: loss of the known, love, and self; wounds heal but scars remain sacred, reminders of what's past but not determining, forecasting the future. Resonating with redemption, every character evolves, wordless introspectiveness morphs into rejuvenated, revived genuinely likeable even loveable individuals; striving, struggling within their natural sphere, all achieving their "personal best"...

    FIVE STARS!!!!!
