    BLOODY AWESOME!!!

What a great movie!!! Bruce Willis does not dissapoint even at his age now. For all your action lovers, and die hard fanatics, this is the perfect movie for you all. You know what you are expecting out of this movie, and that is blood, action, guns, and some great one liners! Bruce Willis is on a mission to find his son and try to be a father once again. Little does he know, he will have a short vacation and help his son on a mission to get out of Russia. There will be car chases, gun battles, and explosions all over the place! What a fun movie to spend on a Saturday afternoon. Go check it out and have some fun! Keep the kids at home.

    You've gotta be kidding.

    by

On the way out of the movie I turned to my friend and we both agreed there was NO plot. He asked me what it was about I told him it was about an hour and forty minutes. There was non-stop action; chase scenes, bang-bang shoot-em-up, vehicles and helicopters exploding. For some reason Bruce Willis' character was on "vacation" in Russia. His bad boy son turned out to be some type of CIA/Master spy dude. There was a good one moment and bad the next father/daughter team. For some reason everyone was trying to kill everyone else. It ended up in the city of Chernobyl. Why? I don't know. Writing this review was the best part of seeing this movie. If you love action and don' care about plot, rush out and see it now.

    good movie!

Not one of the best Die Hard's ever but it was very action packed. I liked the direction of the movie but Bruce Willis keeps saying the same things throughout the movie. This was the first Die Hard in some time to be R but there was nothing that really made it a hard R movie. A lot of cursing but not a lot of gore. A lot of action, some unbelievable but if Die Hard was to end with this movie, it would be a good ending to a great series

    umm ok, the no brainer

    by exp93

what i mean by the no brainer is ..u wont need a brain to watch this one. hundreds of bullets and no one gets shot. big bullets and everyone lives except the bad guys. toxic gases and water but the protagonists live on. More good than bad, lots of action and the son was good in his role. The bad guys were good. it was a no brainer ride. It was better than the last one

    PASSING OF THE TORCH?

Action packed from the start and you can tell that Bruce is getting old but it was a great side kick role to his son. I think if they keep making die hard movies this could be a passing of the torch to Jr. Great story and its still not better than Die Hard with a Vengeance! I am on vacation was the highlight and wish they would of had his wife in some point of the movie and it would of made for a great reunion movie. Heartfelt ending and great movie overall!

    Die Hard Fans

    by

Bruce Willis Has made another Die Hard movie that is fast pace, with lots of action. The writer tried but some humor did not work. Action and directing was good. Chase scenes great. I idid miss the "Yipee Kiyay" was missing. Die Hard movie produced over 25 years will not disappoint their fans.

Hard to see A Good Day To Die Hard be over.

Great movie! Great way for the new action star (What was his name?) to make his movie debut. Bruce was very kind to do this for him. This movie could have used a few more Bruce Willis quips that we were accustomed to in the previous Die Hard movies. The most he got off here was "we gonna get you a CIA cookie". I think that in the previous movies, the thing was, just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, when you thought it was all over, they took you to a new level, and then when you thought that was it, here it came again. In this one, the action was great and the plot twist was good, but it came to a very predictable end. When I thought it was over, it really was over. I went home wanting more.

Great Action and Plenty of One-Liners

If you have ever seen a Die Hard movie you know what to expect. John McClaine gets into another action packed adventure and this time he's with his son. All the snarky one-liners, catchphrases, explosions and crazy car chases are packed in to this father/son bonding experience. If you enjoy a good old fashioned action flick this is for you.

    Lots of Action

    by

Pretty good movie. There wasn't a lot of dialogue, mostly explosions. Movie kept up at a good speed and didn't drag. Not a bad movie for a long weekend or a rainy day.

    A Must See

My boyfriend and I really love action movies and this was by far another great one with Bruce Willis. It kept our attention from the beginning to the end.

A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD, DOES.

    by

Other than lots of action, this movie falls short in the central feeling of the other Die Hard movies. Little comic relief made for a long and tedious action movie. In the end I was shell shocked, not shocked and awed.

    I fell asleep

I was awake for the first 30 minutes, fell asleep during a scene with lots of explosions and gunfire and woke up 45 minutes later to the same stuff. I have no idea what the movie was about and I have a feeling if I had stayed awake, I still wouldn't.

Don't Waste Your $, Rent It

    by

Die Hard movies typically have a formula. There's JM introduced to a situation he fell into, 75% of the movie is JM strategically trying to get the bad guy (emphasis on strategically), mix of comedy here and there, (most of the time) a great villain who you get to know. Now for Die Hard 5...
None of that applies here except for things exploding. 90% of the movie was a chase scene that JM mostly walked straight into within the first 5 seconds of the movie. No strategy, just chase, jump, run, explode. And the bad guy...you don't care enough about it in the end because its not fleshed out at all. It seems rushed. When the bad guy is introduced, JM and son figure it out within seconds with no real threat to themselves.
My final word on it is this: it was an awfully unfulfilling mixture of The Expendables and Indiana Jones (the end smelled richly of IJ). The only thing Die Hard about it was Bruce Willis and Die Hardisms thrown here and there. Extremely disappointing for BW last DH film.

A Good Day to Die Hard

    by dma415

Excellent movie. Bruce Willis as usual at his best. It was great twist to have him renite with his son and see the two of them in action together. Love all the crash scenes as well as the gun scenes. Bruce's humor is still as fresh as the days of Moonlighting.
