What happened to "kid's" movies?
Parents, if you are one of those who don't want your kids to grow up too fast... this is another one of those movies that will have you answering questions you may not be ready to answer just yet. I had two 11 year olds with me. But, there were many with those much younger in this movie. The only two things about this movie that were "kid-like" is that it is about a kid and it is a cartoon. The ghosts that Norman sees are of a drugged out hippie, murdered mobster, killed fighter pilot, etc. There are a few harmless ones, such as his grandmother. His new best friend's buff older brother is gay. You find this out near the end when Norman's older sister trys flerting with him. Nornman watches b-rated horror movies, to which he tells his parents he is watching "sex and violence" on TV. This was simply much better suited to older kids, more like in their early teens (based on content).
