    HIstory/sacrifice put on film beautifully

    One of the better movies I've seen in a long time. Based on a true story of sacrifice and courage by a covert operative...this kind of story is not heard by the man on the street very often.

    Great moment in american history and international cooperation...on the part of the Canadians.

    Must see...especially, the iPhone generation.

    Worth it

    Movie is good, and it happens to be true. Even though I knew the end results I still sat there with my fingers crossed hoping the 6 people woutl get out.

    This is a great movie based on a true story. While there are some artistic liberties to add to the drama, the story itself is incredible. The acting is excellent and, like with Apollo 13, even though you know the outcome, you are on the edge of seats as it unfolds.

    Argo was everything I had hoped it would be i.e.good acting, good directing, great photography,
    great history for those who didn't live through it It was sold out the first night. I would encourage anyone to go and want to get DVD. Congratulations to Ben Afflick! May this not be your last.

    Argo is a superbly crafted thriller!

    It's tough to maintain suspense in a film based on real life events, because we all know the ending. (Yes, the Titanic had to sink, folks. Stuff happens.) However, a well-written script, well-paced direction and fine performances by the entire csat make Argo a must-see. If nothing else, you'll leave the theatre with renewed respect for Canada. Go!

    ARGO

    This is the second time I've gone to see Argo and I LOVED it. Surely right up there with Lincoln for Best Picture Of The Year! It may be my all-time favorite movie.

    Not a docu drama

    They managed to make this very entertaining and the acting was very good. It has it all - drama, action, comic relief. Go - you won't be disappointed.

    Great movie

    I must admit I was a bit skeptic going to seethis movie, but it really held it's own. The storyline really kept my interest. The fact that it was based off of real events intrigued me. I would recommend if you want to watch a good movie go see this today.

    Need to see it, but not necessarily at the theater

    Great movie, very intriguing story that seems to totally revolve around a slip of paper and potential mis-filing. It is incredible that they could make such an enthralling story that is centered around such a mundane countenance. There is much more going on in the film, including some historical context which really carries the film.

    Even knowing the real life outcome of this story, the on screen portrayal was as riveting, suspenseful and overwhelmingly satisfying as any fictional story could possibly have been. It was like watching the actual events in the same real time sequence, and anxiety, that I vividly remember when they actually occurred.

    Don't miss this one!

    This movie is great for just about any type of movie you are looking for. It is touching, funny, motivating, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I literally was biting my nails during it. What is exceptionally great about this movie is that it tells such a great story from our history and they use clips of real life news reports from 1979/1980. I was in a packed full theater and, with the exception of a handful of people, everyone sat not making a move as the credits started rolling and they showed pictures from the actual events. President Carter then says words about this event and it is extremely moving. This is one film that you do not want to miss and one that is probably best seen in a theater and not waiting for the DVD.

    ARGO

    This movie by far was the best movie I have seen in a long time! Ben Affleck does an outstanding job on and off camera. This was based on a true story which I remember but still proved to be very suspenseful. This movie is not for small children.

    Argo-***&^ Yourself!!!

    This movie is the BEST I have seen in long time...I'm not that much of a Ben Affleck fan but his role as CIA Agent Anthony Mendez was great...The story line is pretty close to true but the film kept me on the edge of my seat...I am also a history buff and hollywood got the authenticity of the era, the geography, and the overall feel right!! Wether you are a history buff or a hollywood nut you will love this one...I have new found respect for Affleck after this film, since he not only stars but produces this masterpiece.
    Don't wait for this one to come to On Demand or NetFlix...You gotta see it at the movies!!

    Awesome
