good movie, unique and full of interesting ideas...

after the trailers I knew this was going to be a good movie- did it live up to the hype- yes definitely. The movie overall was exciting, full of action, has a sci-fi concept done uniquely, and was also full of interesting concepts and twists.. it also had depth and wasn't just some shallow mindless movie full of overrated hype. This was thrilling and different- the actors all did a good job- emily blunt was good as the failed mother trying to raise a son in odd conditions, and the kid who played the rainmaker guy was really good. bruce willis and others also did a good job in their roles. I wish they would have showed the rainmaker guy in the future time, and there were a few plotholes and unanswered questions. the concepts of telekinesis in the future and other things portrayed were also intriguing. the movie left you thinking after it was done. it wasn't the most amazing movie or anything but compared to movies today it was pretty good and one you'll definitely want to check out.

Action packed

If you want a movie where you have to think, and keep you guessing throughout the full 2 hours then "Looper" is the movie for you. Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are in this movie and do a rgeat job portraying time traveling and what the world could look like 30 years down the road. It was a wild time, and it kept me guessing on what would be happening in every scene. It was worth the money, and i will have to see it again to get more out of it. You think you know what will happen next, but you are wrong. Go check it out. It was a wild ride. This movie is not for kids, for there is nudity and foul language.

Good Movie

The movie had a very good flow to it. It wasn't like jumping from scene to scene. I loved the actors, they did a very good job.

Its got a certain level of "smart" to it to keep up. I like the movie a lot. Definitely worh $5-$7.50. Not wort the $10. See it early in the day.

Absolutely Must-See

Absolutely amazing. One of the best sci-fi movies in years. Comparable to Blade Runner in its level of world-building, tension, suspense and the moral and ethical questions it poses for the viewer. Could not recommend it highly enough.

An excellent film with an unexpected ending. A good script means the lead actors can really put something extra into their character and the pace of action is fast; just what you want from this type of film genre.

So so....interesting plot and nice acting (Bruce Willis still can excite), but none of the characters are really worth caring about. The deus ex machina ending/climax was a bit much and not very engaging. My recommendation -- wait for it on DvD/OnDemand.

Best Fall Movie of the Year

I was a little skeptical at first when I saw the trailer. After having so many new movies come out that were related to time travel fail, I was expecting the same to happen in this one ,but that wasn't the case.

Looper was filled with a lot of plot twists ,so even if you think you had it all figured out something would happen that would completely make your prediction impossible.

I, myself, am not the biggest fan of action movies ,but was very entertained and deeply moved throughout the entire film.

Must watch!

Characters Get Older and So Do Their Lines

The smugness of Bruce Willis is old, and tired. There is nothing new here, he is the same old Willis we've seen time and again. The story is, however intriguing, but the performance of the younger actors leaves much to be desired. I would have enjoyed this better on DVD while doing laundry.

The best movie of 2012 so far

Go in knowing as little as possible and you will be handsomely rewarded. Nothing this original has been seen on the silver screen since Inception, and Bruce Willis hasn't been this good in years. If you miss it, you'll regret it.

Suspenseful, Thought Provoking...A Well Told Tale.

This film keeps the audience both engaged and at times immersed, in both the on-screen action and its ever developing plot. Unlike some recent sci-fi film installments, this movie?s plot isn't so overly complex as to confuse the audience and convolute the story. Instead, this is a very good and unusual screenplay, executed exceptionally well by very talented actors and actresses. The one thing that bothered me, and it was minor, was while I understand the reason for Gordon-Levitt's wearing the prosthetic of a young Willis on his face, if you ask me it was completely unnecessary, and a little distracting. Otherwise, this is a fine movie, well worth its ticket price. See it. You won't be disappointed..

Looper is pretty cool

After waiting for nearly 2 months, preview after preview, I finally made it to the movies to see looper and am satisfied with just about everything it has to offer, a side of Bruce Willis I've never seen before, a type of Sci-fi Intensity, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt played a good role as Bruce Willis twin in between the past and the future, also, Emily Blunt as the boys mother in the present date pretty good, I'le see it again, when I don't know I suggest you do.

More than just killing time

Sci-Fi fans have been looking forward to this movie since April, when Rian John talked about this movie at Wondercon. It is all that and more.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt has building his reputation as an up and coming leading man in this movie about a hit-man named Joe who kills people from the future and has quite a life. However, when he has to kill his future self, that's when things get complicated. Add the fact that the future self wants to kill someone who will grow up and kill Loopers, and you have an intriguing movie about time travel and destiny.

Big kudos to Bruce Willis as the future Joe, Emily Blunt as a farm girl caught in the crossfire, and Pierce Gagnon as a little kid who makes a big impact. Check this out, guys

Painful

Twists and turns, clever plot twists, blah blah blah. This turns out to be a long movie with a buzz kill ending. The special effects suck. And at the end, you were supposed to say "ooohh, the grand irony". Except what you really are thinking is "how the heck did this get 3 or 4 stars from the critics"? Really, it'll be great when it is on HBO (probably 5000 times). Save it for that.... It drags, bad.

Looper Review

An excellent beginning to future cinematic masterpieces. This film was very entertaining, it keeps the audience guessing until the end and did not fail to impress. The futuristic aspects of Looper were exceptionally filmed under the directing of Rian Johnson, outstanding performances from Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis. The prosthetic makeup applied to Joseph to give him the unique facial structure of Bruce Willis is incredible. The movies unique soundtrack keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, a marvelous job by composer Nathan Johnson. This film does a wonderful job of explaining the cataclysmic effects of time travel both to the world a to a persons mind. Overall Looper is an excellent film which I recommend to anyway 16 and older(:

Enjoyed INCEPTION??? This is a movie to add to your collection!!!

This movie was everything and more. If you enjoyed sci-fi movies with an interesting concept that made you think afterwards about what really happened (i.e. Inception, Source Code) then this is the movie to see, I feel like it filled that void of a great movie making me think afterwards, re-explain the concept, second guess my explanation etc... since Inception. This movie will definitely leave you talking!
