Awesome!

I saw the first Taken and loved it. Liam Neeson brings it yet again in Taken 2 with a little help from his daughter, played by Maggie Grace. This film has all of the high energy, action, drama and humor of the first, but this time Maggie Grace gets in on the action. Due to the amount of violence in the movie I would not recommend taking anyone under 13. The plot was believable, the acting on point for the whole cast, and cinematography was muy bueno! Istanbul may see an increase in tourism as a result. This movie was AWESOME! Loved every minute of it. Looking forward to Taken 3?! Heck yeah! Some people say they prefer the first movie, but I say I'm Taken with Taken 2! Go see it, you won't regret it.

Taken 2 was Ok entertaining

My wife thought it was good and it's hard to keep her hooked during a movie.
The main bad guy was typical overblown mouth with not much else than an attitude. The bullets seemed limitless. Sounds like there's going to be a Part-3.

By far not the worst movie I have ever seen, but, even more so, not the best movie I've ever seen. If you saw (and liked) "Taken," you are likely to be disappointed by "Taken 2." There is obviously action, but there is simply something missing. I have not the slightest idea what is missing, but something is most definitely missing.

Bit cheesy ok

Poor special effects and a-team style car flips. Liam seem to be a complete control freak in the film which gets a little annoying. We saw as nothing else was on... was 'ok'.

Awesome!

This is definitely a fun movie to go watch. It doesn't live up to the 1st, yet, the story isn't bad at all. Liam is bad *** as usual, and his daughter in the film ACTUALLY has more than 5min. in the film and goes running around throwing grenades in the city.
More action than the 1st film, same concept, but still a great flick to watch.

Lots of action

I was skeptical about seeing "Taken 2" because I loved "Taken" so much and also because it got some negative critics' reviews. But I really enjoyed it. It's action packed and moves quickly. The car chase scene is great. I love Liam Neeson.

Can watch it once

I had reviewed Taken 2 movie in my blog (317cauvery in blogspot).

In my opinion, Taken 2 is better than Skyfall, for it has all the elements to call itself a Bond movie, but for the "My name is Bond" and the Bond's theme music.

I was not that taken by "Taken 2"

All sequels suffer the pains of trying to equal or surpass their original and most do not succeed. This movie fails to equal its original. The plot is very predictable, the acting is flat, even Liam himself looks bored. You can see in his face that he knows this movie is a failure but hey, it pays the bills so he did it anyway. I can't blame him. The villains die promptly as usual - it quickly became boring to watch. The attempts at humor were well just very sad and painful to see. So for these reasons I would save your money and not see this movie. And it pains me to give this movie a negative review because I am a major fan of Liam. However if you want some real Liam at his best in survival mode see "The Grey" and skip "Taken 2".

Much like the first one, But Still Entertaining

Liked the first one quite a bit. This is very similar to the first one, but still entertaining. They should probably stop here and not make a third though. How many times are you going to get "Taken"?

Good with some directorial flaws

Overall a good action flick. Acting is good. Liam, great! Maggie Grace is definitely an up and coming action actor and should be noticed along with her beauty. Problems with the direction were along the lines of bad attention to details (eg, Famke Janssen was upside down bleeding yet when the cover was removed from her head it looked like she hardly bled at all. It was rather ridiculous. But stilled liked all the actors and their performances.

Non-stop Action

If you liked Taken, you'll love Taken 2. More chases, more fights, more Liam doing what he does so well. I think it's a little violent for PG13 though. There is one scene especially that I wouldn't want my 13 year old to see. Once in your mind, some of these scenes can't be erased.

Good Action Movie! A simpler storyline, less twists and turns

Let me first say, I really liked the first Taken -- I appreciate a good PG-13 option for action movies without all the "extras" produces feel that they have to add. I thought it was interesting to see not only the storyline unfold with Liam's character, but also the intense time constraints you felt as you watched Liam try to find his daughter up against almost impossible odds.

The second Taken has much of the same "action" components as the first, and Liam certainly does a good job in that dept. I didn't feel the same ticking clock this time around, not the same level of urgency nor the work that Liam had to do to track down the "bad guys". While those components don't hurt this movie overall, they certainly are missed and make the second Taken less exciting and interesting as the first.

If you liked the first Taken, you'll like this one as well.

Very dissappointed when we arrived at theatre. We had bought 3 tickets online to ensure seating and when we got to theatre there was no seating left at all. This tells me that theatre show jumping may have happened. So we ended up having to go to another movie other that the one selscted. I will give hats off to the staff at this theatre for trying to accommodate us and they generally so a good job at ensuring ticketed customers enter, but with a busy holiday weekend I understand how difficult that may be to enforce. But on a general note, the shortage of seating due to the new renovation is very frustrating to find a show that deos not get sold old very early.

Not believable

Taken was so surprisingly different that it was a very good movie. Taken 2 on the other hand was predictable. Lots of action but the camera work was awful. The fight scenes were too close and choppy! Lots of action but not realistic, the script was just okay. I will recommend to wait for DVD to come out.

A Fun Ride

Strap on that handy suspension of disbelief because if you try to apply logic to anything that happens in Taken 2 you'll ruin the fun! Not quite as entertaining as the first and it takes a lot more winding up but once it get's going it doesn't stop until the last bad guy is dead. Bryan Mills hands out bullets and beatings with equal skill and ferocity. Never start a fight you can't finish!
