Lawless An Old Story

A true story, but it's been told a 1000 times in different films. Well produced but nothing excitingly knew! Alot of shoot them up Bang Bang during the Prohibition years.

MUST GO see Lawless

Lawless is a great movies with a lot of action. My husband and I really
loved the movie. The good guys were full of action and true to their character even if they were bootlggers. It show how the law and government was so crooked at that time (even now ). The movie was
very exciting. We loved it.
It is not for kids only over 16.

Awesome

I was between this movie or bourne 2. Anyway i watched this film and it was powerful from front to back. This is the kinda movie you think about for days after watching it! The 2 older brothers are hard hitting guys. Taking no ****! The younger brother is into fast cars! Film is based on the 1920's and they did the best they could showing the viewers how cruel those days could have been. This movie will take awards! I am a movie buff an this one is a must see for sure!! Based on a true story....

WOW! This is a good movie. The cinematography is great; but then it had beautiful landscape scenery to work with. The screenplay is excellent and the director kept the story moving along at a perfect pace. The casting was right on as well. Everyone played off each other wonderfully. This is based on a true story so that always adds to the story. It's intense at times as well as heartfelt. True it has several blooded scenes; but they actually enhance the film. There are two nude scenes that in my opinion were not needed and could have been left out. Tom Hardy did a fantastic job as Forrest and in my opinion rates an Oscar nomination this year. I usually do don't like period piece films; but this one is great. The costumes and the set designs are authentic in every way. I think this film will be liked more by us baby boomers than younger people; only because we can relate to much of it. Many of us have Great Uncles that made moonshine and has told us stories.Go and enjoy this one today.

Good Drama

One of the better drama's I've seen this year! The story was good and keeps you enthralled throughout. Of the three brother's; the audience can relate to two of them, Forrest and Jack. You find yourself routing for the family despite their moonshining ways and there are villains in the film that you just love to hate. The length of the movie might be just a hair to long but it's a good flick anyways. I also liked the ending...left the theatre feeling good :)

Lawless- A must see

Saw Lawless last night and I must say it was a really great movie. Being from the South we have a given understanding of moonshiners which fueled the incomes of many families for many years Go see this movie!.

Lawless (2012)

This movie was pretty violent, gritty and kept you on the edge of your seat. We really enjoyed it. Enjoyed might not quite be the right word, perhaps enthralled or riveted would be better words to describe how we felt. Some scenes were really horrendous. We found Jack's character a bit annoying because he kept getting everyone around him in trouble by not thinking things through clearly. The cinematography was wonderful and the acting was excellent. It was definitely worth going to but be prepared for violence.

"Lawless" Disappoints

While the cinematography and most of the acting in this movie are superb, the story lines are vague and the action disappointing. With the nastiness of Guy Pearce's character, what finally happens to him was not satisfying. And Shia LeBoeuf's character was so spineless I just wanted to slap him - completely annoying! The two female leads are incandescent in both their appearance and their portrayals - well done, ladies! The best scenes are in the previews, so I recommend spending your money on another movie.
