brilliant and timely
by
Spectacular performances by Ferrell and Galifianakis in a brilliant script that should be recognized as much for its daring portrayal of the American election process as for its fall-out-of-your-seat laughs. It is no suprise to me that the "Moch Brothers" depicted in the movie are not mentioned in any of the promo pieces, because they are not reallly fictional. They refer to the real-life Koch Brothers of Koch industries, oil billionaires who are funding the so-called "Tea Party", school segregation, right-wing candidates who will gut environmental controls, and the disastrous KV Pipeline project. This movie is a wake-up call to those who want to believe that our political system is working and that corporate control of candidates is just a fantasy. See it BEFORE you cast your vote in this election! Major kudos to Will Ferrell!!
