Only old school kung fu fans

    by Pa3cya

If you grew up watching sunday morning kung fu flix on tv (maybe only NYC kids had this option) then you have to see this movie. The only thing i can grip about it is it felt like RZA was showcasing his music. There was a scene that it really didn't fit to have a rappper going on and on.

    Retro Tribute

If your a fan of the old kung fu style movies with the cheesy dialect, bad acting and lots of fighting and action then this is the movie for you.
I LOVE the old style movie and thought this movie did a very good job of paying tribute to the old classic's. The acting was not great, but it was not meant to & there were definitely lots of cheesy lines.
Also there were LOTS OF F'ing HOT ASIAN GIRLS, which made it VERY enjoyable.

I think overall RZA did very good job directing his movie.
I would recommend going to see this movie

    Waste of time and money!!!!

This movie was terrible! Not even worth watching on DVD. The story line was not good and the whole movie was corny. I couldn't help but laugh at all the moments that were supposed to be serious. The soundtrack was the worst I've heard for a movie by far!! I was very bored and disappointed by the first 10 minutes. Fail!

    Pass

Its like somebody read a bad Chinese comic-book about a Kung Fu fight and then made a bad english speaking movie about the bad Chinese comic book. The Kung Fu fights were poorly choreographed with all the actors spending way too much time attached to ropes while they spun in every direction, it looks good on occasion but it was overdone in this movie. Russell Crowe had a few good lines in the movie but his character was unremarkable and any actor could have played the part. For some reason streams of extremely phony looking blood shooting out of every person that dies in the movie is somehow something the viewer must see over and over again.

It was just another bad fall movie in a fall filled with bad movies.

Great Action Packed Movie ... !

The movie was great, RZA & Lucy Lu were awesome! However, it would have been nice if Lucy Lu's "real character" was revealed a lil' earlier in the movie. Yet I still enjoyed the movie. A must see !

    Couldn't' even laugh at it.

I only wish it were a little worse so it could at least have been funny. This was a horrible feature length RZA music video, with a half decent production budget that was then made to look like it didn't. Normally that's a Tarantino's wheelhouse, but this just falls far short.
The writing was one stilted cliche after another, but not done with any tongue-in-cheek. RZA is one terrible excuse for an actor to top it off.

Stay away unless you're in the mood for an offensive rap video take on a 70's kung-fu movie.

    bad to worse

    by QDP

cheap imitation of the already really bad 1970's kungfu moovs genre, just worse.
No redeeming qualities, perfectly bad throughout.
Bad direction, acting, script, editing, continuity, REASONING, you name it, - and it can't get worse. Why they make this kind of stuff is befuddling. Some may think its funny, but creatively they just don't realize who the real dweebs are.
Supremacy of this flick is its stupidity- simply said: awful ! You'll miss nothing by not seeing it.

    more for TV watching

Although the movie was kind of interesting it is more like a 70's movie that should be shown on tv. I felt like I was watching a remake. I would not waste money to see it. I will not be purchasing it when it comes out on dvd once was enough

    The Man with Iron Fist

I enjoy all martial art moveies however, the music on this sucked! What the heck is with the rap music.....hate it! Then when they had a romantic part, they played the blues....dumb! The musics gotta go! Loved the actions and Lucy Liu's dresses. Directors, please stop using those rap musics because most of the time they don't even go with the movie it is in!

The Man With the Iron Fists

Me and my wife went to see this action filled move with a great since of humor. The story line was excellent, it made me feel like channel 5 back in the days. If you love martial arts movies, this is a must see.

    It Was O.K.

It was'nt one of Tarantino's better movies, in my opinion. An O.K. story with lots of martial arts fighting and a certain look (China 1800's ) that made it worth while. Russel Crowe and Lucy Liu were good and Byron Mann( I've never heard of him before) was good too. I give it a Go.

I don't know what people are complaining about it, this movie was awesome. If you know kung fu movies this fit the bill. This fighting was awesome.

    Not up to expectation

    by

Lines were serious when they were supposed to be cheesy, and cheesy when they were supposed to be serious. Too much dialogue. Not enough fighting, just a lot of gore with minimal martial arts abilities. Too many weapons too. Would recommend to 12 year old boys.

Serious let down. Went to the midnight screening and all, had to fight to stay awake...expected a lot more from the RZA.

    Amateurish, Tarantino-Wannabe

Ugh. Ok, the opening credits were pretty cool and the accompanying tune by RZA was AWESOME, took me back to my days listening to Wu-Tang. But everything after that was downhill... I respect RZA and Eli Roth independently of this mishmash of crap, but I ended up walking out of this movie after the first hour. I couldn't bear to watch anymore. The direction was weak and obvious, the production quality was pretty low to awful. The acting was ok, but not great. The action sequences were more McG: Charlie's Angels than Crouching Tiger, not cool and not well choreographed. If you're in your early teens and haven't seen a lot of decent action / pulp fiction cinema then go right ahead. If you have managed to get through puberty then you might want to save yourself the torture of watching this should've-been-straight-to-DVD pile of crap. Lame!!

    So-So

    by JCLBCA

Some WTF moments, some great fight scenes. It was an "okay" movie. If you have time to waste, you could do worse than watching this movie.
