    Bruce Willis still has it

I think it would be hard to give this movie a bad review. It has a lot of the classic Die Hard momentum and action that makes this series one of the best for action.

John teams up with his son to unravel a conspiracy in Russia. John spends his vacation dodging bullets and killing the bad guys to attain a secret file that can bring down a war lord.

There is no question that this is a blockbuster hit! Maybe keep the kids at home but enjoy the flick--its a good one.

A Good Day to Die Hard

    by ssmcgee

I thought this was fantastic. The special effects was amazing. Over 100 cars destroyed.
Bruce Willis has always been my favorite since Moonlighting with Sybil Sheppard. He always
(no matter what movie) has a comedic tone and expression. This is a must see if you like action films.

Worth Seeing, But Not the Best Die Hard

I liked this movie but it doesn't compare to the earlier Die Hards. The plot is far fetched (how does a NY cop get away with delving into the spy game?), and the first third of the movie felt slow with not the expected level of action. I also don't favor movies with subtitles, which this did for the opening segments. The action in the second half was typical Die Hard and great.
Definitely go and will be good in the DVD collection.

    Good Day to Die Hard

What a hoot! It was a ride of non stop action adventure and fun. Willis as the long suffering McClane with the disaffected son while predictable was a joy to watch. The guy is a fine actor with great comedic timing. It is a must see for any Die Hard fan.

A Good Day to Die Hard

It was CLASSIC from the beginning. Music, entertainment & laughs. I love an action movie with that bit of humor & much less 'F' bombs... it was great! You could actually take your 8 year old & they wouldn't be horrified!! Glad to have seen this Die Hard ! I would certainly give it more 'stars' than the critics did.

    I'd give it 4 stars ;)

    by

Another good die hard movie...but I prefer all the other movies. If you are a fan of the die hard series, then its a must watch!

My favorite die hard movies in order of preference:

    1. Live Free or Die Hard
    2. Die Hard with a Vengeance
    3. Die Hard
    4. Die Hard 2: Die Harder
    5. A Good Day to Die Hard

    It was ok

    Last 20 minutes were awesome.

What I didn't like was paying $1.25 x 2 fee online from Fandango for both my tickets. Really Fandango? You are thaat cheap? Maybe I should charge you for my printer ink and paper I had to use to print my tickets, pretty pathetic Fancheapgo, last time I use you clowns

If you like John McClane, You Will Like This

    by

Not the best from the Die Hard franchise but watchable. No real surprises but some of his quotes are funny, as usual. Lots of explosions, very predictable, typical Die Hard fare which is OK with me.

    Getting Tired???

    by

I'm a Die Hard diehard fan but this one left me wondering. (Spoiler Alert: Always, always we've known who the bad guy was and it was "Bruce" against the bad guy and all of his minions. Not this time and why oh why would they change this "diehard success"?) The chemistry between the characters was lacking -- what happened to the FUN -- Mr. Willis looked like he was going through the motions. Is he getting ready to pass the torch to his offspring???? Guess we'll have to wait and see. If you like lots of explosions and an excellent chase scene, go see this one but if you're looking for the MAGIC, then better to skip it and wait until it comes out on DVD or one of the cable channels.

    One Die Hard to Many

I'm a huge Die Hard fan (the first was and still is a classic), but I was hesitant on seeing this. I decided to go see it after a friend recommended it, saying it was action packed. What I expected to see and what I saw were two completely different things, leaving me disappointed. This movie is proof that you can only take a sequel so far. The acting was very flat, and the plot didn't flow well, probably because it had so many holes in it. It was like it started in the middle of a novel. The film seemed choppy, rushed, and dare I say...unrealistic. For a short movie, I found myself looking at my watch on three occassions. I wonder if the release date was close to some type of Die Hard anniversay because a better story could've been written to send the franchise off into the sunset. If you want to go see it in the theaters, check out a matinee or wait till it hits the dollar shows, don't fork over big bucks for it. Could've been better.

Excellent action scenes...but radiation part is BS

    by npd4866

The action scenes were excellent and non stop from the start. The plot twists several times and the movie kept my attention. There were some moments where it defenitely became a "hollywood" movie...action scenes that are entertaining but not very realistic. I hate to break it to you...you can't go to an area with that much radiation and hang out for hours. That part of the movie was devoid of reality...but most people are just there to be entertained. I left feeling entertained...I'd give it a 8-9 on action scenes and a 5 on reality on some scenes. Yippie Ki Ya...MFers!!!

    DIE HARD FAN

You have to be a real die hard fan to appreciate the story line. Bruce Willis is still funny and "on vacation" through the whole movie. Great action scenes, love him driving the truck out of the helicopter-that was pretty cool! I took my hubby as a V-day date because we have always watched these movies in the past together. All in all, I thought it was good!

    skip it

    by

Bruce Willis and his " son" are great to look at, BUT...there was way too much action, not enough content and the action scenes made me very queasy vision wise.

    Action Ok, plot to simple

This movie is have almost no plot twists or at least ones that you can't see coming a mile away. Really? I could not see that x betrays y but turns out they were working together? And the actions scenes were done but few and far between. No character development. The only saving grace was that they did not try to put Bruce as the only leading role.
