    Pretty Funny

The Campaign was a lot funnier than I expected it to be. Will Ferrell has not had a really good movie in a while, but this one was not bad. It was no Anchorman, Old School, Hangover, or any of those, but entertaining none the less. But pretty predictable as well

    waste of time and money

Movie sucked... big time. There was only a few laughs in the theater, but it was mostly quiet. The only humerous parts were in the preview. Don't waste your money on this. Save this one for an at home rental.

Hits the target -- but it's a mighty big target

It'd be hard not to get some laughs out of spoofing a modern political campaign, and this movie does...get some laughs, I mean. But, when you get right down to it, the current national presidential campaign and, even more, the Republican primary of the last few months, have been much funnier than this movie.

Question -- why is it that MSNBC political analysts always get to play themselves in these types of movies -- Chris Matthews, Ed Schultz, etc.? Why can't Fox News people get their shot? Don't they have a sense of humor at Fox News? Not that I really want to see any of those people on the big screen -- I was just wondering.

    not funny... FILTH

no wonder the country is turning away from the good.... can't find a funny movie that can do WITHOUT the filthy language. What's the point in it? really..... it's shameful to see what makes people laugh .

    Politics As Usual

The Campaign was a much needed diversion from this super charged, super stressful election season. And now that November 6th is past, and we can all breathe a sigh of relief, 'The Campaign' was definitely there when I needed of a laugh. A little bit raunchier than I'd have liked, 'Campaign' had its funny bits. Of course there's no denying that Ferrell and Galifianakis are hilarious in their own right, but they played off of one another well enough not to steal too much of the spotlight. Pretty solid comedy from two veteran funny men.

    Funny Social Commentary

It was hilariously funny; Ferrell, Galifianakis, and Jason Sudeikis were hilarious. However, it was a blatant social commentary on the state of campaign finance reform and the introduction of super pacs after Citizens United. If you want a funny, politically charged movie, this is for you.

Will Farrell makes a good act, but not a good show.

    by bfshea

I had such high hopes for a great summer "mindless movie," and this was terrible. Will Farrell is best when doing a scripted act -- like on SNL. He is absolutely terrible at improv, and besides "Elf," his movie appearances cause gastric distress.

    THE CAMPAIGN

This film is not what you think it is. It's a highly political movie that is hidden with over the top stero-types with comedy. No matter how hard I tried not to laugh, I couldn't help myself. I think that's the purpose, to make you focus on the funny bits and really not see the sub-message of the film. I have to say I loved this one in spite of the P C incorrectness. Galifianakis is fantastic and makes this film. He did a perfect job bringing his chacter to life. He rules the screen from start to finish. If you don't mind some cussing then this is a fun filled couple of hours to laugh your head off and truly see the inner workings of a true political campaign.

    Crazy

    by

I was crying especially when they shook hands and Will Ferrell punched the baby! This was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time!

    LAUGH OUT LOUD FUNNY !!!

    by j2kloss

Hysterical movie. VERY vulgar so don't go if sexual content bothers you. Definitely not for anyone under 17.

I laughed out loud for the entire movie.

    Very Disappointed

If your a big fan of the "F" Bomb being screamed over and over again, then this movie is for you. I found it very offensive and should have walked out. There were a few ha-ha moments but the movie was spoiled by the vulgar language.

    The Campaign

I took my wife and adult daughter to this movie. There were several parts in the movie where we laughed until we cried. However, this is definitely not for children. There were way too many f bombs and other bathroom humor that could have been eliminated and still have a funny movie. It seems too many movie directors and writers these days think they have to do that just to get an R rating.

If you are a fan of Will and Zach's style of humor, you will like this movie. The plot is OK if not predictable, but still many laugh out loud moments.

Overall, I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars for the entertainment value, but a thumbs down for the gross language.

    The Campaign

    by de32828

Movie was silly and funny. Just what you would expect with Will Farrell and Zach Galifinakis. I LOVED the role that Dylan McDermott played, he was a great addition to the cast. I've never seen him in a comedy, he was awesome.
