    Good sequel, and better than I expected. I always worry if a sequel will be able to live up to the hype that the first movie produced, and I am happy to say that this did. I will not go as far as saying that it is better than the first, however the plot line, action sequences, and acting are very good. My attention was caught from the very beginning and I enjoyed the actual development of characters from the first movie to this movie. The only negatives I would give is that the movie is a bit predictable, and while the ending technically left an opening for a third movie, I think any further sequels may end up really stretching the plot thin and not doing the series justice. Overall a must see if you like the first Taken and are a fan of Liam Neeson.

    Solid Movie but not real ground breaking

    Overall this was a solid movie but not ground breaking like the first one. I really thought they could have done more with the story to make this a MUST GO but overall a solid movie.

    Taken 2 my point of view

    Liam Neeson is great as an action actor. Movie has great action scenes.
    Altough sometimes fight scenes were too close to appreciate the moves.
    Overall the movie was good, it kept me on the edge of my seat most of the time......

    Taken 2 - An Amazing Adventure

    A very suspenseful, hold on to the edge of your seat movie. While we always think a sequel is tough to match the original, this one surely did. A must see for those who like Liam Neeson and enjoy the thrill of an exciting movie.

    Full of action but as a bit overdone.

    The movie is a great action movie, however it is a little too unrealistic. Mr. Neeson seems like he is against a very professional and ruthless Albanian mafia but he doesnt even get wounded at all, seriously. As a person who was born and lived in Europe for many years I know how well trained and ruthless the Albanian mafia is so very unrealistic. On the other side in Istambul there is no US Embassy so dont know how the movie director decided to make the audience uneducated by making Neeson to go to the US Embassy in Istambul, Turkey. Albanian Mafia has overtaken control of old Italian and Russian mafia in drug, prostitution and gun control all over the Europe and they are much more trained than appeared in the movie, trust me. I think at the end the movie leave the expression that there will be another movie Taken 3 since Marko's dad at the end says that he has two more sons and they will try to get revenge, and Albanians always must get revenge it is in their culture

    The movies was ok, i enjoyed part 1 better. To me the movie was all meat no filler, some people like this myself i like a lil story. It was jus straight to the point. In my opinion they just threw this together to capitalize off of what they missed out on the 1st go around!

    Taken 2

    We spent our date night taking in this flick, and we were both disappointed. Predictable plot, questionable or awkward acting at times, so very unrealistic and contrived. I like Liam Neeson, but I wish this movie somehow engaged my mind or left me pondering some greater purpose. What I did enjoy were the shots of Istanbul and the small peek into the culture; I think I wanted more of the culture. I can't recommend this one.

    Another nail biter. This is one of the rare times that a sequel is as good or better than the 1st movie. I would definitely see it again.

    Liam Nelson good actor

    I watched Taken 1 and watched Taken 2, I liked Taken 1 much better. Taken 2 is alot of gun slaying, hitting, car chasing, etc. The story line was ok, but i prefer Taken 1.

    It's ok

    Taken 2 was an ok movie. It was highly predictable and the plot was very weak. However, I wanted to see Liam Neeson kick a bunch of bad guy's buts, so it got the job done in that aspect. If you are expecting the movie to be on par or better than the first Taken you will be upset. Just go into it knowing it is a fun, shoot em up kill everyone type of movie with a weak story and forced dialogue and you will be fine.

    If You Liked the First One

    I can't think of a sequel that was ever as good as the first. Taken was a great movie and Taken 2 is almost as good. Neeson is in Turkey on a job when his ex-wife and daughter surprise him and they decide to spend a few days in the city together. What they don't know is the father of one of the Albanias he killed in the first movie is after him to avenge his son's death and they plan to kidnap all three of them, but can't find the daughter after Neeson tips her off. The rest of the movie deals with him and his wife being able to get away or not. I won't reveal anymore, because I think you need to go see for yourselves. Lots of action, and keeps your attention just like the first one.

    Not As Good As The Original

    The build up to the action took about 30 minutes but as soon as it started, it was non stop. I just didn't like how it was the daughter, without a drivers license, that drove through the tight city streets like a professional.. I mean, that was more comedy than drama.. for me that was the disappointing part of the flick. All in all, I give it 6.5 out of 10.. Will I rent or buy the DVD? Only to add it to the original version as part of the collection but probably would not watch it again.

    Decent

    Definitely enjoyed it. Vintage Liam Neeson. Could have been a lot better had the producers added more effects driven action.

    Definitely nowhere near as good as the original, but I wasn't expecting it to be. The original will forever remain a classic.

    It was good. It was difficult to manage 2 rescues plus getting all the bad guys inside the time limit, but it got done. Unlike most sequels, it was good. I hope though that little gate at the end leaving an opening for a 3rd closes unless they work a new take on it. Cast was great!
