Again?

I really enjoyed the first Taken and was hoping that the second installment would top its predecessor and really wow me. I was, unfortunately, disappointed to see that Taken 2 was actually just the skeleton of the first film. The action was lackluster and fell incredibly short of the original's and kidnapping didn't have all the danger edge-of-your-seatness that the first had. My friends and I were very often laughing out loud at the film's ridiculousness. Despite its shortcomings, I would recommend Taken 2 as it was semi-enjoyable... I'd wait for DVD release though. Let's just hope Taken 3 isn't in the works.

Not Engaging

Though Liam is easy on the eyes for the ladies, I could not believe how the writers could not come up with a more suspenseful and believable plot. The Istanbul setting saved the movie. Did not do the genre justice.

This was an awesome movie with plenty of action. I would gladly see this movie again and again. I give this movie a 4 star rating!!!!!!

Disappointed

Maybe I expected too much because the first movie was so good, but this one didn't even come close. There were just too many unbelievable things happening. He's good, but no one is that good or that lucky. It just didn't ring true at all.

Not as violent as the first

Not as graphically violent as the first film but the fight scenes and story line was along the action theme. I loved the strength of the characters and the two sides of revenge, eye for eye life style.

I Loved Taken 2

I saw Taken multiple times in the theater. Thought it was a great movie. Taken 2 was just as great. I liked the way that they showed the continuation of the plot of Taken, yet the movie could have been a stand alone movie. It was indeed different enough so that you didn't feel you were watching the same movie over. Yet you could still recognize the mental mechanations of Neeson's character as he keeps his cool while being kidnapped.

Again, Neeson executes the role superbly and is very believable as the divorced retired CIA agent who tries to stay close to his daughter while continuing in the only line of work that he knows. I am a Liam Neeson fan, but would have loved the movie even if I wasn't.

This is a love story as well as an action flick. But if you like action flicks you should definately go see Taken 2.

nothing like the original

Taken 2 is an example of why sequels should never be made. Taken 2 offers nothing new that is worth seeing. A very slow beginning leads to a a vacation in a foreign country, something I think this family would avoid considering the original Taken. However the damaged teen in taken 2 seems much more in control. Somehow, in this movie, she is not at all emotionally and psychologically harmed from what happened to her. She becomes some kind of savant driver and helper to her father which makes the action this time around seem unconvincing. If you liked the gritty believable action delivered from the first Taken which had minimal poor acting, boring sequences avoid taken 2.

Good Movie, somethings wrong though.

You can predict a few parts, and what kind of confused me was that the "Albanians" were speaking Arabic... I thought they were "like" Russians?

Oh well.

If you liked Taken you will appreciate this one. It is a continuation of the first with the same action from an older actor. Unbelievable but so well done. In some respects it reminded me of "True Lies." Now the family really knows what he does.

I usually hate actions but I don't hate Taken 2 I despize it. One of the worst sequels ever not to mention an awful performance by not only Neeson but everyone sharing the screen with him

I love the first movie Taken. Taken 2 was almost as good. As for me I always think the first movie of any sequel is the best what I can say is they had the same actor play in Taken 2 which I like.

Taken 2 was Ok entertaining

My wife thought it was good and it's hard to keep her hooked during a movie.
The main bad guy was typical overblown mouth with not much else than an attitude. The bullets seemed limitless. Sounds like there's going to be a Part-3.

Great Movie, Lots of Action

This is one of Liam's best films. He does exceptionally well in this and for a rare occasion you see a little bit of humor from him at the end. Most of his roles are strictly gang bang and see yaaaaa. Well acted, fast paced, would see again....

Good movie, does not have the same impact as first movie. It is exciting and fast moving. I think it could have done more with storyline but I enjoyed it. Well worth going if you liked the first.
