    Wild Ride

It's a fun movie. If you like Kung Fu it's spot on. The story needs something fleshed out but it stays true to 79s-80s movies in quality. See it!

    Go See This Film!

    by diari23

If you like an action packed, head choppin' (off), blood oozin', action packed kung fu movie, then go see this film! The storyline and acting is a bit weak, but the action makes up for it!

    Couldn't' even laugh at it.

I only wish it were a little worse so it could at least have been funny. This was a horrible feature length RZA music video, with a half decent production budget that was then made to look like it didn't. Normally that's a Tarantino's wheelhouse, but this just falls far short.
The writing was one stilted cliche after another, but not done with any tongue-in-cheek. RZA is one terrible excuse for an actor to top it off.

Stay away unless you're in the mood for an offensive rap video take on a 70's kung-fu movie.

    bad to worse

    by QDP

cheap imitation of the already really bad 1970's kungfu moovs genre, just worse.
No redeeming qualities, perfectly bad throughout.
Bad direction, acting, script, editing, continuity, REASONING, you name it, - and it can't get worse. Why they make this kind of stuff is befuddling. Some may think its funny, but creatively they just don't realize who the real dweebs are.
Supremacy of this flick is its stupidity- simply said: awful ! You'll miss nothing by not seeing it.

    Not up to expectation

    by

Lines were serious when they were supposed to be cheesy, and cheesy when they were supposed to be serious. Too much dialogue. Not enough fighting, just a lot of gore with minimal martial arts abilities. Too many weapons too. Would recommend to 12 year old boys.

Serious let down. Went to the midnight screening and all, had to fight to stay awake...expected a lot more from the RZA.

A Mixed Up Mess Not Even Suitable For Asian Subtitles.

This is, by far, among the worst movies commercially released to the domestic market this year, and I've seen hundreds. Do not be fooled by the talent billing. A good bet would be if it were even a remote possibility, they'd one or all buy this movie and destroy it, rather than have anyone see such a bad example of their work. This dismal waste of millions of dollars masquerading as a commercial entertainment product can only be blamed on its producers, since there are no other notable personal contributions elsewhere, including set decoration. Save your money. This one's so awful, it makes last year?s ?Conan? re-release look Oscar worthy.

    Man With the Iron Fists

Good story line, held true to the old school. Story was not about the man with the iron fists, but the Pink Brothel. Fight scenes were decent for what they were; were not long enough. I think that the movie could have been longer to develop it a bit more. All in all it was a decent movie. If you are a true fan of the old school, it is good viewing.

    Worth the watch

If you have listed to any of the Wu-Tang clan's albums, you understand why the Rza wrote and directed the movie the way he did. The movie is worth the watch. Took my lady friend with me and she enjoyed it. I bought her the dvd so she is going to be excited when she get it.

    Loved it!

    by

I really enjoyed myself while watching this movie. I felt like I was experiencing the movie instead of just looking at a screen. It kept you guessing the whole time and I would see it again.

    wasnt what i expected

it was okay. the script was elementary. to much sex and blood. really did not capture all the essence of the old kung fu movies. kind of added twist of comic book style. to many scenes that really did not capture the martial art movements you could not really see the moves. i would wait for the dvd. i started yawning half way into the movie and some people left out of the theater. It was an okay movie could have been better. I give mad props to Rza though. Practice makes perfect.

    Sigh

Rza should stay behind the scenes. He's acting didn't even seem like an act. More like glorify me cause i made this movie, so i'm going to be in it straight face and all.

    Rza was emotionless.

He was the man character but i didn't get that.

I fell asleep at the beginning.

I give Rza a A+ for making this movie happen.

I just think the storyline wasn't strong enough.

Rza always look like he was pouting.

Rza was Nothing dramatical about any losts.

It was kind of like he was too cool to act in front of the camera or too gangsta to be acting.

Movie would've been a hell of a lot better with someone besides Rza acting.

So when you see Rza you just think about him as a music producer and rapper not as an actor.

The hip hop music was cool but it didn't fit the movie.

    They were in Asia somewhere.

    Movie should've aired on MTV.

He would've had better success with it.

I bought tickets to support Rza and his attempt to do something big.

    not great

I'm a Rza/Wu fan, loved the music and references in this movie. The fight scenes are good, but not great aside from one.
It's ultra-cheesy, which I knew going in, but the acting from Rza is horrible. I love the guy for all the rest he does, but he can't act. His lines are poorly delivered.
It's entertaining, but wouldn't see it again. I would probably recommend this as a movie rental.

    Man with the iron fists

Too many characters, the romance wasn't devolped enough. Movie just looked like they tried to be too many things to too many people. Action sequences were decent, and over the top just like I expected them to be....

In homage to the old kung fu flicks

    by millwil

For the Rza's first movie, this was a pretty good film. It is definitely in traditional Tarantino over the top style but overall the movie has a good storyline.

It's a fun movie for those that aren't HK cinema purists.
