Good Action Flick

Not as good as the first one, only because it is a bit predictable. Also, a bit more of a chick flick this time. Still, good story and Liam Neeson is really good, as usual.

This was a very good movie. I enjoyed the action and the connection to the first Taken movie. I would watch it again. Liam Neeson did not disappoint!!

As Good As The First!

Sequels that match or succeed the first installment are rare but Taken 2 definitely delivered very well. Just like the first, it started off slow but once it got going, it went HAM and didn't let up. This was a great movie!

You may love the first one better but you have never seen anything like this! An action packed film filled with a vengeance! Don't mess with LIam Neeson (Bryan Mills).

Should this b the end of sequels

Somehow I feel the this movie tainted the first one. The movie started slow and continued slowly. Action was crisp but not captivating. I only counted two inconsistencies but they were very obvious. I won't b adding this to the home collection.

To be honest, although, I am a fan of the fiirst Taken, there were scenes which got a little boring and predictable. There was not enough action such as the torture scenes involving Liam. He escaped too easily & they all lived happily ever after. Overall, movie not as interesting or entertaining as the first one. I rate it a 7.0 out of 10...... Definitely, a so-so! Safe for pre-teens to watch, although, some violence.

If you love action flicks, this is the movie for you. it is non-stop, edge of the seat, excitement. my heart was pumping and blood pressure rising the entire movie. This isn't going to win Best Picture. But if there was an academy award for Best Action Flick this is a finalist. Neeson is at his best.

Great actionm movie

If you saw the first one you will also enjoy this one although it is very much the same except different people being taken. But still lots of action and worth seeing.

Awesome!

I saw the first Taken and loved it. Liam Neeson brings it yet again in Taken 2 with a little help from his daughter, played by Maggie Grace. This film has all of the high energy, action, drama and humor of the first, but this time Maggie Grace gets in on the action. Due to the amount of violence in the movie I would not recommend taking anyone under 13. The plot was believable, the acting on point for the whole cast, and cinematography was muy bueno! Istanbul may see an increase in tourism as a result. This movie was AWESOME! Loved every minute of it. Looking forward to Taken 3?! Heck yeah! Some people say they prefer the first movie, but I say I'm Taken with Taken 2! Go see it, you won't regret it.

can't replace the first movie

I was entertained the entire time, the story line was not as great as the first though. There is definitely a lot more action in this one which I'm sure men will enjoy, but the only downer for me was that never in the entire movie did I think Liam Neeson was going to lose. There was never that "Is he going to make it?" or "the bad guys might actually win"

Original is better; but Taken 2 is good.

I watched "Taken 2" last week. By and large, it's a good action film, not great. Liam Neeson and his character's family is good. He can still kick you know what. It is rather nice to see how someone who has revenge feelings to get back at someone aren't always satisfactory. Why do people want to take on Liam Neeson?! He's great on screen.

It was a shell of the original. The fight scenes were mediocre and you didn't get the feeling of justified gratuitous violence the original gave you. It was the same let down you get from reading a great book then watching a weak movie adaptation. The motivation to see him lay waste to a gang of scumbags was replaced by watching him beating up actors or stuntmen. When he escaped from his captors it didn't take any real ingenuity just some conveniently place elements that anyone with a brain and a green belt in karate could escape from. I almost felt bad for the actors playing Albanians. I don't know why they made this movie other than a trip to Istanbul and an incredibly inexpensive budget. I don't think it costs much to destroy a couple cars, blow up a couple grenades, and shoot a couple boxes of ammo. Nice hotel though and pretty fly over shots they kept reusing.

GREAT, action thriller hes his uaual laid back self, untill it comes to his daughter and this time its his ex-wife and daughter. I truely loved the movie. I say Encore , Encore so, Im there for Encore-Taken 3.

Good, but not great!

Basically the film starts where it left off from the first "Taken". You would think ex wife and daughter learn from their previous situation, but no. They manage to get into the same situation, but with a little twist. During that time off from the previous movie, Liam Neeson's character was able to hone his mapping skills using just his watch, listening for nearby auditory cues, and have someone else (I won't say who) throw random grenades. I wouldn't have mind watching this when it comes out on BluRay, but it was okay.

Taken 2 is fun to watch!

I LOVED the first Taken movie, and also very much enjoyed Taken 2. Even though the first was better -- Taken 2 is still lots of fun to watch. Taken 2 is totally driven by its predecessor movie, so it helps to have seen the prior movie. I thought Liam Neeson was great as the devoted dad (Bryan) who still wants to get back with his ex-wife. I thought the Istanbul scenes were very good and authentic. Maggie Grace was cute again as Kim. She is a little edgier now with her new boyfriend, so at least she is a little more mature in this new movie. The only part I didn't like was the final fight scene against a pudgy, short bad guy -- Bryan and this guy had no running animosity or ongoing issue so I don't understand why the director would have Bryan's final fight scene against this pudgy guy. Other than that, I enjoyed the movie very much.
