Do not waste your money or time

I have been waiting for this movie to release since July 2012 and I am extremely disappointed. The movie almost seemed as if it was low budget. In no way was it as good as the first Taken. I should've waited until it came out on DVD.

Get taken again!

Liam kicks butt again! This time around, he and his ex-wife get taken and the daughter has to perform some heroic acts to free them from the revenge-focused Albanians he assaulted in the first film. However, Liam is the main attraction and most of her actions are setup to free him and not much else. Once he gets loose, Liam unleashes all of his mano-a-mano skills to drive each of them to their knees (at least shortly before killing them). Anyway, the formula still works. My only criticism of the film is that he doesn?t do as much damage this time around as he did in the first one. There?s a great car chase scene through narrow Turkish streets that reminded me of the Bourne movie. Still, there?s no reason to believe that you won?t enjoy this film if you enjoyed the original Taken. I did and (spoiler alert!) this one sets up nicely for a third one.

Very good movie

This movie is a must see if you like great action. Most of all was the twist it had from the first movie. I kind of have a feeling there will be a Taken 3 but I hope not. You can only take the storyline so far. It should stop here. I was very pleased with this movie and will definetly buy it when it comes out on Blu-Ray.

This is the same non-stop action as the first movie. They kept the exact cast and the plot is still semi believable. I thought it was as good as the original, if not better. No surprises here, just good, well coreographed stunts and a great chase scene in Turkey. Woo hoo.

Very good!

I was thinking twice about yet another ''2" version, as the first movie was right on. You will not be disappointed the second one was just as entertaining.

Great Movie!

My hubby and I really enjoyed seeing this movie especially after seeing Taken. It was suspenseful and had some life lessons that anyone with a family worth fighting for can learn.

I loved the first movie so much I was scared I would be disappointed by the sequel. I loved 2 and Liam Neeson is always great. The whole thing with him guiding his daughter to his whereabouts was a little over the top, but fun nonetheless.

Good sequel

Good sequel, not great. Wife and I both like Liam Neeson, and support cast. Plot seemed a little too, I hate to use the word, predictabe. But didn't you see that coming? Suspense, action, good shoot em up. All the things we wanted. Just not as good as the first one.

Taken 2 is 2nd rate

The original was intense with plot build up about prostitute rings and dad's (Brian) intense scenes to save his daughter. The sequel had too many over the top scenes with mom (Lenny) and daughter (Kim) and very little plot development, other than Liam's daughter (Kim) new romance with a California boyfriend. What makes it worse, is the ending left open a Taken 3!

Liam Neeson is so good and so are the two female supporting acctresses. This movie was as good as the first if not better. Great action and characters.

Defies Sequels Reputation

Producers took a good movie and expanded it into a sequel. And this time it worked quite well. While the first 1/2 hour was sort of sleepy, once the action began, it was a thrill ride to the end. A few flashbacks from the original Taken were presented to refresh our memories (or to inform the non-viewers of the original) were at a minimum but became helpful in recalling the original victims. Lots of action and script was plausible. Good show.

Not As Good As the First Movie

This movie picks up where the first movie ends. This makes some of the things that occurred in the movie unbelievable. Frankly, given the events of the first movie, extensive therapy should have been required for several characters. The action was just as good as in the first movie, but the story wasn't as plausible. The plot seemed to be underdeveloped and served merely as a segue into the action scenes. If you were a fan of the first movie you may be disappointed. If you were merely a fan of the action in the first movie, then by all means go and see this one.

It was alright. It provides Liam Neeson kicking a lot of ass, his daughter helping out, but it doesn't pull you in as much as the first. I would rate it as a wait for dvd.

This is more of the same. It's not an awful movie; it's just predictable. Liam Neeson is good, as he always is. Famke Janssen is also really good as his ex-wife. There are plenty of evil guys to root against. It's all not very original, though. And they leave a door wide open for "Taken 3".

Not believable

Taken was so surprisingly different that it was a very good movie. Taken 2 on the other hand was predictable. Lots of action but the camera work was awful. The fight scenes were too close and choppy! Lots of action but not realistic, the script was just okay. I will recommend to wait for DVD to come out.
