A fitting end to a fantastic trilogy

I took the time to see this with my friends and it was by far the best money I've spent on a movie in a long time (aka 2 months since The Avengers). How everything comes together is spectacular. I can honestly say I am not disappointed in any way.

    Also, Anne Hathaway... :D

    AWESOME!

I still can't say it was better the The Dark Knight as the performance by Heath Ledger as the Joker was simply remarkable, but The Dark Knight Rises was an awesome, action-packed spectacular event, complete with an unexpected twist near the end. Clearly the best movie of the summer, if not the year to date. Don't be surprised to see if nominated for some Golden Globes and Academy Awards.

The IMAX Experience is an awesome deal, so go to an IMAX if it is feasible to do so. I highly recommend this movie!!!

    Loved it!!!

Great action, great characters (especially Bane) and terrific mood setting, both visually and with music. Only gripe is the length. Could have trimmed at least 15 to 20 minutes of unduly long fight scenes, but the action was so well done it isn't enough to take away from the overall experience. Great way to end the trilogy!

    Amazing!!!!

    by

This movie was well worth it. The story was great, the characters were awesome, and the twist was unpredictable!! I enjoyed every minute of this movie. I would definitely see it again and again! Cannot wait until part 4!!!!! Even though the Dark Knight will always be my favorite, R.I.P. Heathe Ledger, this one was just as good. 'Til part 4!!!

    Excellent Movie!

Christopher Nolan definitely knows how to work these movies. Great closure for Bruce Wayne's (therefore Christian Bale) role as a superheroe. Great effects and very well developed storyline. You have to really pay attention (especially at beginning) to understand everything what's going on, particularly to understand Bane's voice.

A Worthy Conclusion but far from perfect.

    by RYPD

The worst thing you can do is go in thinking it will be like the Dark Knight. You will be sorely disappointed. The entire movie leaves you thinking, if Heath Ledger didn't die, this movie would have been a lot better. They made it work, but there were obvious flaws. All these things added up and took focus away from the film. It's a must see, but as a film it is hindered by its overloaded plot lines. It suffered from the "Spiderman 3 effect." You don't walk away from it feeling completely satisfied because you just wish Nolan noticed these problems. SPOILER SECTION: The last scene was overkill. It should have cut to black when we saw Alfred smile and nod. NO NEED to cut to Bruce and Selina. Cut to BLACK Inception style. ALSO, as good as the ending was, in bringing back the Florence story, Batman should have died! More EPIC! It would have shown how the batman is passed on and on, and each one eventually must sacrifice themseves. ALSO, Robin's real name is not Robin. It's ****Grayson

A great ending to the trilogy

I couldn't understand half of Bane's dialogue and he sounded like Sean Connery with marbles in his mouth, but that doesn't take away too much from this very predictable but entertaining action flick!

    .

I am going to see this again, and most likely while it is still in theatres. I was that good. I really like the open ending and the growth in the character development. Bane's voice was really cool too. That character was well done with Extremely expressive eyes.

    Anything but mediocre!

Everyone that says this movie does not live up to a hype must've not been watching the same movie I did. From the incredibly powerful fight scenes to some really emotional scenes, I truly believe this movie had it all. You will not be let down for one second, while watching this. Two hours and forty five minutes will fly-by.

    AMAZING!!!!!!

    by

What a way to end a trilogy. You must see it yourself. No description from me or anyone else will do it justice. The Avengers was good, but the The Dark Knight Rises was great! Avengers had action and story but The Dark Knight Rises had a great story and the action supported it! I was emotionally invested throughout the movie. At times I was near times and others my heart broke as well as jumped in excitement. you must pay attention to the plot as it will unfold and make sense. Great way to incorporate parts from each movie to try it all together! All of Anne Hathaway's haters must bow down, she IS CATWOMAN!!!!! Excellent job Chris Nolan and crew. Someone did their homework on comic book plots and folded them all together!

The final chapter of Nolan's trilogy is AMAZING!!! JUST AS GOOD AS THE SECOND MOVIE IF NOT BETTER!!! It's a must see!! Very well done and put together! Great for anybody of any age (although there are a couple, I believe 2, swear words in there.). Everything was close to perfect or perfect! GO SEE IT NOW!
    ESPECIALLY good in IMAX.

    Rise

    by bondzoo

Nolan finishes the trilogy with superb skill. Only he can put together such a great story. Seeing it in IMAX is a must as it was filmed with an IMAX camera. We may never witness another superhero series like this. Not as good as the Dark Knight but it "Rises" to the calling of greatness!

An Epic end to an amazing trilogy!

    by

This has been one of the best series of movies ever and by far the best and the most consistent comic book series of all time. This final installment dosnt hold back or disappoint. It stays true to the spirit of the characters while still keeping them roughly grounded in reality. The story is brilliantly crafted and the casting continues to be on point. Hathaway and Hardy truly brought these iconic characters to life. Can't wait to own the complete series on blue ray.

    The Dark Knight Rose!!!

I am NOT a die hard Batman or marvel fan but this movie is a must see. The story line pulled you in and kept you there. Well worth the IMAX experience.

    Great Movie, IMAX = Eeehhhh...

    by

I absolutely LOVED the Dark Knight Rises. There was very little about the plot and cinematography I can complain about.

My complaint, however, was with IMAX. I was sitting on the very edge of the theater and maybe 5-8 rows up, and so the image was a bit distorted. From where I was sitting, I may as well have paid a normal price to see it in normal theaters. Also, the sound was TERRIBLE. I couldn't understand half the things Bane said, and missed other bits of dialogue.

So the MOVIE was great. Go see it in normal theaters. IMAX was not worth the extra 8-10 dollars. I'll go see it again when it hits my local $3 theater.
