Great movie!!

My hubby and I are huge fans of the first movie, Taken. We went to see Taken 2 this past Friday, and it was very good. Action packed, good story line, although we both thought the first one was much better. Still a good choice to see!

better than the first

this one had a little bit more drama but very predictable withch i was mad about cause the point of movies like this are to have a little suspence but other than that a good movie. PG-13 is a good rating for this movie cause there is a little sexuallity but nothing R. i think there could be a third one but i would wait a little so the price of tickets goes down. to understand this one you have to whatch the first one witch is good cause so things that might have not made sense in the first get kinda resolved in this one. there are some funny parts in his one unlike the first where everything was all serious. maybe now is a god time to see this movie seeing that tickets have gone down. i hoped this helped.

Don't waste your time or money

This movie is nothing like Taken, it is kill, kill, kill. The plot is so predictable and the action is so Hollywood repeat, you have seen this same movie over and over and over again. Just don't waste your time, the movie is just not worth the effort and it is an effort. We almost left half way through, what a terrible movie.

Great Movie!

My hubby and I really enjoyed seeing this movie especially after seeing Taken. It was suspenseful and had some life lessons that anyone with a family worth fighting for can learn.

And kim returns the favor!

When i first heard about taken 2 i thought it was going to be dumb but now that i've seen it i actually enjoyed it a lot! It's kimd of the same thimg as the first one but i LOVED the first one so more of the same thing was no preoblem for me. I felt this one kim (maggie grace) had a lot bigger part which i enjoyed and i won't spoil anything but lets just say she's following her dads footsteps!. Liam neeson is the same old liam neeson that weve grown to love so that was expected but this was a all around fun sequel 8.5/10

Taken 2 is 2nd rate

The original was intense with plot build up about prostitute rings and dad's (Brian) intense scenes to save his daughter. The sequel had too many over the top scenes with mom (Lenny) and daughter (Kim) and very little plot development, other than Liam's daughter (Kim) new romance with a California boyfriend. What makes it worse, is the ending left open a Taken 3!

The first one was better only because you can't do the same thing in 2 movies and expect the second one to get rated as high as the first.

The plot was not the best. His ex wife should have been killed.

Since Bourne everybody has their own one man gang taking on the bad guys.

At least in Man on Fire the main character died. I know it was based on a true story.

Stop making all these super human one man gang movies.

You've seen one you practically seen them all.

Worth it

This was pretty good. Not necessarily as good as the first one. But action packed and still good. If you saw the first you should see this one. It was good!

TAKEN 2 was better then the Skyfall movie

I saw 2 movies this wkend, Nov.9th and 11th. I saw this movie and thought it was great movie, then I went to see Skyfall. I was very disappointed in that movie. Skyfall was very slow, and Taken 2 had alot more action.

I want to see it again

This movie was everything I want less a bit more action from him. I love hearing him speak and seeing him kick but. Just recent seen him in an interview and realized it wasn't his natural voice. Anyway the movie was so good as part 2 but I hope they start part 3 now because the villian has two son's left so you know a part 3 is coming. He seems to be a bit slower so part three should be soon.

Much like the first one: bad***

This was definitely a predictable movie, but that doesn't take away how fun it is to see Liam Neeson Kick a bunch of ass. The plot in the this movie is pretty thin: bad guy's dad is pissed that Liam Neeson killed his bad guy son, so he decides to try and torture/kill all of Liam Neeson's family. Seems like a fair trade, right?

Great Sequel!

Great movie! I think they did an amazing job making this movie. Has all the cool tricks that Liam Neeson's character knows from his "particular set of skills." And of course all the ass-kicking that was in the first one as well. I thought the acting was just good but the story continuing from the first movie was well written in my opinion. I think anyone who is a Liam Neeson fan and a fan of the first Taken, will like Taken 2.

Some Likability, but Cliche and Semi-Absurd

The former CIA agent who's daughter was kidnapped before decides that Istanbul would be a nice place for a short family vacation. Seriously? Was the Gaza Strip booked? Okay, who cares, right? Let's get to the action. I've got this superspy; I'll tie him up with plastic band and take a nap. He got out? His daughter (29! in real life ) is just getting her driver's license and spending time with a boyfriend, flies through Istanbul crowded streets smashing into cop cars with no damage to her own car. The bad guy, think world's most interesting man, has lines like John Belushi in Blues Brothers at the French restaurant ("How much for your children"). "I will sell your daughter to the lowest bidder....She will be like a piece of meat...I'm going to send you home..in pieces (ha ha)." He generates neither fear nor hatred and needs grand ritualistic torture to extend Liam's opportunities. Still, there's Liam, heroic, fighting 3-4 men at a time, so likable, a caring father. And Kim, in a bikini.

Good sequel

Good sequel, not great. Wife and I both like Liam Neeson, and support cast. Plot seemed a little too, I hate to use the word, predictabe. But didn't you see that coming? Suspense, action, good shoot em up. All the things we wanted. Just not as good as the first one.
