    Decently Funny!

This movie kind of makes fun of the politicians of today. Trying to win without making any type of change to help the people. Gives some funny twist of how politicians may try to win a seat.

    entertaining

funny and over the top, but yet plenty of truths mixed in there..i thought the movie was entertaing for the most part, dragged slightly towards the end, but overall worth seeing...characters were likeable and there were hysterical and raunchy moments throughout..overall a good time.

    As promised a Galifianakis classic..

    by

Pretty good stuff. Not as unpredictable as The Hangover, but still a good one...
I would deff watch again, I missed a good bit from laughing... Zach Galifianakis makes you laugh by walking, running and talking. The acting is a bonus!
Can't wait until it comes out on DVD...
It is a must see if you love Zack...err... Seth Galifianakis....

Perfect time to see The Campaign

We LOVED this very funny movie. The audience was in stitches throughout. It gets right to the point without being mean-spirited. No matter what your politics, it's hard to miss the concept that big money has completely taken over the political process. Will Ferrell was as funny as ever and Zack Galifanakis was a perfectly pitched Marty Huggins. We recommend that you see this BEFORE the party conventions later this month! Makes you wonder why, since all major candidates have already been selected, the Republicans and Democrats are spending billions of their campaign contributor's dollars on these extravagant weeklong boondoggles to nowhere.

    Campaign is O.K.

Will and Zach are funny cats, but this one leaves a little to be desired. Not nearly as funny as Stepbrothers, or even Talladega Nights. Funny, but not $9.50 per person funny. I'd wait for it on DVD or at least grab a matinee for cheaper price.

    Good actors, decent movie.

    by lmjett

The last movie I seen was ?The Campaign? featuring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis. The movie wasn?t an awful movie, but not one of my favorites. It has some funny scenes, but overall I believe it was too hyped. The commercials for this movie really hyped it up too much for my liking. One of the worst parts about this movie is that most, if not all, of the funny parts in the movie were in the commercials, so there was nothing hiding. The movie is aimed at an adult audience based on the humor that was in the movie. Honestly, not the best movie to take your family to go see. The ending is good with a little bit of a twist which is nice. Ferrell and Galifianakis are hilarious as usual in this film. I?d rent this movie, not buy.

    Funny movie

it's been a while since I have been to a comedy where the entire audience is laughing and howling through the entire movie like they did during this one. If you are a Will Ferrell or Zack Galifianakis fan, this is a MUST SEE!

    Uneven Quality, Even-handed satire

Outstanding performance by Zack Galifianakis, very good by Will Ferrell. None of the characters are particularly admirable, but neither are most of them unsympathetic and they are all entertaining. The satire gets awfully heavy-handed at times, and the message is very, very clear. On the bright side, there are scenes that had all of us, ages 18-60, laughing until tears ran down our cheeks. Watching the movie was both a relief from the intensity and bitterness of the current campaign and a reminder that our elections really are driven (being bought?) by the wealthiest 0.01%. For Motch, read Koch, and think about it!

    The Campaign

    by DBell

It is what it is.....................a Will and Zach movie. Pretty raunchy but funny in many parts. But, not really realistic. Good light hearted fun though. I enjoyed it!!

Movie is less than the sum of it's parts

    by

You'd think that Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis making a political comedy would be a recipe for an all-time great comedy. However, the movie turned out to be so-so. Definitely not Galifianakis' best (I'd even put Out Cold above it) and obviously, this is no Old School, but nonetheless, it was still fairly funny. I used discounted tickets, so I'll say it was worth the money.

    Just Ok. funny, but Ok

The Campaign was much less than I expected, there were some really funny moments, but for the most part, especially the last half of the film, was a big let down. It is worth watching for sure, but dont pay 10 dollars for a ticket, wait for dvd.

Average in Humor - Heavy on Profanity

The Campaign was a "miss" for me. It was funny in spots, even hilariously funny, but overall I would give this movie a C-. It definitely is not for kids. There is some nudity and lots of profanity. I was quite disappointed in this movie. I also found the movie to be quite offensive toward Southerners and especially NC natives. I am a native North Carolinian, thus a Southerner by birth. I have grown tired of people not from this part of the country trying to emulate a Southern accent. And was this movie poking fun at NC by chance? At any rate, my husband wanted to walk out but we stayed on hoping it would get better and because we did pay to see the movie. Needless to say, the movie did not improve much at all.

    Will is better than this!

Will Ferrell is better than this it was constant profanity, sexual situations. It is like the writer and director had nothing else to offer so lets just use profanity and sex to get through this. Will can do much better don't settle next time. Could have been a good movie. Would not recommend for the price of a movie today. Adults only! Very funny in parts but over the top otherwise.

    Not funny

    by spree

The movie was too desperate with crude humor. They used the F-bomb consistently, everyone approved of everyone sleeping with everyone and it just didn't work. There were a couple of funny scenes, but not even worth a rental to us. The basis was interesting, it should have been written better with funny lines.

Comedy with a Side of Political Awareness

The Campaign was full of great punchlines and silly antics, but the most impressive thing was how poignantly and simply the movie communicates the dangers facing our democracy:
    Citizen's United,
    Electronic Voting Machine Fraud, and
Environmental Regulation/Wage Disparity due to Globalization.

I seriously hope everyone who sees this movie understands how real these threats are and votes accordingly. We need representatives who will overturn corporate personhood and minimize the influence of money in politics.

The movie is cute at times, raunchy at times, but overall it is entertaining and inspiring. VOTE!
