    Enjoyable but stupid movie

As long as you know what you are going for, you will enjoy it.
Is it the best movie? No.
    Is it stupid? Yes.
Are there many laugh out loud scenes? For sure!

If you enjoy this genre of movie, and like Will Ferrell and/or Zach Galifianakis, don't hesitate.

    The Campaign was FUNNY

Will & zach were very good in their roles. The movie was engaging and kept a steady flow. Even though I have two teenage children, who thought it was funny, I was little taken back by some of the dialogue. I know it was an R-Rated movie and it was my choice to take my children but I did feel a but uneasy. Overall, I would give the movie a 9+

    Decently Funny!

This movie kind of makes fun of the politicians of today. Trying to win without making any type of change to help the people. Gives some funny twist of how politicians may try to win a seat.

Movie is less than the sum of it's parts

    by

You'd think that Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis making a political comedy would be a recipe for an all-time great comedy. However, the movie turned out to be so-so. Definitely not Galifianakis' best (I'd even put Out Cold above it) and obviously, this is no Old School, but nonetheless, it was still fairly funny. I used discounted tickets, so I'll say it was worth the money.

    So Much Promise Wasted

This movie was very funny early on...than descended into silliness...than took itself seriously near the end.

The 1st 1/3rd was worthwhile, than it rest of it was worth walking out on.

Save your $, and wait for it to come out on video / cable.

    not quite a winner

while worth seeing as a broad satire of contemporary politics, The Campaign could have been better, much better, if it relied less on heavy-handed "humor" and nore on subtlety. it's an entertaining way to spend some time, but you'll walk out less-than-satisfied at its missed opportunity.

    brilliant and timely

    by

Spectacular performances by Ferrell and Galifianakis in a brilliant script that should be recognized as much for its daring portrayal of the American election process as for its fall-out-of-your-seat laughs. It is no suprise to me that the "Moch Brothers" depicted in the movie are not mentioned in any of the promo pieces, because they are not reallly fictional. They refer to the real-life Koch Brothers of Koch industries, oil billionaires who are funding the so-called "Tea Party", school segregation, right-wing candidates who will gut environmental controls, and the disastrous KV Pipeline project. This movie is a wake-up call to those who want to believe that our political system is working and that corporate control of candidates is just a fantasy. See it BEFORE you cast your vote in this election! Major kudos to Will Ferrell!!

    Funny

The Campaign was quite funny, with much physical humor. A few things were very predictable, but the ending was not. A nice, light movie for an afternoon or evening. I wouldn't bring anyone under 8 or 10.

    Filler movie

Based on last summers terrible movie output I would say this movie is decent at best Has some funny parts. Probably going to be one of those movies that gets better the more you watch it.

    Very Disappointed

If your a big fan of the "F" Bomb being screamed over and over again, then this movie is for you. I found it very offensive and should have walked out. There were a few ha-ha moments but the movie was spoiled by the vulgar language.

    Hilarious

The funniest movie I've seen in a long time. Some movies are rated R and you wonder why, but this is definitely one to not bring your kids to.

    entertaining

funny and over the top, but yet plenty of truths mixed in there..i thought the movie was entertaing for the most part, dragged slightly towards the end, but overall worth seeing...characters were likeable and there were hysterical and raunchy moments throughout..overall a good time.
