    Worth Seeing, But Not the Best Die Hard

    I liked this movie but it doesn't compare to the earlier Die Hards. The plot is far fetched (how does a NY cop get away with delving into the spy game?), and the first third of the movie felt slow with not the expected level of action. I also don't favor movies with subtitles, which this did for the opening segments. The action in the second half was typical Die Hard and great.
    Definitely go and will be good in the DVD collection.

    Bruce Willis still has it

    I think it would be hard to give this movie a bad review. It has a lot of the classic Die Hard momentum and action that makes this series one of the best for action.

    John teams up with his son to unravel a conspiracy in Russia. John spends his vacation dodging bullets and killing the bad guys to attain a secret file that can bring down a war lord.

    There is no question that this is a blockbuster hit! Maybe keep the kids at home but enjoy the flick--its a good one.

    A good day to Die Hard

    OMG!! I loved this movie it was fun to watch and it was action packed. Bruce Willis looked really good for his age. I think this movoie can join my collection of Die Hard movies. It was amazing. My mother was very excited to see it and she loved it. Go see it will be a action packed and it will keep you watching.

    Very disappointing

    I am a huge Bruce Willis fan and loved the original Die Hard's when they came out. We saw this movie opening night, and quite frankly, it is dull

    SAVE YOUR $MONEY$ and your time

    This probably was Bruce Willis's worst movie. The plot was ridiculous, Bruce Willis's character seemed like it was thrown into the script at the last minute . The screenplay was horrible.
    It just seemed like Bruce was looking to earn a cool $20 million payday to make a horrible flick.
    Save your money, you won't be disappointed.

    The movie was good, but certainly not his best. Some of the action scenes were totally unrealistic but if you remind yourself that it only a movie for entertainment and anything is possible then it was ok. Worth seeing just didn't meet the bar set by previous Die Hards.

    Big disappointment

    I am a big fan of the Die Hard series, and Bruce Willis in particular. But this one doesn't hold a candle to the others and I was very disappointed. Aside from the spectacular action scenes there is no real reason to see the movie. There is virtually no plot, very little suspense, and the characters aren't very appealing. Even the action scenes I found hard to watch, with the jittery camera angle I actually felt nauseous at times. The action would have been more compelling if they had used different camera angles. Two thumbs down, in fact make that four thumbs down (my date didn't care for it either). Yippe ki yah!

    It Was Okay

    There was a lot of action in the movie, which was entertaining. However, I didn't understand the storyline nor did I know what was going on and/or why. At one point, I had to ask myself, what's going on but was still entertained.

    Better than the last one

    I was afraid this would be a repeat of Live Free or Die Hard, which I considered a miserable failure of bad story line, and even worse CGI.

    I was happily wrong. Much better quality CGI this time. I wouldn't call it quite as good as the first 3 movies, but a lot stronger story than the 4th. There really isn't much of a link to the previous movies(then again there never were in the others really), but it's a good shoot-em-up movie with lots of action, and a decent if somewhat dead-end with no background plot.

    There is ONE thing that bothers me though. At the end of the movie, why was the plane surrounded by police cars and guys with rifles? That made no sense at all.

    Excellent action film, but way-way too short for a Bruce Willis film. Maybe he's just getting too old to do these films any more. Are you ready to retire Bruce?

    Should have stopped at 4

    What a huge waste of time,its time to retire the franchise. Wodden actors in over the top roles
    car,tank.plane,copter chases that don't get resolved.If you are a fan of "Die Hard'" see it,if a Bruce Willis fan seeit,otherwise stay home

    McClane is Back!

    If your a Die Hard fan this movie is for you. Hell, if your an action junkie than this movie is for you. Start to Finish this is a Top notch performance from all actors! Bruce hasnt lost his touch as McClane! Crackin jokes and smartass comments almost always at the worst times making the theater laugh out loud (which is always great) , shootin the bad guys and getting dirty and bloody! and yes his Trademark Y.K.Y.M is in this film. GREAT MOVIE

    McClane!

    I was pumped to see this latest installment fo the Die Hard franchise, and this movie more than lived up to my expectations. The movie doesn't have the original's charm and character development, but it doesn't need it: with Willis' established presence as the "run in without a plan, guns blazing" John McClane, we just need lots of explosions, property damage, and an against the odds scenario, which the movie delivers with a bang.

    Fun

    Most people who want to see a Die Hard movie aren't looking for a brilliant bit of cinematography or deeply moving dialogue. We watch Die Hard movies because things crash, smash and blow up, and because John McClane is awesome. A Good Day to Die Hard is a lot of fun. There are crashes, smashes, and explosions galore. John McClane is still awesome. While it may not be vital piece of cinema history, it was most definitely an enjoyable, entertaining way to spend a couple hours.
