Suspenseful, Thought Provoking...A Well Told Tale.

This film keeps the audience both engaged and at times immersed, in both the on-screen action and its ever developing plot. Unlike some recent sci-fi film installments, this movie?s plot isn't so overly complex as to confuse the audience and convolute the story. Instead, this is a very good and unusual screenplay, executed exceptionally well by very talented actors and actresses. The one thing that bothered me, and it was minor, was while I understand the reason for Gordon-Levitt's wearing the prosthetic of a young Willis on his face, if you ask me it was completely unnecessary, and a little distracting. Otherwise, this is a fine movie, well worth its ticket price. See it. You won't be disappointed..

Excellent!

Really EXCELLENT movie. Makes your head hurt trying to sort out time travel! Well worth the time and money! I really would like to see it again, which would help to explain a few things. Very enjoyable. My husband and I had a great discussion/argument on the way home. GO SEE IT!

Looper - Not Bad

This movie was OK...slow in the beginning, then got more cohesive as it went. The little child actor was pretty scary amazing...pretty good ending. Good enough not to be a wsate of your money.

Just plain awesome

Highly reccommend this movie to anyone who love a good mind twisting, intelligent, futuristic, etc type of movie. Joseph Gordon Levitt was devine as usual and accompanied by Bruce Willis, the dynamic was spot on.

There is a little bit of a lull in the middle of the movie, but overall you are on the edge of your seat and paying close attention the entire time.

I would definitely say to go see this in theaters as the effects and sound add a special something. All is all, totally awesome movie. I might just go see it again.

the movie ticket taker said looper was like "inception"

It's nothing like inception! This is a great sci fi movie that keeps your attention for the whole duration. Loved the little details like the mazda miata! I would give it two thumbs up.

Boring, too long , same old stuff; call a movie sci-fi, have a little sci-fi idea in it and then just pump it full of shooting and chasing just like all of the other brainless movies.

Characters Get Older and So Do Their Lines

The smugness of Bruce Willis is old, and tired. There is nothing new here, he is the same old Willis we've seen time and again. The story is, however intriguing, but the performance of the younger actors leaves much to be desired. I would have enjoyed this better on DVD while doing laundry.

Not What I expected

Wow This movie is a true work of art. It kept me guessing until the very end, which is rare these days. I liked the fact that they kept it believable and did not go overboard with the time travel aspects or the action. Definitely a must see.

One of the best movies of the year... Hands Down!
When I saw the trailer, I felt like Time Travel + Bruce Willis = Usual Stuff.... NOT!!!!
The movie is AMAZING. and definitely worth taking the time out to go to a movie theater and watching it. My wife doesn't care for SciFi stuff and even SHE LOVED IT!!!
So YES WORTH EVERY PENNY :)

Painful

Twists and turns, clever plot twists, blah blah blah. This turns out to be a long movie with a buzz kill ending. The special effects suck. And at the end, you were supposed to say "ooohh, the grand irony". Except what you really are thinking is "how the heck did this get 3 or 4 stars from the critics"? Really, it'll be great when it is on HBO (probably 5000 times). Save it for that.... It drags, bad.

Thinking Man's Popcorn Movie

The logic and plot are a bit fuzzy at times, but it's pretty enjoyable throughout and the interaction between young Joe and old Joe is often hilarious.

EPIC!

First time I came to theater and sat down, forgot all about new device closed captioning. My son got it from counter at theater and bought it over here so I watch and same time I read closed captioning. It is cool device about 3 feet tall with 4 inches square weight on the floor and top about 2 or 3 inches square with digital closed caption, it has bendable stick where I can move it around to my comfortable reading where I'm sitting on the chair. It is wonderful and it is my first time! Great movie plus closed captioning!!!

Not one of the great time travel movies. Must see covert affairs star!

Time travel concepts borrowed from other similar movies. Most scenes run too long without a lot of action. If you ever wanted see the star of covert affairs in a new light, then its a must see.

I really liked this movie! It was well-acted and filmed, and delivered a developed plot without being predictable or cliche. The effects were great, without being hokey, and in was very entertaining. You wanted more once the movie ended.

Good movie, when focused

Good movie when the focus remained on a few elements. It reminded me a bit of a Steven King book/move where there were several elements working together hoping to find a fit. The mob, the future, the hit men, ...and TK? There were several other backgrounds that (one of the movie's villians) could have explained the evil. For instance, take a note from James Bond villians and just make the person mean, nasty, clever, and EVIL. Overall it was an entertaining film. There was no message or lessons learned, and it may leave you feeling a bit wanting for more. More explaination, more action, or just more something.
