If you loved the first movie, you'll LOVE the 2nd. My 14 year old daughter said she wants to be just like Liam Neeson in the movie when she grows up...lol

Plot Recycling For The Short Attention Span Crowd.

Lots of action here, although they do cheat a lot with Neeson's fight scenes, speeding them up to near visual imperceptivity. Guess that stems from his old age, yet still relatively youthful appearance. Anyway, who in their right mind would criticize the man who spoke those epic film words: "Release the Kraken?" This isn't a bad movie, it's just pretty much the same movie as its namesake. The first one worked well, so guess they must have figured, "why fix it if it ain't broke." This movie's good for a two hour respite from reality, provided of course your life's absent high speed car chases, excessive brutal physical and gun violence, and the seemingly loving yet comically unbroken..broken marriage. It should follow that leaving the kiddies home for this one is advised. Otherwise, see it. It's worth its ticket price.

Ehhhh

Yes I was entertained, but NO this is not a good movie. Unbelievably far fetched at times with a stupid ending. I give it a 6 out of 10.

Great actionm movie

If you saw the first one you will also enjoy this one although it is very much the same except different people being taken. But still lots of action and worth seeing.

GREAT, action thriller hes his uaual laid back self, untill it comes to his daughter and this time its his ex-wife and daughter. I truely loved the movie. I say Encore , Encore so, Im there for Encore-Taken 3.

Disappointed

Maybe I expected too much because the first movie was so good, but this one didn't even come close. There were just too many unbelievable things happening. He's good, but no one is that good or that lucky. It just didn't ring true at all.

Totally disappointed!! I loved TAKEN, so my expectations were high, but this movie doesn't even come close. I understand why character development wasn't really required here...we already know the players, but NONE....don't think so!! If the rest of the movie was great, I'd forgive that, but in general, the movie was disconnected, implausible and insults our intelligence, just to name a few. Chase scenes are utterly riduclous including the fact that the car doesn't even get damaged!!! Also, the bizarre phone call he makes to his daughter early on....you'll know what I mean when you see it!! It almost seemed to be like the writers didn't even try...they knew we TAKEN fans would come out anyway. Oddly, even the acting wasn't great...wait til it comes out on DVD...don't waste the $...sorry Liam...I had high hopes!!

Take 2 Take a Pass

This movie had potential, but the characters and plot needed further development. The ending was a dud! It is short and almost whole story was told in first 45 minutes. if you see trailer or commercial you most of the move. Take a pass in this one unless you have nothing to do.

TAKEN 2 was better then the Skyfall movie

I saw 2 movies this wkend, Nov.9th and 11th. I saw this movie and thought it was great movie, then I went to see Skyfall. I was very disappointed in that movie. Skyfall was very slow, and Taken 2 had alot more action.

If you love action flicks, this is the movie for you. it is non-stop, edge of the seat, excitement. my heart was pumping and blood pressure rising the entire movie. This isn't going to win Best Picture. But if there was an academy award for Best Action Flick this is a finalist. Neeson is at his best.

A thrill ride

This is not an exaggeration:
The movie is so suspenseful and thrilling that the guy next to me started sweating and I could smell his body odor.

Yes, some of it is unrealistic, but who cares. It was awesome!

better than the first

this one had a little bit more drama but very predictable withch i was mad about cause the point of movies like this are to have a little suspence but other than that a good movie. PG-13 is a good rating for this movie cause there is a little sexuallity but nothing R. i think there could be a third one but i would wait a little so the price of tickets goes down. to understand this one you have to whatch the first one witch is good cause so things that might have not made sense in the first get kinda resolved in this one. there are some funny parts in his one unlike the first where everything was all serious. maybe now is a god time to see this movie seeing that tickets have gone down. i hoped this helped.

Great movie!!

My hubby and I are huge fans of the first movie, Taken. We went to see Taken 2 this past Friday, and it was very good. Action packed, good story line, although we both thought the first one was much better. Still a good choice to see!

Not bad

Nice tie in with the 1st one, a nice balance of action. plotline. May not have you on the edge of your seat like the 1st but nonetheless its a worthy watch.
