A Good Day to Die Hard

    by ssmcgee

I thought this was fantastic. The special effects was amazing. Over 100 cars destroyed.
Bruce Willis has always been my favorite since Moonlighting with Sybil Sheppard. He always
(no matter what movie) has a comedic tone and expression. This is a must see if you like action films.

    big disappointment

    by

If you're looking for anything like the first movie look elsewhere. The character lacks realism at this point, and they're just exploiting it for the sake of making a buck. should have stopped at three. John Maclaine is there to save the day again but this time for Mother Russia? It was overdone, and they were trying too much. There is plenty of action and explosions, but it wasn't the enjoyable kind. It was just to blow something up. Characters lacked substance, and there wasn't much chemistry between father and son. This is the kind of movie that when it comes out is going to be on Starz, not even Cinemax. Visually there was some good stuff but the whole movie left me feeling unfulfilled.

Good Day to Watch the Cars Crunch

one of the best movies I've seen that has cars being destroyed in chase scenes. It was totally worth the price of the admission just to see the car crunch scenes.

Was pretty good, lots of action, good testosterone rush

That had to have been one of the most expensive chase scenes, due to the number of cars getting trashed, that Hollyweird has ever produced. I gate up counting when it went over 210, and the chase went on after that point. I just couldn't keep up.

Willis delivers his usual "nice guy able to wreck your world if necessary" image, this time taking down a couple of Ruskie bad-guys, and the daughter of one of them. There are enough twists to keep your attention.

It was pretty fun with lots of machine gun fire. Not the best movie I've seen but it was worth the $5 matinee price and getting in out of the weather :)

    OMG Boring

For all the action in this movie it was one of the most boring movies I have seen in a long time. I LOVE Bruce Willis, but OMG this was bad. Nothing happens in it. The first Die Hard was a really good movie, good plot, great actors, interesting. As they went on they got sillier and sillier. Number 4 was not bad at all, but this one, not even silly.

    Wait for Home Viewing

I have seen all of the movies in the series. This movie was just like playing CoD 4. Watch it and you will see what I mean (don't want to put in spoilers).

Pro: Plenty of action scenes and loud noises
Con: This one really digressed from the original series with lack of plot and balance of realistic action scenes with feelings of true despair.

I wouldn't see it in theaters, but would rent it.

    It needed help..

Simple plot... but maybe a little too simple. This felt like a made for tv movie.. missing that old school die hard feel. I was disappointed. Yes, the action scenes were cool but it kinda made the characters feel like they were Marvel superheros in training.. Idk.. what happened~

A bad way to end Bruce Willis' series of Die Hard

This movie was lackluster at best when held in comparison to the rest of the "Die Hard" series. I believe this is an attempt at the movie industry moving on to a new actor while maintaining the "Die Hard" fans and story line.

First little to no explanation as to why John "Jack" McClain Jr. has never been brought up in the other series so a giant plot hole there. Second none of the trademark Die Hard Bruce Willis antics in this film. No "Yippie Cayay Mother..." and no witty banter with the bad guy. From the beginning it feels like this new character is running the show and Bruce is along for the ride.

Would I see it again? Only on cable TV if the info-mercials on the other channels were all in a foreign language. The action wasn't bad, just didn't like the story.

A Good Day To Die Hard

    by mechare

As a 5th installment to a franchise this movie could definately have sucked, but John McClain rides again in Russia. The movie was good, without a bunch of crappy CGI effects that might have looked fakely spectacular but not delivered the same impact that the previous Die Hard Movies had. If I had to rank them the first and the fourth movies are still my favorite. I was really hoping that Justing Long would pop up in this movie because I loved him and McClain together in the last movie. If you are looking for a good action movie go see this, you'll like it and it is a satisfying addition to the series.

Die Hard original still the best

    by fyk

do not waste your money. wait for the DVD or download or free. No real story and Bruce Willis looks very tired, but he still can dodge a few thousand rounds of bullets. might as well see the marvel super heros, at least that is true fantasy.

    What happened

It's like the people who made this movie had not seen any of the previous Die Hards. Gone was any of the wit, light touches, irony and relishing over triumph that made them and John Maclane fun to watch and interesting. This was a big bore, overlong pointless car chases, helicopter strafings, and the best they could do was have Willis repeat over and over, I'm on vacation -- which wasn't even accurate. A real disappointment.

Probably the worst Die Hard movie - but it has its moments

    by msack00

OK, spoiler alert: The plot is weak at best and some of the action scenes are so far fetched that it borders on unbelievable. It's also very predictable. Bruce Willis got old - but he can still deliver the lines and all in all it's fun to see him try to continue the role. I

'd wait for it to be on HBO.

    Not Good

No chemistry between father and son..No chemisty build-up between good and bad guy. Terrible soap opera between father and son. Bruce didn't have good lines to deliver. Doesn't live up to past die hards. I didn't hate the villan like in previous die hard movies. Was no balance of action and humor. Just the over-the-top stuff which was entertaining, but missed the cowboy hero. The trailer tells the whole story and saves times and money.

If you aren't a fan of the series, this will NOT hook you.

    by

Saw the movie Friday with a group of friends. The story is in the tradition of the Die Hard movies- a thin thing that moves you from one set of bullets, chases, and explosions to another. If you already are a fan of the series, this one does not disappoint. If you aren't a big fan, you may want to pass and find something else to do.

It's Still Great to Die Hard!!!!

Great non-stop action. Die Hard franchise has done it again. I hope they have another one soon. Jai Courtney is very good and Bruce Willis is still great. Must see film!!!!
