    Wonderful!

    by

The book has become my favorite book of all time, and I'll be honest the film doesn't even come close to the book! The movie however is still amazing, and if you have no interest in reading the book at least witness in my option one of the greatest movies of the decade.

I can't say enough about this movie.

    by

I haven't seen a movie like this in a long time. It is absolutely incredible. The entire cast is exactly how I pictured them to be when I read the book. You feel everything right along with the characters, and the story is extremely touching. GO SEE IT!!! Worth every penny.

    Quirky Movie

The only reason i went to this movie and I had to go out of my way to do it, was to see Emma Watson. She made the movie worth it. It was a pretty strange movie, overall. A movie about a despirately confused boy who finds help and friendship that helps him through some pretty horrible challenges in his life.

This movie keeps you thinking afterwards..

I didn't read the book so went in knowing very little about the movie. I thought it was going to be a light humorous take on teenage life. Wow, was I wrong! This movie was excellent unlike any other teenage genre flick. I left the theater thinking about Charlie and his friends and what a strength Charlie's character had to persevere after suffering through several tragedies. To go on his own to events where he could have stayed home in the safety of his family. I am a parent and feel that every teenager, parent should go see this film. A lot of teenagers nowadays are dealing with lots of issues and we all need to remember to give them some slack. I cried, laughed and felt so many emotions during this film (bring tissue). I am going to go get the book now and read it! Go see this movie! The actors, screenplay and directing were Oscar worthy! Absolutely loved this film! This is one to add to the dvd library once it comes out for sale!

Perks of Being a Wallflower is an Emotional Ride!

Let me preface this review by saying I'm a 40-something adult and the mother of teenagers. That being said, I loved this movie. It was poignant, heart-breaking, funny, and sweet. I can't remember experiencing such an emotional ride in the movie theater in a long time. These kids are dealing with adult issues and somehow finding their way through the chaos of wounded pasts and uncertain futures. I loved it and I hated that I was a wreck when I left the movie theater. Yes, I cried. And I don't like crying in public. But I adored the movie. Unfortunately, because of the deep issues these kids deal with, I'm not quite comfortable letting my teenagers see this movie alone. Noticed I said comfortable. No, I wouldn't stop them if they wanted to see it. Although, I'm not sure they'll be interested. This might be more of a movie for girls of a certain age even though the main protagonist is a boy. I'm not sure. All in all, I loved the movie. The author is masterful. Now I need to read the book!

And In that moment i swear we were infinite

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is honestly one of the best movies I have ever seen. It didnt been special effects or anything like that. It was so true to the teenage experience. So relatable to many people. Just a beautiful movie that changed me. I didnt want it to be over. Powerful beyond words. Cannot wait to read the book! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!

Great acting in a great movie

The actors in this well directed movie were all excellent. It was told from the teenagers viewpoint and the adults had very little dialog. This movie was one of the best movies of the year and I think it should not be forgotten when oscar nominations are being selected. . You will be so engrossed in the movie that you will not be not even be tempted to look at your watch. GO SEE IT and enjoy!

Exceptional, Thoroughly Engaging...Look For This One At The Oscars.

Among the more than 250 films I've seen on screen this year, this one is among the best. The screenplay here is extremely well executed by this cast. Frankly, this film lacks nothing I can think of. It's a great story, emotionally charged, filled to brimming with rich characters, deep and skillfully crafted. Emma Watson picked a good platform from which to launch an adult film career. Potter will soon be a distant memory for her if she maintains this momentum. See this film. You won't be disappointed.

    We Felt Infinite

The movie is truly brilliant. It helps it was written by the author. The movie might actually be better than the book (gasp!). A friend and I went to see the film, and we cried/laughed/hugged/etc. It's a great film for those who read the book, it's a great film for those who have an interest in any of the actors, and it's a film for those who identify as members of ?the island of misfit toys,? as the beautiful Sam (Emma Watson) mentions.

    Perks of Being a Wallflower

I must say I was really impressed. I loved the book and was excited for the movie but also worried it wouldn?t hold up to the book as is the case with most movies. But I think all in all they stayed true to the book. Emma Watson, Ezra Miller, and Logan Lerman were captivating. They all captured their characters completely. Overall is was a very moving film that I would recommend to everyone.

    What an AMAZING film!

    by tyedi66

I knew little about the movie and was definitely not the 'target audience' for the movie as I'm in my mid 40's but something compelled me to go see it anyway.... and am I GLAD I DID! What an amazing film. I can say nothing negative about it, it has absolutely everything going for it. The characters were so likeable, the storyline was very endearing and the acting/actors were INCREDIBLE. It is one of those movies that I will never forget. It is definitely on the top of the list of my favorites movies and I will be seeing it again as soon as it's available to purchase. I would say this is the definition of a 'MUST SEE' movie!!!

A real-life peek of our world today

    by leamu

Really well done and not the usual special effects, foul language or abundant sex that so many other movies need to just be OK. A surprising story line - revealed toward the end of the movie - and characters that don't require a lot of immagination to believe. Really, for everyone.

Not your regular teen movie ...

    by

This movie is a well executed masterpiece!
The acting is first rate, the characters are wonderful, the sense of being in their time and place is well executed, and we get to see Emma Watson outside of her well known movie character.
The three main leads are just beyond anything I was prepared to expect. Sure, I went to the film to see Emma Watson but I was treated to so much more. I will see this film again too. And I will watch for more films with all three leads too. As Fandango says ....This film is a MUST GO>

    Get to the theater!!

I never knew there was a book (so no expectations) just decided to go after reading some reviews. SOOOO glad I did. It took me back to the days of watching John Hughes films (breakfast club, sixteen candles). It captures the joy, pain, and angst of being a teen so well. These kids all give GREAT performances. Emma is a doll so nice to see her doing good work after the Potter series. The 2 main guys actors are fantastic. If you like good films....GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!
