    funny-but goofy of course

Okay so I'm the typical female...don't really like stupid movies. This one is a "stupid" movie but I actually laughed some! It was a lot funnier than I thought. So go see it, buy it or rent the dvd one night....it's pretty good. Just know there are a LOT of stupid parts!

Worst Adams Sandler movie I have ever seen!

While I will admit that it had some funny parts...this movie was the worst Adam Sandler movie I have ever seen! And I am a huge fan of his! I am not sure why he feels the need to be completely vulgar and use non-stop profanity for a movie..not to mention the story line was very inappropriate...but neither is necessary to make a good comedy. In fact...my boyfriend and I walked out before we even got half way through the movie! And other people were walking out and some asking for a refund! I was very offended and he even thought it was very inappropriate. After this movie, I am worried what will happen to Sandler's career. I am so turned off by him now that I didn't even want to rent one of his new releases at the video store this week.

Very funny but not your typical AS movie.

    by sansfx

That's My Boy is about a guy who has an affair w/his teacher, has a kid, raises him but then becomes estranged from him as he become an adult. Many of the scenes are over-the-top and this movie is not your typical Adam Sandler kid-friendly PG-13 movie. I brought my 12 yo cousin w/me but I didn't realize it was R rated until I looked at the movie stub. The situations are as far out as "The Hangover I and II".

While I do think it was a really funny movie it was really far out. I don't recommend bringing your kids.

Not a good Adam Sandler movie

I read some bad reviews about this movie and some good ones. I decided to go see anyway and agree with the bad reviews. It's like they took every possible gross thing they could think of and crammed it into this movie. I thought the acting was horrible from all and Adam should go ahead and stop making movies. I hate to say that because I am a big fan of his. I would not buy this movie or ever see it again. Frankly, I'm ashamed I went to see it because the bad reviews were absolutely correct. There was maybe 2 funny parts, the rest was a complete waste and could've been so much better.

Has it's parts, but has plenty cheesy parts too

For sure, this movie has its funny parts. But it has these obvious reaches for humor that are just cheesy and "old-fashioned" feeling. As if it was written by some 55 year old man who just writes what he thinks the 18-30 age group would find funny. "Oh man! We'll make them all pee outside a diner while all the customer are watching! Oh ahaha that's so funny!" ......no. It's not. It's dumb and belongs in an older slapstick comedy.

    Funny!

I got to see this movie weeks ago at a preview screening. I went with a friend, both of us are gals in our mid twenties. We thought the movie was hilarious! Of course it's crude, its rated R and it's an Adam Sandler movie. We both thought it was back to Adam Sandler's old school ways. I would recommend it to anyone! Will be buying when it comes out on dvd.

    Disappointment

Terrible movie ....a waste of money. Did Vanilla Ice and Sandler just decide to get together and make a movie one drunken night. Just tons of immoral stupid behavior thrown in every scene. I usually like Adam Sandlers movies but stupid and immoral just didn't do it for me.

If your skeptical give it a shot

I went to this movie last monday fully expecting to hate it. I mean lets be honest the commercial makes this movie look like something that if it were played on an airplane you would jump off. I was pleasantly surprised though in how much I found myself laughing out loud in the movie theater and how much other people were laughing. I am not someone who laughs out loud when watching movies but this is one of those raunchy movies that you need to watch with out a drink to keep from spitting it on to the people in front of you. If you hate raunchy movies then definitely don't go but Sandler definitely took a step in the right direction with this one which I would claim was his best movie since the classic 90's movies. One person I went with said it was his best one but I would probably put it in between waterboy (below That's My Boy) and Billy Madison (above That's My Boy)

    That's My Boy

Crude, but funny. This piece of life is a sticky wicket. And, just about everyone in it has a hidden agenda making for a lot of twists and turns. Not how life should be lived, but funny to watch nonetheless. If the f-word were taken out of the film, it would be about an hour shorter. To enjoy this film, you must have a high tolerance for crudity.

    horrible

tHIS MOVIE was the most Horrible movie I have seen by Adam Sandler. I was not given many options for this gift card and was also dissapointed with that. I used this as a "fathers" day thing and was not happy. I would not sugget to anyone to get giftcards off of Fandango as not only are there not any options for picking the movie you want to see but also there were not many choises for palces in our area.

    Thank you,

    Angela Pinchek

    Cude but fun

    by jbroin

I enjoyed this movie for it's outrageous content. It stuck with Adam Sandler base content, being quite outrageous and sexually charged with, sometimes, hard to watch comedy. the message and father son relations was rather humerus, and I enjoyed myself, and laughed often. I would not recommend this movie for kids, due to the number of breasts, and foul language. If you are into Adam Sandler movies like Billy Madison this is probably for you. It ads a spin but the general comedy is similar enough I think.
