    Realistic Expectations

    I have heard criticism about this movie from friends saying things like plot and character decisions just dont make sense and writing is poorly done, and all i have to say is that if you go to a Taken sequel, why the hell are you going to it expecting good plot and character writing?? Go and see this movie to see Liam Neeson get head shots and break necks, just like we did when we saw the first Taken. There are no plot twists, revelations, or deep meanings to this movie/plot, just pure, unadulterated *** kicking by obi wan kenobi himself.

    A little slow getting started but once it picked up steam, the action was pretty constant. Not quite as good as Taken but close. Worth the price of admission, glad I went. Would like to see the characters developed more. GO

    Perfect Movie

    One again, Liam Neeson did it again. This movie is the besttt.. Action from beginning to end. Fantastic movie just like the first one. Looovee all about it.

    I was not that taken by "Taken 2"

    All sequels suffer the pains of trying to equal or surpass their original and most do not succeed. This movie fails to equal its original. The plot is very predictable, the acting is flat, even Liam himself looks bored. You can see in his face that he knows this movie is a failure but hey, it pays the bills so he did it anyway. I can't blame him. The villains die promptly as usual - it quickly became boring to watch. The attempts at humor were well just very sad and painful to see. So for these reasons I would save your money and not see this movie. And it pains me to give this movie a negative review because I am a major fan of Liam. However if you want some real Liam at his best in survival mode see "The Grey" and skip "Taken 2".

    Even Better than the First

    I love Liam and see everything he's in so I was expecting Taken 2 to be good but was pleasantly surprised that it was even better than the first. It's usually hard for a movie to match up to it's first, but this one is more complex, has alot of action and no slow moments. You can't guess what's going to happen and won't want to let your eyes leave the screen. Excellent movie all around.

    And kim returns the favor!

    When i first heard about taken 2 i thought it was going to be dumb but now that i've seen it i actually enjoyed it a lot! It's kimd of the same thimg as the first one but i LOVED the first one so more of the same thing was no preoblem for me. I felt this one kim (maggie grace) had a lot bigger part which i enjoyed and i won't spoil anything but lets just say she's following her dads footsteps!. Liam neeson is the same old liam neeson that weve grown to love so that was expected but this was a all around fun sequel 8.5/10

    a good ride

    Aside from some of the geographic improbabilities, Taken 2 offered better than average action flick excitement. Granted, I could not imagine how someone could traverse Istanbul the way Liam Neeson's character does and not end up in the Sea of Marmara, but the story was tight and the action kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire movie.

    Not nearly as good as the first one

    The movie was full of action but the story line was forced a bit to much in order to link this movie to the first Taken movie (Taken 1 was great BTW). Also, some of the situations in the movie were completely implausible and unrealistic, which negatively impacted my experience with the movie overall; Example, where in the world could you throw grenades on housing rooftops, in a very populated city I might add, and at no time did any police, neighbor, pedestrian or homeowner ever come by to check it out what all the explosions were about? Even James Bond movies will throw in a bit of reality of life limitations into their movie situations. Anyway, the movie was entertaining but not nearly as good as the first one and I think you would be better served waiting until the DVD comes out.

    Rather predictable sequence of events, but great car chases and action scenes. Only see it if you're a die hard Liam Neeson fan, but otherwise, wait for it to hit Netflix and/or Pay-Per-View.

    A so-so follow up to the original

    When I watched the original "Taken," there was hardly anything happening that required me to suspend my disbelief because I could believe that everything I saw could happen. Taken 2 tries to take the original to the next level, but all it does is make the movie seem convoluted. I'm also disappointed in the excessive use of shaky hand-held cameras that fail to capture the action when Liam Neeson starts beating everybody.

    Disappointment (taken 2)

    This taken can not hold a candle to part 1. If anyone has seen part 1, you would notice all the flaws in part 2.
    Honestly the only good part of the movie was when the daughter was following the direction of her father.
    For one the action was far too limited. there was way too many camera tricks that you could not even see what was going on.

    Overall the movie was bland. And based off of grades, I would give it an "F"... a "D-" if I didnt watch part 1.

    "Taken" for a ride with this one...

    Marko from Tropoje and his family are the most incompetent criminals of all time!!!!! This movie succeeds not because its a good action movie, it hits peaks and valleys there. It succeeds because of the kooky events that transpire. "Kim, your mother is about to be taken...and in a minute so am i"...while pointing a gun at the kidnapper. too funny.

    I liked the movie, was entertaining & fast paced. I did however compare it to Taken 1 and felt that the 1st movie was much better. I guess its always hard to beat the Original movie script.

    A little bit of the first in the second

    The movie as a whole is good. Bottom line. But it wasn't a far stretch from the first one though. Play em back to back and you'll just get a continuation of the first one. Worth the time to see in the theater!
