    B+

Great coming of age flick that is as heart wrenching as it is nostalgic. I loved the suprises and wide range of emotions that we were treated with. First time I've seen Logan Lerman....impressed!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GO SEE THIS

Logan Lerman needs an Oscar for this. The movie needs tons of Oscars for this. Perks of Being a Wallflower is by far the best book to movie adaptation I have ever seen. The acting is amazing. The storyline is as fantastic as it was in the book. I absolutely love it. It's one of my favorite movies now. It deserves every penny and every award it will earn in the future. Will not disappoint fans of the book at all!

Do you read a book before seeing the movie?

    by DMPCPS

This is always a tough one for me. I read The Perks of Being a Wallflower and had high expectations for the movie. This movie was artfully done - not like the American Pie series. It was tasteful when it came to tough subjects like alcohol and drugs while still getting the point across. I was not thrilled wiht some of the scenes left out from the book. I know they only have so much time on screen, but I thought some of the scenes were relative to the story. Someone that did not read the book may not have the background needed to understand some issues.

    Overall, a great movie!

    A refreshing story, beautifully shot

If you are looking for another Juno movie, beware this is not one of them. However, this movie is amongst the genius and shot beautifully.

Kudos to Emma Watson for playing a great role and showing her diversity outside of the wizarding world! Ezra Miller played his part so well and within his situation in the story hit home for me and many gays amongst the states.

Great acting in a great movie

The actors in this well directed movie were all excellent. It was told from the teenagers viewpoint and the adults had very little dialog. This movie was one of the best movies of the year and I think it should not be forgotten when oscar nominations are being selected. . You will be so engrossed in the movie that you will not be not even be tempted to look at your watch. GO SEE IT and enjoy!

    First-rate movie!

I don't often find movies that I would consider watching a second time, but this one qualifies.
I really liked the development of the characters throughout the movie, and the themes dealing with starting high school, high school relationships, and messed up parents/relatives are easily relatable to real life.
I took my 12 year old to see it, but he is a pretty sophisticated and mature movie-goer, and I wouldn't recommend this movie for anyone under the age of 16 due to the mature themes and drug use in the movie.

A real-life peek of our world today

    by leamu

Really well done and not the usual special effects, foul language or abundant sex that so many other movies need to just be OK. A surprising story line - revealed toward the end of the movie - and characters that don't require a lot of immagination to believe. Really, for everyone.

Exceptional, Thoroughly Engaging...Look For This One At The Oscars.

Among the more than 250 films I've seen on screen this year, this one is among the best. The screenplay here is extremely well executed by this cast. Frankly, this film lacks nothing I can think of. It's a great story, emotionally charged, filled to brimming with rich characters, deep and skillfully crafted. Emma Watson picked a good platform from which to launch an adult film career. Potter will soon be a distant memory for her if she maintains this momentum. See this film. You won't be disappointed.

    Wonderful poignant story!

This is a wonderful story dealing with the very troubling topic of sexual abuse of a very young boy by a family member and the heartwrenching consequences it creates for him in his developmental teen years. The characters are well defined and clear in the story they tell and the emotions they evoke in the viewer. The humor, dark at times, and the pathos intertwine and unraevel on the teen years stage of acceptance, peer pressure and the formation of relationships..

One of the best movies I have ever seen

Slowly this movie creeps into you, moving you slightly until midway through you are completely entrenched in the plot and the characters. I have not been moved from a movie such as this since American Beauty or Big Fish. At the end of the film I actually took perspective on my own life in deciphering what trivial matters I needed to give up on and try and be the person I once was. A truly spectacular movie that anyone who wants to lead a full life should run to go see!

Bittersweet but one of the best movies of the year!

This movie was a huge suprise i expected a cute movie but woah this was really emotional and sad at parts! I'll start off by saying the cast is awesome and the acting is top notch. now that i got that out the way another thing that this movie has iis that it is a smart high school comedy most high school comedys are just over the top and crazy but this movie was so grounded and emotional and i liked that. I also liked how they gave you hints of charlieschildhood throughout the movie and at the end boom connects and ties up all the loose ends and this movie actually is really accurate and modern because a lot of things that are in this movie still actually happen today in schools unlike some movies were bullys do things that are "old school" . Paul rudd was so different in this movie he's usually the funny guy but he was so serious and i limed his role because it shows that he's not juat the funny man!. I would give this a 8.5/10
