I still think die Hard 1 2 and 3 are better but overall this was still a good movie. Bruce Willis just looks better every movie!!!!

A Good Night to Die Hard

For a sequel of a sequel of a......well, you get it...... but for a movie in a line of sequels, A Good Day to Die Hard delivers! Great action, great lines, great actors - you don't want to miss a minute. Was it slightly far fetched? Of course, but then aren't most action movies? The Die Hard saga was never about the deep intellect and reflections or the implied metaphors that haunt you for decades. It's a shoot-em-up, tell-em-off, bang bang movie. It's exactly what a good movie is - pure entertainment. Too many critics try to read way too much into movies, which ruins it for the rest of us.

Go see this one - two hours of escapism and pure recreation!! Some of the language may make it questionable for younger kids, but in reality there's no language you don't hear in your local Walmart. Only thing that I missed in this movie was the wife/mother, Holly Gennaro. I kept hoping she made at least a cameo but the movie still stands as excellent even without Holly's appearance.

A Good Day To Die Hard

Well as being a fan of Bruce, and the "Die Hard Trilogies", my husband and I decided to go see "A Good Day To Die Hard". However, AGDTDH, lacks chemistry between John and his son; in addition, to the movie lacking a plot. On the contrary, it delivers plenty of action, Bruce Willis is in the best shape of his life, and I believe that they are trying to pass the torch to John Mcclanes son(Jack). Nevertheless, if you are a fan of Bruce Willis then sitting through AGDTDH is not a total bust, but don't expect some oscar worthy plot, because it does not exist in this movie.

It's Still Great to Die Hard!!!!

Great non-stop action. Die Hard franchise has done it again. I hope they have another one soon. Jai Courtney is very good and Bruce Willis is still great. Must see film!!!!

A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD

Another fine effort from Mr. Willis. I have watched all the Die Hard Series and it is one of the few movies that I purchase. It appears to be a set up for the next generation of Die Hard movies with a new lead. The new guy did well. As others have said, the plot was not as developed as other Die Hard movies. It was there and did make sense. I enjoyed it very much and hope Mr. Willis has enough left for another shot before moving on.

The acting was fine and the action sequences were beyond out standing.

    Hey, it's Die Hard

While not as good as my favorites (Die Hard 1 and 3), it's still a good Die Hard movie. Great effects and Jack was pretty cool. The chases and explosions were fun as well.

    Yippee Ki Yay, Mother Russia

Even though this was not the best of the series, it still was an enjoyable film. The main problem I had, was the fact that there was not a strong villian. All of the other films had a strong villian (Alan Rickman, Jeremy Irons, etc.). However, the villian wasn't clearly defined in this film. Not until the end of the movie was the villain revealed. Other than that, I enjoyed the film. Bruce Willis gave another good performance as John McClane, who just wanted a nice "vacation" with his son. Don't listen to the critics, go and enjoy.

    Getting Tired???

    by

I'm a Die Hard diehard fan but this one left me wondering. (Spoiler Alert: Always, always we've known who the bad guy was and it was "Bruce" against the bad guy and all of his minions. Not this time and why oh why would they change this "diehard success"?) The chemistry between the characters was lacking -- what happened to the FUN -- Mr. Willis looked like he was going through the motions. Is he getting ready to pass the torch to his offspring???? Guess we'll have to wait and see. If you like lots of explosions and an excellent chase scene, go see this one but if you're looking for the MAGIC, then better to skip it and wait until it comes out on DVD or one of the cable channels.

A Good Day To Die Hard

    by mechare

As a 5th installment to a franchise this movie could definately have sucked, but John McClain rides again in Russia. The movie was good, without a bunch of crappy CGI effects that might have looked fakely spectacular but not delivered the same impact that the previous Die Hard Movies had. If I had to rank them the first and the fourth movies are still my favorite. I was really hoping that Justing Long would pop up in this movie because I loved him and McClain together in the last movie. If you are looking for a good action movie go see this, you'll like it and it is a satisfying addition to the series.

MUST SEE for all old fans and new!

LOVED this movie as much as the others, so if you are a fan of these movies, it's a MUST see!
However, even if you've never seen a "Die Hard" movie, you can still see this first and then see the others later!
I hope there are spin-offs with the son!

    Back in the Saddle

    by tasarla

Well, diehard Bruce Willis fans like me will like this 5th offering in the franchise. Probably guys get off on the father-son bonding - a little hard to swallow but then I am not a man. Think a male might buy it more readily. The action itself is great, you won't be disappointed.

I have to say I also like Willis in other roles. An actor with such versatility should not be forced to be John McClain for us forever.

    TYPICAL BRUCE WILLIS

    by cassnjc

Movie was great!! Just what you'd expect out of yet another Die Hard movie, but I think they've all been good and this one did not dissapoint!!

Typical Bruce WIllis humor made the movie - I'm on Vacation - he's say throughout dodging bullets.

Hubby and I went together and he enjoyed it more than I did!!

    Lotsa action!

A Good Day to Die Hard

    by fred1

The only reason people are going to see this movie is because of the great scripts, action packed 3 former films and the return of Bruce Willis. However, this movie is not like any of the first 3 films. This one fell way short! The diaglogue and plot was virtually non-existant and when they did speak it was dry and flat. The script was terrible, and if you could call that a plot, it was so predictable that you didn't even have to think about it. The movie was basicly the same non stop action that you have seen before. My advice? Save your money and watch something else.
