Good, but not great!

Basically the film starts where it left off from the first "Taken". You would think ex wife and daughter learn from their previous situation, but no. They manage to get into the same situation, but with a little twist. During that time off from the previous movie, Liam Neeson's character was able to hone his mapping skills using just his watch, listening for nearby auditory cues, and have someone else (I won't say who) throw random grenades. I wouldn't have mind watching this when it comes out on BluRay, but it was okay.

Don't waste your time or money

This movie is nothing like Taken, it is kill, kill, kill. The plot is so predictable and the action is so Hollywood repeat, you have seen this same movie over and over and over again. Just don't waste your time, the movie is just not worth the effort and it is an effort. We almost left half way through, what a terrible movie.

Liam Neeson is taking over Bruce Willis's Spot

I said this before the movie, and ironically there was a trailer for the new Die Hard, but, Liam Neeson is taking over for Bruce Willis as the resident bad ass. The movie was great, all the actors played their parts perfectly. The action was great and of course Liam Neeson is just too cool for school. But, I actually like Taken better than Taken 2. It just seemed more realistic the way things went down. I don't want to give anything away, but I had beef with the daughter driving. When you see it, you may understand the irony of her skills. However, it was still an awesome flick and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes action :)

Not sure what Movie the critics saw ??

No idea how this film got such a low rating. It was very entertaining. Another perfect reason why you can not pay attention to those losers!!

Not as good as the 1st (of course!)

I love Liam Neeson! I thought they could have played off more on the story then them just coming for him for revenge and I did not like the fight scenes as much as the 1st movie it was very chopped or short clipped and kind of unclear who was hitting who. I still enjoyed the movie but like I said it was no where near as good as the 1st. Still a big fan!!!

BAD BAD BAD

IT IS WORST MOVIE THAT I EVER SEEN. IT DOES NOT SHOW THE REAL TURKISH LIFESTYLE. TURKISH POLICE CARS ARE LIKE FROM 1950s. AND ALL STREET IN ISTANBUL LOOKS LIKE GARBAGE. I AM LIVING IN TURKEY AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT MUCH OLD POLICE CARS. I DO NOT WHERE THEY TOOK THE MOVIE.BUT IT IS NOT IN ISTANBUL. I THINK MOVIE SIMPLY TRY TO SAY TURKEY AND? MUSLIMS BAD. AMERICANS ARE HERO.

Very good movie

This movie is a must see if you like great action. Most of all was the twist it had from the first movie. I kind of have a feeling there will be a Taken 3 but I hope not. You can only take the storyline so far. It should stop here. I was very pleased with this movie and will definetly buy it when it comes out on Blu-Ray.

Fast paced action

The movie was very enjoyable. It seemed to fly by, and while it is on the shorter end, 92 min., I felt satified and curious if there will be another chapter in the series.

Great Movie

I would recommend this movie to anybody, but you must see the first movie "Taken". I was in suspense as to how this was going to turn out. Full of action and Liam Neeson is awesome in this movie;. He is a tremen dous actor. He put you right in the movie with all its action. A must see! What I also liked was there wasn't all the sex, and cussing (just a little) I would not recommend this to children under 16 because of all the shootings and killings.

Good Movie, but not as good as the first one.

Taken 2 is a really good movie in its own right, I cant put my finger on it, but something is missing from it that made the original Taken a little bit better.

Bit cheesy ok

Poor special effects and a-team style car flips. Liam seem to be a complete control freak in the film which gets a little annoying. We saw as nothing else was on... was 'ok'.

It was good. It was difficult to manage 2 rescues plus getting all the bad guys inside the time limit, but it got done. Unlike most sequels, it was good. I hope though that little gate at the end leaving an opening for a 3rd closes unless they work a new take on it. Cast was great!

What do you get if you mix 007, Batman, and Father of the year? Brian.....

The movie was a shell of the the first Taken. The plot was so ridiculous. Heres a guy that is the most vicious assassin and we are supposed to believe he is a normal guy with a family? In the whole movie he shot about 50 people, and didn't come close to missing once. Lets not worry about the mess this guy made in Paris killing 50 people there and skating free. Well, Istanbul watch out! Here comes Brian.. And he doesn't give a crap who he kills.... Super man!

I recommend it if your a fan of the first movie. But don't get your hopes too high for this incredibly predictable movie.
