    Great

    by

Based on Tim Burton's original movie he created a very well remake of a live-action film into stop-motion. Black and white through out the whole film makes it feel like your watching an older movie and the theme is Frankenstein. Of course. Main character pulls a hat trick brings back his dog gets tricked into showing how he did it now all the other kids are doing it and when they do... Hits the fan.

This film is fantastic and cute. Lots of cliché's. Something you should watch at least once.

    Frankenfunny!

    by

The old-style Tim Burton animation is back and it delivers yet again. Literally the only thing missing was music. As a huge fan of Nightmare and also enjoying Corpse Bride I guess I just expected more of a musical, but it's not. However, the story is extremely fun and very clever. Homage is paid to all the old classic horrors films through characters and scenes which adds a little bit to the enjoyment. The characters mesh well together and each one has their own humor. However, Weird Girl and her cat, Mr. Whiskers, are my personal favorite. Take the kids or leave them at home, you'll enjoy this film regardless!

    This one's for the kiddies

This is a very sweet movie with some cute references and a neat story about a boy and his dog. This movie is greatly made for the little ones, who will find it funny, charming, and awesome - judging from the laughter and oo's and ahh's heard from the kiddies in the theater. If you're older than 10, don't expect to be wowed. It's no Nightmare Before Christmas.. You'll most likely find it lacking. We would score it below ParaNorman on the enjoyment scale. But it is a very cute movie that the little ones will enjoy.

    FRANKENWENIE

I loved the movie. Tim Burdon is a genius! HOWEVER, HATE FANDANGO. THE MOVIE COST ME 50% more than I would have had to pay if I had gone on my own and it was very inconvenient to have to order it online. Movies are so outrageously expensive now anyway and FANDANGO just ads inult to injury.

    Tim Burton is a genius!!

I took my 10 year and 5 year old nieces to see Frankenweenie, hoping that they would fall in love with the magic that is Tim Burton. They LOVED it, as did I. They were laughing so hard, especially at Mr. Whiskers. The characters are strange, but this is Tim Burton and anything less would not be acceptable. Moments in the movie remind me Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice and of course the original Frankenstein. Tim Burton does not disappoint, he is a genius!!

    Great Movie ...

    by

Frankenweenie - A must see for the entire family.

For the kids great fun and good family life lessons around love, life loss and responsibility. For the parents, great memories of all the great monster movies growing up and reminder to trust your kids to make the right choices.

    Interesting

    by

We liked the movie, but I don't recommend bringing a toddler to watch with you. Our daughter lost interest every now and then. All in all it was good.

    Great Movie. Classic Tim Burton

    by ljulien

Frankenweenie was a wonderful movie. I will probably see it again because Tim Burton's attention to detail is so spot on that I want to go back and look for things I might not have noticed the first time. Sparky and Victor's relationship took me right back to my own childhood pets and at times it was very emotional. The characters were all just perfectly blended into the story and I never expected to be so touched by this story but it did pull at my heartstrings and remind me how much love our pets bring to our lives. I especially loved how he paid homage to all of the classic horror movies throughout the movie.

This is Tim Burton at his finest

This movie is an absolute delight! If you haven't seen it yet, get your ticket NOW. I never pay to see a movie twice, but I'm going back to see this my next day off. The story is wonderful and the animation is superb. Tim Burton has a winner here; for adults and kids alike this movie is a winner. Now, stop reading and go see "Frankenweenie!"

    GREAT Movie!!!

Wow, this was really a great movie! I have to say I was very skeptical because of the negative reviews on here but I am so glad I decided to go and see it!! We had a large group for my son's 10th birthday party, 22 people total ranging from age 4 to 44. Everyone loved it. This movie had me laughing, and I admit I teared up a little bit in one spot. I want to make sure to say this movie has a happy ending. Some of the reviews make it seem like it's a sad ending. It is a tad scary for some little ones but nothing over the top (in my opinion). The 4 yr old that was with us was just fine. I just loved this movie and can't wait to see it again.

    Frankenweenie

I was surprised at how dark the theme was for being a Disney movie. Of course, Disney makes great endings! Don't want to give it away. I loved the story line. Loved that it was in black and white. Made the movie very retro. Liked it very much.

Clever Flim but may be too much for young children

    by

It was a very good movie! We had a blast with my nephew and my husband and I are Burton fans. But there are situations and topics that may not be great for the young ones. It's Burton baby. You pretty much know what you're in for when you go in. Just keep that in mind.

    Frankenweenie

I really liked it. I am a really big Tim Burton fan, so my opinion may be biased, but I loved the B&W effect, the story, the characters, and the eerie ghoulishness. If you have seen Burton's early films of Victor and Frankenweenie (short version, non-animated) and can appreicate them, then you will enjoy this movie.

One thing to keep in mind for kids is that although the movie is not scary it does have a couple sad moments that could upset young children under 5-7 (approx.). I guess just use your judgement when it comes to taking kids to see this movie.

I just LOVED it! So did my husband and 11-year-old twins!

We saw the 2D version - I prefer not having to wear cardboard on my head for 2 hours - and my son wears glasses, so 3D glasses over them is not comfortable. Loved everything about this movie - it's a Tim Burton masterpiece! Great characters, great acting - I cried once, my daughter - twice. I can see where it might be a little scary for perhaps a 7 year old and under, but nothing fazed my two. I would see it again now! A great Halloween movie!

I took my 5 year old grandson to see this movie, he loved it, but to be honest, I think the humor was a little dry.
