Fantastic

I was very impressed with everything about this movie...except the two scenes of female nudity. (One very brief, and one very long). Unnecessary and gross!
But overall: Great acting, Great filming, Great writing, Great directing...and such a fascinating plot.
Kind of "tough" movie. Some folks find it hard to watch. It is pretty morbid sometimes. And it's very tense.
Blew me away!

Parents: Had alot of foul language (many uses of the "f" word and taking God's name in vain).
2 scenes of topless females. Lots of violence, gore, and tense scenes (many involve a child). A few times it's very obviously implied that a couple sleeps together, but the act is never seen (just aLOT! of kissing/grabbing/waking up next morning/etc).

Mind Blown

Great story that keeps you entertained the whole movie. The movie's best parts are not given away in the trailer there are great and surprising twists with action throughout. It is not just a mindless action movie. It has a lot of depth and thought put into it. Wonderful acting by Willis Levitt and Blunt and it is appropriate for ages 15 and up. It's is definently an origional idea and is well worth seeing. One of the top 5 movies this year. 10 out of 10

Better than I thought it would be

And I thought it was going to be good! I loved the plot and I'm not going to talk about it at all because I don't want to give anything away!. Gordon-Levitt is now one of my favorite actors, Willis was already there.

I'm not a blood and gore person, but I was able to tolerate this because the plot was so good. Pay attention to the same details (it's supposed to be just a few years into the future). It is a must see.

Amazingly Great Show!

It's been a long time since I've thought a movie was great, but Looper is GREAT! Yes, there are some unexplained plot questions, but it's a time travel movie - of course there will be some unexplained plot questions. All I know is that at the end of the movie, when the screen went blank, it was one of those moments when the audience was silent because we were all so engaged in the story we didn't want it to end. If you like mind benders, and time travel, and subtle arguments about determinism vs free will you MUST SEE this movie!

THOUGHTS ABOUT LOOPER

There are no real spoilers but I have a few thoughts that make more sense after you've seen it. If you enjoy thrillers and/or sci fi you should see Looper because it is both genres at a high level. The screenplay, acting and directing are all great. Cinematography and editing also top-notch. A shock ending too.But I WAS surprised that Paul Dano, an excellent actor, had such a tiny role. Also I didn't quite understand what happened to his character. I found that nebulous. Also, Levitt's character was definitely not a good guy yet we are supposed to identify with and root for him, which I did, but then I had to remind myself occasionally that he was really a stone killer and drug addict who seemed to love and care about nobody but himself. Last, the future gangsters' murder plan would have been much simpler and safer if they had just killed their victims before shipping them back to 2044. But then there'd be no movie!

Awesome film

Story was great - acting was great - music was great - all around a geat film. Joseph was really good as wellas Bruce - the kid where did they find him - he was amazing

Looper

Enjoyed the movie. The action is good enough to keep you interested. The twist is good enough to keep you guessing too, not to obvious (well maybe). Glad I picked this movie and recommend it for a good action movie with a lot of humor too.

OK if you like violence!

interesting premise but there doesnt really seem to be much of a message. Lots of killing. The protaganist i guess learns a lesson about what is really important in life but it falls short. I thought the last 20 minutes were good. The rest was just OK.

Subplots Take Over

I would have enjoyed the movie more if the 'Looper' plot had been developed more and the subplots didn't distract so much from the 'Looper' story. The story seemed to be more memorable from the telekenetic arena rather than the that of the Looper.

Good movie, when focused

Good movie when the focus remained on a few elements. It reminded me a bit of a Steven King book/move where there were several elements working together hoping to find a fit. The mob, the future, the hit men, ...and TK? There were several other backgrounds that (one of the movie's villians) could have explained the evil. For instance, take a note from James Bond villians and just make the person mean, nasty, clever, and EVIL. Overall it was an entertaining film. There was no message or lessons learned, and it may leave you feeling a bit wanting for more. More explaination, more action, or just more something.

Great film!!

An excellent story. Joseph Gordon Leavitt and Bruce Willis share a enthralling connection in this film that is exciting till the very end of the movie. A must see!

Great Movie!

Wife and I loved this but the ending caused some spirited discussion! We both had a different vision for how it could have ended with a little more creativity. That said, it was a great movie!

I'll pass

Didn't like the film. It was just too violent. I didn't even stay to see the ending.
I got tired of seeing the never ending violence. The director repeated the same thing over and over. There are better movies out there. I'll go see one of those.

Not one of the great time travel movies. Must see covert affairs star!

Time travel concepts borrowed from other similar movies. Most scenes run too long without a lot of action. If you ever wanted see the star of covert affairs in a new light, then its a must see.

BAD FKN ASS!

I loved this movie! Went to see it out on a limb with my girlfriend because we wanted to go to the movies and it was her birthday the night before so I went to go take her out. It was the last showing at 10:15pm and we both have school and work the next day but it was so worth the 2 hours! It went by so quick! It was very the most original story line with great graphics and everything! Loved it!!!
